My Wii-buying is surprisingly plentiful (well, more than it has been since launch)... definitely picking up RE4 this month and MP3 in August and today should see me getting Super Paper Mario... so I may turn the system on again soon. Which would be good.

Then again, Rogue Galaxy takes priority over everything.

unfortunately, I only get to play one or two of these a day and only for an hour or two.

I'm going to write a list of all the games I've bought in recent months, barely started, or never started.
And need to finish.
I guess people here are used to having backlogs of games, but not me. Could never afford many games at my old retail job.

Could never afford many games at my old retail job.
I've managed to avoid having a backlog of Wii games for the most part - so far. I don't ever plan on finishing Trauma Center, so that doesn't count. Nothing else "finishable" was left, so just got MP8 and Godfather at CC.

Still have far too many GBA games sitting unplayed. Too many RPGs that take a long time to finish.
The stupid PSP ruined my no-backlog-having.

I mean, there's no games for that system.
Yeah, jeeze! PSP has no good games!
Gosh, finally. It only took until 3-5, but I finally made it out of a level with all 20 LocoRoco.
Isn't that a great game? I finished it but I went back and started trying to find everything on all the levels - I'm 100% through 3-4 or something. It is tough becuase even if you find everything there are certain places where it's tough to not get hit and lose a LocoRoco or two.
Is TR:A hitting the PSP too? I don't trust them to not totally botch the Wii controls.
I'm sorry, but I literally laughed out loud when reading this. I find it funny that someone would turn to the PSP version of a game to avoid "botched" controls.

Anyway, the last console game I finished was Super Paper Mario. Rocket Slime was the last DS game I finished. Currently playing Portrait of Ruin (more of the same, but in a good way) and I'm playing Shadow of the Colossus when I get the time.

No PS2 here. :) The Eidos guy was talking along thwe lines of clicking the remote to jump. I want to part of that.

When is TR:L for the 360 gonna finally drop to a $20 MSRP so I can get it for like $15 or less on eBay?

How do you not have a PS2?

Looking at the completed auctions, it seems easy to snag for $15 now.

Ahhh. OK, that makes sense. Did you have a PS2 at one point? I thought I remember you talking about SotC in a thread a while ago.
How do you not have a PS2?
Had one, played the few exclusives that interested me, and sold it. The only game I've not gotten to play that I want to is Okami. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Wii port.

The company that originally made it has broken up hasn't it?
Still has a chance I suppose.
The company that originally made it has broken up hasn't it?

I just finished Crackdown...great game. I have a mess of stuff to play. I need to get back to Zelda TP...I'm on dungeon 7 now I think...its just I know when I play it I'll need a good chunk of time which I don't always have. I also need to get back to 007 Everything or Nothing...suprisingly fun game. I've been playing Puzzle Quest on the PSP religously but I'm at the last boss and I'm getting wooped so I might switch to something else for a bit. RE4 Wii is on my want list for the near future.

I think I might start rogue galaxy today. Hearing you guys talk about it so much has me itching to crack open my copy I bought at release. *Shame*

I'm actually enjoying my PS2 more than anything. Since I don't have broadband right now, The 360 is collecting dust. It's quite sad. I'd like to continue to play oblivion and some other games on it too. I'm selling off a few of the backlogged ones now.

Im also very pissed about indigo prophecy too. What potential, how ruined. Apparently it was designed to be an episodic game, but that was scrapped late in development, and they tied the whole thing together in a very sloppy manner, with lots of groan-worthy story developments. I hate that.

I'm kinda feeling like I should ditch my copy of Gears of War. I just can't get into it. And after playing R6:V, the cover system just feels very clumsy.

I felt the same way, daroga. GoW is also so random online, and too many kids. I never really did get into it. You shouldn't keep it for the single player, but I think that goes without saying. ;)

It won't be worth squat after halo 3 comes out, so i figure if i ever want to re-buy, that'll be be the time.

I wish I would have been playing RS:V from the beginning, I wasted time with Gears based on hype too.

Give it some time. I got it at launch in November and played for a while and couldn't get into it. I picked it back up in January and I was obsessed - I absolutely LOVE Gears of War - perfect pacing, difficulty, graphics, co-op, multiplayer, etc.

Yeah, I don't play Gears online aside from when I'm playing with CAGs and other people I know. The unfortunate thing about a game being popular is that people know about it, and people are annoying. Or something like that.

That said, I did enjoy the single player for Gears quite a bit. Yeah, the storyline is completely nonexistent, but it was definitely an interesting take on the shooter genre.

alrighty, doing it. Posted a new trade list. Haven't had one for a while, but it's time to move some stuff again.

I think LocoRoco has stolen my soul. I cannot get the yellow guys' song out of my head.
Hey, does Google Checkout $10 off still work at Buy.com?

I heard they axed it.
They still have it on their website, so I think it still works. I hope they don't get rid of it, there's some good deals there!

There are a LOT of pricegrabber rebates on that sites for games I own.. Never even tried it until now.

I've never done the PG rebate thing, but am thinking about it to get Outrun 2006 for $5. You just need to write a review, adn then send in a copy of your receipt and ac opy of the UPC from the game?

