Excited for the awesome new releases this fall? What are you playing now?

Thanks, anyway. I'm saving money for the next month since I just bought a PS3.

As for gaming, I'm at the final boss in Prey and I'm 75% complete with Burnout Revenge.

There's nothing like playing two games at the same time and getting stuck in both :p

Gale in Rogue Galaxy is still killing me when I have to play as Deego... I think I'm just too impatient and haven't figured out what attack pattern he uses, if any. Still seems like I should be able to survive more than two or three bullets without healing.

And I ran out of cards for the first time in Yggdra Union today, so I managed to add an hour to my save file with zero progress. Luckily my exp remains, so hopefully the second playthrough will go a little smoother.

Found a Mega Man Powered Up finally at gamecrazy today. It makes me very happy. Except the femmy elecman.

I am reallly enjoying Mega Man Legends too. It still looks good, I love the cartoony style and the animations. Good stuff.

Got Forza 2 from Gamefly early today. I haven't gotten to play it a ton yet (a little over an hour) but it's seem awesome so far, and that's coming from someone who doesn't play racing games at all.

After 6 months of delays, I'm about to finnish Valkyrie Profile 2 and enjoying every minute of it. Hopefully this would keep me busy untill Pesona 3 (though its not a fall release)

Anyone played VP on PSP? How's the conversion? I'm unsure about opening it.

Depends on who you ask. I like it better than the PS1 version. The downside is the load times and the slowdown (which isn't too bad.) Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the loadtimes were eliminated if you loaded the game onto a memory stick. But the upside is that there's a bunch of new cinematics, new story elements that tie the game into the sequel, and there's slightly remixed music as well.

If I beat all my DS games and finish up all the 360 games I wanted too I might get a PSP by the end of the year. PS1 emulation FTW. Can't get a working Ps2 from Gamestop and having to keep exchanging them FTL.

I can't wait to play Bioshock considering I was a System Shock nut and a Deus Ex nut, so Bioshock will be amazing.

I am really getting excited for Mass Effect, but have been trying to ignore all articles on it. I dont want to know too much about it before it comes out. I honestly dont even know how it plays.

I am stoked to get my hands on Lair someday and I think it shows a ton of potential, but still want to play it first.

Dont care about Halo.

Dont believe super mario galaxy will come out this year.

Dont believe MGS 4 will come out this year.

I can't wait to play Ninja Gaiden Sigma and all those other games coming out.

NOW since reading this entire thread you fuckers have made me go out and buy some games I have been wanting to.

I just picked up MLB The Show for PS3, F1 Championship for PS3, Rogue Galaxy, FF XII (i hope this is good), and Odin Sphere. I am not a HUGE RPG fan but will play one that has good action and story so hopefully these games will suffice.

However, all of the original animated sequences have been turned into CG cutscenes, which look amazing. And loading the game onto the memory stick fixes all of the (slight) loading issues. Really awesome game, but I liked the 2nd better.

I'm actually enjoying playing lunar, portably. I hated the game back when it came out on Playstation, but it's perfectly designed for a portable. Easy battles, save anywhere, no loading..

whoknows- I could understand the rating somewhat.. if people aren't shooter fans or won't replay the game over and over, the appeal is somewhat limited.

Man Forza 2 is like the gift that keeps on giving. I've never been as interested in a racing game, particularly a sim.

This is the first one I could stand for more than 20 minutes that isn't a Mario Kart.

Trying to playthrough Symphony of the Night. I played TMNT Arcade earlier and should've gotten the Turtle Soup achievement (glitch). In the meantime, I'm trying to go for 100% in SPM.

I just finished up Dawn of Mana last night and I'm fairly satisfied with it overall. The gameplay actually gets to be more fun once you get the hang of the controls and get your character to level 3 in each stage. BUT, there were some INCREDIBLY frustrating parts due to crappy level design/unclear objectives. The story and cutscenes were fantastic though!

Now I'm trying to decide if I want to plow through Kingdom Hearts: Re: Chain of Memories in Japanese or start up my US copy of Odin Sphere. Hmm..
Well, I picked up Raiden III and after playing for a few hours I must say, the 58% it has at gamerankings is BS.
I'm thinking of picking up Raiden III next. I just finished beating Red Star and opening up all the cheats in the arena. I also have Odin Sphere waiting to be played. I'm in a pretty good 2-D revival phase right now.

I need a free game to go with Tomb Raider Legend for 360 and MG:pO for PSP from EB later today. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking about Splinter Cell: DA for the 360. How is that one? Ratchet & Clank for the PSP and Kornopia (sp?) for the Wii are on my Birthday list for next week so it'd be unwise for me to get either of those. Splinter Cell is a tad too close to a game in my backlog (Rainbow 6: Vegas) for me to be really pumped to get it, so I'm looking for suggestions. Around the $25 mark used at EB is possible.

