Awesome deal for people into horror games if you haven't played it already. Makes me sad that it would hit the $9.99 mark though, which is especially odd since the first Fatal Frame always seemed to go for $30+ even today.
 
That's a shaq-fuing deal!! Too bad I didn't like the game, but I do give it merit for its aesthetics and its story; I just hated the gameplay. Me no likey FP.....
 
I'd imagine that they are no longer carrying the game since it does not show up at bestbuy.com so the individual stores might be clearancing them.
 
just called my local BB, and they said they don't sell it anymore, so yeah its on clearence.

EDIT: If anyone could help me out and pick me up a copy it'll be appreciated. I'd also be willing to trade it for damn near anything on my trade list.

I found a single copy when I stopped into a Best Buy on a whim while I was running an errand. Saw it, slight interest, so I picked it up...and wouldn't you know I was about to come on here and report it but I guess y'all beat me to it. For anyone in KC, this was the Olathe BB...they might have one or two at the one in Overland Park.

Also picked up X2: Wolverine's Revenge for 10 on PS2.
 
Crap, no Best Buys here. If anybody is able to get a few copies for $9.99, I'd gladly give you double that plus shipping for a copy. PM me if anyone scores or has one they want to get rid of. Thanks in advance.

argh. i hate nyc. ive never seen any games marked below msrp at the two best buys near me. those being the one on bay parkway and the one near the si mall. has anyone ever gotten deals at these? also can anyone else confirm that batman price? that would be freakin sweet.
 
Well, I went to the Best Buy closest to me (So. Setauket, Long Island) and they didn't have any copies. I came home and called a bunch of other Best Buys (Patchogue, Bay Shore, Commack, and Huntington Station) and they all said they didn't have any copies. One guy told checked his computer and told me that there is only store out here that has it and that is the Riverhead store for $49.99.

I had also stopped into Gamestop to check out if there were any decent-priced used games I wanted. They had a used copy of Fatal Frame 2 for $44.99. And I didn't see any other games that I wanted.

It was a crappy day for video games for me.

If anyone does manage to pick up several copies, I'm interested in one too...please?
 
sorry for the double post, but I do remember a store on the way back to my parents that has copies. Does anyone know what time BB stays open till on weekdays as I could try and get them on Thursday

those drops are not YMMV though. They are official drops in price. Batman and Rogue Ops were the last copies, but they were not YMMV as they did not have the stickers they usually do and they had official BB signs with the prices on them
 
metroidkiller9, I used to live in Bensonhurst (a few years ago, before moving out to Long Island). :)

Anyway, don't feel bad, the Best Buy in Manhattan and the ones out here VERY RARELY have any kind of good deal. They used to be my favorite store, but not anymore.
 
King of Prussia, PA store shows 2 in the system, but I couldn't find either. Either customers were walking around in the store with them in hand or the sales staff had squirreled them away for purchase as their shift ended. D'oh.
 
I simultaneously love & hate you guys. Just swung by my Best Buy and snagged their one & only copy. This is an insane deal, because afaik there wasn't a huge press run of this game made in the first place. It's already disappearing from EB & Gamestops around here.
 
Checked the Paramus Store...no good. They were sold out of that and about every other Ps2 game.

Did I miss out on some huge PS2 sale? Either that or the New Best Buy in Paramus NJ is one of the worst stocked best buys around.

I called. There are none in their computer systems for 202 or Kirkwood Hwy.
 
I had the guy at best buy in roseville check up and none anywhere near had any, went into ohio and wisconsin, i'll join the list of willing to pay double + shipping if anyone can.
 
Since this is on clearence at BB, any chance that it could be on clearence at other stores too? I haven't seen it at BB in a while, but have seen it at Walmart within the last week. It was marked $45.95 (which obviously doesn't mean anything).

Just went to the Best Buy in Cedar Park, and of course they didn't have any Fatal Frame 2, but they did have some other games that were cheap but not on clearance.

Haven - $4.99 (about 10 copies)
Drakan: The Ancient Gates - $9.99 (about 10 copies also)
Ico - $14.99 (several copies)
 
Just got back from Chicago North Ave Best Buy...

No Fatal Frame's left...no penny guides left...

Did pick up last copy of Arc the Lad PS2 for $9.99 and Unreal II XBox with GGC for 14.99.

So not a complete waste.
 
my best buy had like 8 copies left 2 days ago when i bought it for 49.99...im going to call today and ask if they still have them and if the price changed...if so...i should be able to get them to give me back the difference means it was within 7 days, right?....

by the way...anybody seen this Fatal Frames movie thats on bestbuy.com....im sure it has nothing to do with the game...but interesting none the less
 
Thanks, got the last copy of Fatal Frame 2 (PS2) and Batman: Sin-Tzu (Xbox). The shelf tag for FF2 still had $49.99 on it. Glad I knew better, thanks to CAG. Sin-Tzu finally hit a price point where it is worth a try.
 
trustcompany1013 - I believe it's a 30 day price match gurantee so hopefully you kept your receipt. If they price match it w/ 110% that means you got the game at about $6 :D

If there is some left do you think you could pick me up a copy. I would be willing to throw in some cash or a game too.
 
If you like horror games and you're not trying to get this game, you're a fool. Just thought I'd add that.
