The stick is out now...

Exactly the same as the DOA4 stick(insides too).... Not my pic, if anyone asks.

This stick has actually been planned since around the time the DOA4 stick was released. I'm glad they didn't totally scrap it! lol...
Ohhh yeah. Looks like J&R has it (via amazon):

http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Xbox-360-Fighting-Stick/dp/B000V02P6Q/ref=sr_1_2/105-0508682-1894012?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1187422447&sr=1-2

I wonder if I should just buy this now or wait and see if Amazon sells it direct. I've done w/o a 360 stick this long, so I'd rather have free shipping/no tax.

 don't know why I thought of this but if more online DS games show up, it be super fucked up but fun to see Hori release an arcade stick for the DS >_<

than again you can play arcade stick with the PSP (an old vid MM had proves it).

also, I've been playing too much of the epic prequel to this... too fucking good (no joke):

I really like that 360 stick, nice simple design.
I'm a sucker for sticks now, and I NEED one to improve on DOA4 and especially for when VF5 comes around (and SF:HF).
Is there a headphone jack on it?
And oooh, that wireless?

It's not wireless and that's an input for the 360 headset.

At least assuming it's the same as the DOA4 stick with different graphics.

This hamsterz obsession is hilarious...that cover does indeed rule

question:

i know this has discussed before, but i totally forgot...

i'm interested in getting a fliptop or something. where's a good place to get it and swap magic? is it any better to use the slide card?

Eh, I think the slide card's a better option just because you don't have to replace the top of your PS2 with some gaudy lookin' POS. Gocybershop.ca is where I got my shit.

I got mine at www.thegiantstore.com a while back.

It seems though that they have stopped stocking both the slide card and the Fat PS2 Flip Tops. Weird.

Also got my fliptop via www.thegiantstore.com

Had a going away party last night. It was pretty fun. It was pretty depressing know that I'll be living 4 hours from anyone I know. Definately makes me feel super nostalgic. My life is going to be completely different and it's making me feel happy and sad and regretful all at the same time, among other things. Definately excited and nervous though.

I spilled beer on my DS by accident and now it doesn't work. I guess I'll pick up a new one when UMK3 comes out.

Played SF2 late last night once my party was dying out with everyone that still plays. It was great having a 6 man rotation like the good old days. Also I was pretty drunk so I was actually losing which was good (none of my friends play alot like I do).

that's nice, and it sucks... alongside the nulling of your DS... those things are salvageable with some unscrewing and blow drying... (saved my GBA SP back in the day).

PM me your new adress once you move. I'll maybe see if I can send you some stuff to make your home coming better.

Get ready for a restart on friends and life. Creepy and cool. Like we talked about a few months back... the other side of the fence is neat, but fucking scary. At least Tekken online will be welcoming you maybe.

Just watch, next week I'll hear you had a baby and shot a Caribbean dictator.

on on odd note: I recently got a YMCA membership through family (free = good) and started using the gym... I over did it and all this week my arms feel like carbonated square wheeled quad skates of clay... ie... I'm sore as hell and it fucking hurts to move my arms.

alright. ordered my stuff off of gocybershop. yay...

wanted a fliptop though... the whole slide card seemed like a pretty annoying process to go through if i wanted to play a game.

DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) is natural if you haven't worked out for a while. after the first week or so it gets reduced by a lot.

having sore arms isn't so bad though.

wait till you work out your legs. you know it sucks when you have to struggle just to sit on the toilet...

thanks for the info... It feels like someone went back in time and crippled me at birth >_<

once I'm unsore, I'm headed back. For my legs next time, I'll be a bit nicer to them and slowly work my way in.

oh, and more internet retardednessersers:

why even post something like that?

also is this even that great of skill in MvC2?

to me I feel it isn't that great compared to some MvC2 stuff i've seen.

that's what always gets me about working out...I can barely hold my own toothbrush for a week after. I haven't had the discipline to keep it up and work past that point though.

ahahahhahahah what a great combo video
that's what always gets me about working out...I can barely hold my own toothbrush for a week after. I haven't had the discipline to keep it up and work past that point though.
welll, the more you workout, the less soreness you get later...

i usually don't get sore unless i haven't been to the gym in a week, or i try out some new exercise that i'm not used to. it's pretty fun once you start busting your records and stuff and soreness goes away pretty fast after that terrible first weak, so yeah.

instead of "records" i almost said "high scores". wow. i'm such a gamer. =P

I need the VF5 stick now. I'm so glad its without those little images at the top. Looks much better without those.

anyone start classes yet?

I started class today and I am bored out of my mind. Hooray for the internet and the X-Men Vs. Street Fighter machine in the Student Center.

I start in 1 week. I really hope that my Student Center has X-Men vs. Street Fighter :).

