But yea thats insane the most expensive mag I've ever seen. I think here in the states the most expensive magazine I've seen is $60 a year.[/quote]
My wife is always bugging me to get her a subscription to People, which runs well over $100 a year, although it comes out weekly. Most weekly or bi-weekly magazines cost around 50 cents an issue when you subscibe (like Rolling Stone), so I find it hard to justify paying that much for a horrible magazine like People.
Of course, the fact that my wife actually likes People magazine one of the major things that's wrong with our relationship...she has bad taste. She also watched reality TV. Pity me.
If my wife liked well-written, entertaining magazines, I wouldn't have a problem paying $2 an issue, even if most of our subscriptions are free. We currently subscribe to around 25 magazines, and I think the one that costs the most is probably Wizard, which is around $2 an issue. I also order a lot of subscriptions off Ebay, where you can get a subscription for $5 and then they give you 3 bonus magazines for free or whatever. The only problem with this is that every once in a while you get stiffed by an Ebay magazine subscription seller and there's no way to get your money back.
