Exchanging GH3 Bundle @ GS

My GH3 guitar is broken (oj button don't work) so I'm going back to GS. The reciept says I have 7 days and I need to exchange the same item.

GH3s are really rare, they sell out quick. Chances are, they won't have another one in the store.

That being said, if I walk in and try to exchange it and they don't got any guitars, what happens?

Do I get the misfortune of keeping this guitar?
Do I get to have a full refund? (in cash)
Do I get a full refund? (in credit)

most stores got more today.. my store got 8 bundles in today. They may instruct you to come back whenever they have more in.

Tomorrow is the 7th and final day, how does that work? lol

IDK man, I bought mine just a week ago when they had a fresh batch.

Rock Band sold out their shipment in like a week, I imagine GH does the same.

In case they don't have one, I still get to come back later (even though its the last day tomorrow)
 
My best bet or guess is maybe just bring the whole damn bundle with the game. Depending on the employee or manager there I'm sure they'd at least give you store credit or something on those lines. Just try not to be a dick about it is really best thing I can say and hope for the best.

Worse comes to worse, fix it yourself on http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=628006&st=0 (credit to GH3 360 board for that) or send it to RedOctane I guess.
 
I bought my Guitar Hero 3 bundle on launch day, whenever that was. About 3 weeks after I had it, the green button on my Guitar quit working. I took my guitar into Gamestop and they swapped it out for me, taking only the guitar out of a new bundle and putting my broken guitar in its place.

Last week my guitar did the same thing...the green button just randomly quits working. I no longer had my receipt, but I took my guitar back into Gamestop and they exchanged it for me again. If my guitar continues to break before I get a reasonable amount of use out of it, I will continue to take them into Gamestop for a replacement. I realize that at some point they won't exchange it for me, but I guess since we're still in the Christmas return period, they didn't give me a hassle.

Does anyone know if Activision has a replacement program like EA does with Rock Band? If I could get a replacement in 2-3 days, I wouldn't have a problem going through them, but I have heard no one mention that they do.
 
Try disconnecting the neck of the guitar and plugging it back in. The orange button might work again. Make sure there isn't any dust on the contacts of the neck too. That detactable neck isn't the best design when it comes to reliability of buttons working.

But the receipt should also say you have 30 days on defective returns. So you should be fine. Bring the game in, tell them the problem, either they will return it for credit, replace it, or give you a time when they can replace it.

Only 7 days for defective exchange on new items. 30 days is for used items.
 
I'm annoyed. I called GS and they have no bundles, guy put me on hold. *Waits 20 minutes* "Oh, maybe he hung up"

I called again, "let me reconnect you to the manager" *click*

I'm on wait again, I think he's just hanging up the phone on purpose = =

I don't know if I should call again and be like "ya bastard stop hanging the phone and give me ma money"

nvm he just got back (lol im being a paranoid idiot) and said the best he could do was give me a full refund. I like it, that means I can swap it for Rock Band. Yay! :D

guy was very nice too. GS hasn't screwed me over like most of you guys.