Metal Gear Ac!d 2 is an awesome awesome game. Not sure how much it costs at gamestop to make it worth the free game, but its a very good game.

Pursuit Force is also fun...can get hard though.

Metal Gear Acid 2 is $8.99 used now at GS. I got one today. $10 new, but the new copies are likely opened anyway.

Daroga- Lunar Knights? Another Copy of Loco Roco you sell to me for a reduced price? ;)

Picked up Saint's Row as I've had an itch for a sandbox-esque game. Someone needs to clean out these guys' mouths with soap though! ;)

Looking forward to Tekken 6 in the arcades... right now I'm playing...

Super Street Fighter II TURBO via Capcom Classics Collection Volume 2 (PS2)
Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection (PS3)
Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles (PSP) :x
8.99 for Ac!d 2? How difficult is the game though? I never was one for card-based titles.
It's not all that difficult. It's a reasonable difficulty. FWIW, I think card-based games are stupid -- I hated stuff like Baten Kaitos. But I really enjoyed the Metal Gear Acid games. They're definitely slow paced and they're not for people who want to have a lot of fast action going on or anything, but they're really fun.

What the heck is the deal with the title of Tomb Raider: Legend? Why does Lara's name need to be glued to the front of it. It's throwing my OCD alphabetized game system into shambles! ;)

Hmmm, I may check out Ac!d then...

And how nerdy would it be to go to another EBgames, buy a street fighter alpha 3 max that has a box, and then return the one I have from the other EBgames without a box?

I would just go for Ac!d 2 if I were you.

When I played the first game I just couldn't get into it, but eventually I played Ac!d 2 and loved it.

Man today was a good day game-wise. Picked up:

Best Buy
Tomb Raider Anniversary

EB
Urban Reign
God Hand
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones
All from the B2G1F

Between this and then my friend getting a couple games yesterday from another EB's B2G1F sale, my friend and I are set for awhile now game-wise in the doldrums of the summer.

Saints Row is a lot of fun.. despite the gangster stuff. Insurance Missions FTW.

I've been trying SSF2T on and off, but man is that AI tough. The training videos help.

I'm anxiously awaiting my copy of Odin Sphere... should get it on Saturday! I'm really looking forward to GrimGrimoire and Persona 3! Especially P3, ign just put up some new gameplay videos...it looks amazing.

To Chacrana or io, or anyone else who has gotten past Chapter 7 in Rogue Galaxy - is there an order you should visit the planets once you have the choice? I'm trying to avoid getting in a situation like Magical Starsign where I went "out of order" and had my ass kicked in one planet, and then next was ridiculously easy.

And I need to start getting peoples' weapons upgraded, so order will probably help there too.

I did Juraika first, then I went to Vedan. I'm on Zerard now, but I haven't played past there. Haven't gotten a chance to play it today at all.

I started playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance for PS2 today, I like the variety of superheroes. Hopefully I can make it to EB tomorrow for their B2G1 and maybe GC for their 2 for $5 sale. Depending on what I find there I might buy Planet Puzzle League with my final GGC at BB.

Where did you order OS from?

I love how much harder Tomb Raider Anniversary is (Compared to Legend). Much less linear and the puzzles actually make you think this time.:applause:
And it blows my mind seeing St. Francis Folly with such good graphics. Was my favorite level of the original, and still is an awesome level.

 just watched the videos, I can't wait for this game.

are there any disadvantages to running the PSP in 333 mhz mode?

I did Zerard first and then found out afterwards that it was the longest and most difficult one. However, I was able to handle it just fine (the other 2 parts just seemed very easy afterwards). But if you want to avoid any potential issues do Juraika, then Vedan, then Zerard. I don't remember much in the way of equipment from there - just the usual scattered chests with various revelation flow items and maybe a weapon or two, but nothing spectacular.

Note that the bosses you fight in all three are pretty equivalent (though Zerard's is probably a bit tougher). It is the long slog through endless corridors and stairways in Zerard that will wear you down, with the occasional tough random battle thrown in. It was by far my least favorite part of the game . Good news, though - it gets much better again after that!
are there any disadvantages to running the PSP in 333 mhz mode?
You're going to get a little less out of the battery, but I did and it's smoothed out every game I own. I highly recommend it.

Nothing (yet) runs "too fast" like when you load a game from 1987 on your quad core super rig PC.

Ok, I said I'd reveal my awesome gettings for yesterday, but I didn't, so I will now.

Same here, I already have Odin Sphere but I put a reserve on GrimGrimoire at EB and a reserve on Persona 3 on Amazon. I also recently picked up God Hand and just finished Red Star.

Damn, is that a sealed Castlevania IV I see up there...

Is there something vastly different about Sonic Gems from Japan vs. the US?

Wait... did it even hit the PS2 over here?
