Both great games.  I've never played the 3rd and would really like to.  Hope it goes on sale some time as well since both of these have been on sale on and off for months.

Well that doesn't matter. I see a lot of people on here who love to reply and only say "Oh well the other version is better" (the one not on sale or being discussed of course) and "That was cheaper 4 months ago from this other place" and then leave like a dog taking a shit in someones yard and wandering off.

 
Any major differences between these and the disc versions...? I'd always wanted to get PS2 copies, but never got around to it, and therefore never played them at this point, either.

Oh well the Xbox version is better. ;) Seriously though, this is a great deal for anybody with an interest in these games, or horror games in general. Even if it's the scrub version.

Also, anybody who likes Fatal Frame should check out Dread Out for the PC. It's still in development, but essentially it's an Indonesian version of FF, with a smartphone instead of a camera. There's a demo out for it too.

I wish this was brought over for North American Wii owners. It made it to Europe, cursed region locking. Region locking is still pointless and only hurts the consumer.

This, Day of Crisis, and Another Code R are the European Wii games that I still want to play on my North American Wii U someday.

 
I have Fatal Frame 1 and 2 for the original xbox. Should I get this for PSN? Is there any difference? I believe the 360 has backward compatibility for both games.

I have both and its a direct port. Its for people who dont have a backwards ps3 or ps2
 
if i already have these on discs, should i even bother with the digital versions?  these arent HD versions with trophies, are they?

 
These are definitely worth it. A true horror game, not like the ones being produced around now. Whenever me and my cousins get together every couple times a year, we play this (good 'ole PS2 of course).

If you have the Xbox versions don't bother as they're the only one's that I know of that have actual 5.1 sound for both games instead of fake 5.1 like the PS2 versions will have as well as the Wii remake of FF2 and 4(ironic isn't it?).  To me good sound on games like these is quite important.