Damn, that brings back memories. We had an X-Men vs. Street Fighter machine and an Aliens vs. Predator Capcom machine in the VA Tech Student center. Also my favorite Pinball game of all time "World Cup 94".

I got about roughly over a week... I have so much crap I have to get done though before it all starts like prepping an interactive art piece before my life gets taken over by school.... then again, I'm not moving so it all evens out.

Damn, maybe I should go to Tech instead of Radford...

Anyhow, I start on Wednesday. Final semester of community college before returning to the big-time.

you guys have already started school? Do you finish in Novemeber? :)

I don't start until 9/4. the downside is that finals go up until 12/22. I don't think I have a late final this semester, but I did two semesters ago. It sucked ass.

Haven't been playing any fighters lately...just Persona 3 and I'm about to pick up Bioshock. Between Bioshock, Persona, Tekken DR Online, Space Giraffe, and maybe Puzzle Fighter, it's going to be a VERY tough decision of which console to bring home this weekend when I visit my folks :\

I'll probably bring the PS3 though-- so I can play some Tekken on a good connection (and because I want to play Bioshock entirely in HD on my TV!!!)

I notice that Guilty Gear XX Accent Core is going to out on Sept. 11th. I haven't played a GG game since the GG XX. Has the game changed all that much in Accent Core other than the addition of ABBA and Order Sol?

There's a ton of gameplay tweaks that've been made, and there's new stages and stuff like that... but it's still pretty much the same game.

I'd say biggest thing is the change of voice actors.

hmmm...

Fatal Fury Special Achievements:

also, I got an e-mail today from some guy from France regarding my old Tekken 5 arcade name FAQ I made a long while back... all was normal and then he had to go on and add this... why???
P.S.

Anyway heres a list some Tekken characters that makes me horny & makes me drool. Haha

-Lee Chaolan ( Especially his movie/ending were he is only wearing a very itsy bitsy trunks. But still I cant believe that he's 48 years old. Ergh! Haha)
-Bryan Fury (He definitely looks hot at the @before battle screenshot. Haha)
-Steve Fox
-Hwoarang
-Jin Kazama
-King's Body. Haha
-Bruce Irvin ;p
why?????

 @ the last two posts. nice new sig Apokalipse. If I ever replace the kool aid man with another villain, it'll be her

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, T5DR online is going back to TBA status for release in North America.

Expect it sooner than later though, that is all I can say...
I didn't know Karnov was a Steelers fan.
BAAAAALLLLLOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!

ReRo, Apok and gunm's posts=

I guess it's a good thing to be waiting on T5DR Online now. Between starting classes, Bioshock and Blue Dragon (next week), I really don't think I'd play much.

http://sdtekken.com/2007/08/21/t5dr-online-when/
We originally put our money on both August 16th, then the following August 23rd as the forthcoming release date for T5DR ONLINE in the US… Sadly it is not coming out this week! But it is coming, SOON! Namco Bandai Games Inc. is working on some quality issues with the title for American gamers and while there is no concrete date, it is soon. How soon? “Within the next couple of weeks…” as told to us by Namco from their Online Gaming media event which happened earlier tonight. So there you have it folks! Release date for USA is to be announced. But be rest assured the wait is ALMOST over!
lolz -_-
I'd say biggest thing is the change of voice actors.
I'd say u aint played dat shyt!!

I said in the last thread, game changed A LOT.

u pretty much gotta relearn a lot of your stuff as well as learn to apply new shyt that the game offered, but it's real good tho

I could never get into GG too much, but then again I did go through every story scenario with each character in GGXX2 (roughly 70 scenarios I think).

One thing I want to bring up, though there's been so many threads before that I forget if it's been discussed, but what fighting game got you hooked on fighters... I mean where you mentally made a note that you really would like to play more fighters or get good at them.

Mine would be Tekken 3... Street Fighter Alpha 3 also helped a ton.

Also, everyone, wish a good luck to JimFoley tomorrow... he's moving and it's basically a huge change. Plus he's got a ton of crap to probably move.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, T5DR online is going back to TBA status for release in North America.

Expect it sooner than later though, that is all I can say...
Ouch, TBA? I wonder what they're fixing... :whistle2:#

Oh well, my PS3 is back to having no games to look forward to.

Good thing too, because Persona 3 and Bioshock sucks...life. :hot:
Game that got me started on fighting games = Street Fighter II: World Warrior
Same here. When that game first came out a local 7-11 had it. My cousin (who was in charge of babysitting me) would take me there every other day to play it.

He pretty much taught me everything I knew at the time and is the reason I got into fighting games in the first place. From that time (maybe 14-15 years ago?) I knew I wanted to get better at fighting games and play every single one out there.

Good luck on the move Jim!! Hopefully you'll get setup quick and join us all in T5DR Online.