Yep. And the review is like... a few sentences. I haven't done PG stuff in a couple years, but when I did, I got literally $250 from them.

I thought Loco Roco owned my soul until I picked up Puzzle Quest  whoa.
I meant to try it out for a few minutes last night and ended up putting a good hour and a half into it.

pisses me off how the cpu always gets amazing chains and moves though :bomb:

I have played puzzle quest for about an hour since I bought it at release.

My GF has it under lock and key at her place.. She actually got a DS Lite to play on her own.

Thanks!

$18.99 shipped for RE 4 Wii is right up my alley.

And with Pricegrabber, it is WAY different than it used to be - only 5 submissions per month now, so a cap of $25. You can send in another five exactly 30 days from the mailing date of your last five, IIRC.

They are just now processing the ones they received from me two weeks ago, but they all went through no problem, so a free $25 - I have June, July, and August forms all ready to go too.

The forms only last 3 months so it's really only beneficial to grab 15 forms at a time, instead of going crazy with it.

Back in the day, you could do as many as you wanted at one time, so I think I got $120 in rebate checks from PG about two years ago.

Just bought a nice package. Haven't touched it but once.

Man, I know I have more games just laying around.

I played GHII 360, Senko no Ronde, and Halo3 beta this week (a short one since I was on vacation). Also tried some AoF Collection. Will be jumping back into Pokemon and Puzzle Quest this weekend probably--so many games, so little time...

thanks roufus, I was about to ask if there was a limit to how many you send in at a time. Can you send all 5 in one envelope?

Yeah, you can send all 5 in one envelope. They don't mind.

Side note: Nothing in the mail today... I did get a nice game via UPS though. I'll take a pic of my gaming gets later today.
thanks roufus, I was about to ask if there was a limit to how many you send in at a time. Can you send all 5 in one envelope?
Yea, I did 5 in one envelope, and you can do scans / copies of the UPC's and of the receipts as well.

Just have the reviews done BEFORE you mail the rebates, to avoid potential hassle.

I just got $40 back in OCZ rebates today, so I'll cash them tomorrow and grab Mario Party 8 from CC so the gf and I have something to play together again on the Wii.

I'm presently playing through the Xbox game library. I just finished Halo, and now I'm playing both Crimson Skies (excellent) and Fable (superb).

As you might be able to tell, I'm a "gen behind."

Are there any games scheduled for release on "last gen" systems? I don't expect to join the current gen until at earliest first quarter next year.

There's quite a few Playstation 2 games that look really good... stuff like Persona 3 and GrimGrimoire. There's also a number of SNK fighters scheduled for release here. Though admittedly, if you don't like really Japanese games, you probably won't like what's on the PS2.

The Gamecube and Xbox are completely dead though, so don't expect anything there.
Though admittedly, if you don't like really Japanese games, you probably won't like what's on the PS2.
Japanese games are fine (though I'm really digging the American Xbox games I listed above). Is there a good joypad for fighting games for the PS2? I wouldn't even try playing SNK fighters with the Dual Shock 2.
The Gamecube and Xbox are completely dead though, so don't expect anything there.
I kinda figured that . . . I did get Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess for GameCube last winter, though.

Now Playing
:ps2:
Odin Sphere
Kingdom Hearts 2
King of Fighters 2006

PSX
Threads of Fate
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy Tactics(On my PSP)
Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure (On my PSP)

Can't wait to play:
Tomb Raider Anniversary
Since I just got my PSP, I'm busy with Lumines, Outrun, LocoRoco, GTA LCS, and Guilty Gear
Nice, so you did get Guilty Gear. How's Judgment stack up to other beat 'em ups? I never actually bought the PSP game so I dunno.

Dunno, I havnt touched the beat em up yet. All I've been playing is # Reloaded. I loved the game on xbox, but it always gave me DDE's :[

Can't beat GG on the throne...good times :D

Oh, and when reformatting my memory stick yesterday, my GTA file got corrupted in the transfer. I deleted the file off my comp (in a bout of stupidity) before realizing it :[

Atleast I was only 3 hours or so in.
I'm kinda feeling like I should ditch my copy of Gears of War. I just can't get into it. And after playing R6:V, the cover system just feels very clumsy.
Right, R6:V's system is very clumsy, while Gears is the hotness. :)

Jeez, it was a pain in the ass making a JPN PSN account. Mainly because I mistyped my password.

Oh, and to be up to speed with everyone else:

Currently, I am playing:

:360:
Halo 3 beta
Panzar Dragoon Orta
Gears of War

:ps2:
Shadow of the Colossus
Odin Sphere
Right, R6:V's system is very clumsy, while Gears is the hotness. :)
Nah. The counter-terroist guys aren't lathered in super glue like the Gears guys are. ;)

Im currently playing

Golden Sun (GBA)
Sega Genesis Collection:phantasy Star 4 (PSP)
Suikoden Tactics (PS2)
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (PS2)

Resident Evil 4 Wii looks pretty damn good. I've had the GC version for about two years and haven't played it yet. Guess I should get rid of the GC one and pick up the Wii version.
