at work I had to prepare a report on a patient whose last name was "Howard"

so I went to the database to get more info, and I searched by last name.

I wanted to see if there was a Geese Howard in the database but there wasnt...

I'm real sad now :cry:

I haven't played any VF5 online lately. I'm still at my friend's house. We've been playing lots of PC games. I did get my Aoi up to 9th dan in quest mode. Now it should start being a challenge. I'm 109-0, with some close calls. I need to get online soon. That's where the real challenge lies.

Now that I bought Chac's remnants of a wireless 360 controller, I'll be building a new wireless stick with it, for PC and 360. I might just integrate it into my current stick, then wait to make a new one.

My KOF XI hasn't shipped yet, boo.
 
KOFXI's out. anyone else get it? Vanessa, Yuri, Eiji for me. There need to be more lipstick lesbo boxers in games.

play Contra 4.

seriously... after playing this game you're pretty much better at everything.

I aint lying... I played Contra then I played Street Fighter Alpha 2 and performed Akuma's demon crush.

shyt's only supposed to get 15 hits, I did it and I got 18 hits!!

the game isnt even programmed to have that move hit 18 times, but Contra makes u so good at games u can add those extra hits in!!

Contra aint no joke man...
 
Virtua Fighter 5 Ver. D has been announced, there are NO gameplay changes, and it seems that the big changes are for VF TV and arcade only.

Cool looking new items for customization though :)

Everyone has a new 'weapon'... lol.

I played Rock Band yesterday in two seperate 5 hour straight stints...

I want to make a sanwa modded guitar... yea that'd be fun.

Haha I haven't sang yet. I've only played by myself so far, looking forward to playing it later tonight with friends so we can get the full experience going.

I just played Rock Band for probably about 3-4 hours straight. I still kinda suck at the drums, that damn bass pedal trips me up all time.
 
I'm imagining playing RB for 3-4 hours straight. Ah wellz, next week I'm gonna have a whole lotta gaming goin' on.
 
I know I am very alone on this, but I've always had 0% interest in Rock band and Guitar Hero games, no matter how much I've played them ever since the first guitar hero. I have the same (less so) feeling towards them as I do sports games.

I'm just fucking odd if you don't think I make sense.

I'll take Seaman II any day over the above mentioned games >_<

Eat mad food and get bloated and play some Marvel 2. That's what my plans include, although I'm pretty sure I'll just end up playing Rock Band.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Jim has a great idea about playing Marvel all day but I think I'm gonna take my PS2 and a couple SF pads over to my wife's uncles house and see who wants to throw down on SF Alpha 2, Tekken 5, Guilty Gear X2, VF4, or CvS2. Giving old-school beatdowns to the kids in the family after stuffing myself with turkey makes me very happy. It makes it especially sweet since they're the typical foul mouthed Xbox Live 13 year olds.

I got my mom to sing Roxanne last night. She did pretty good actually. Got a 99% but it was on easy.

Anyways Happy Thanksgiving, it's also my birthday today and yesterday my folks bought me the Street Fighter vol.4 by Udon. I really dig the artwork. I'm hooked and it's going on my subscription list. Also I saw the old Street Fighter manga. Not the crappy American one by Malibu but the Japanese one:

I actually have a few of the old ones but when they were released in America they reverted to the traditional comic book style.

EDIT - I'm definatly top teir. I'd be a sub-boss guy, like Billy Kane, Vega, or Dr. Doom.

I'm thankful for getting KOF XI yesterday. Mine has a cheap ass case that feels thin and doesn't have a memory card holder. Oh well, it was $15. Does anyone know of a place that sells PS2 cases?
 
Got KOF XI a few days ago, and only have 2 challanges left (Mai's and the 20 hit combo one). But, I can't even get halfway through Mai's.:bomb: I almost threw my arcade stick at the TV today. I've tried all of the combos I can think of, and no matter what, I get to either King of B. Jenet and get my ass kicked. Anyone have any tips?
 
does KOF XI have a mission / challenge mode??

I wish Acent Core had one... I'm bored of this game now... or at least, I'm bored of playing it by myself.

I am gonna leave the game at my parents house so I cant play it... onnly gonna play at arcade now

Yeah, there's a challenge mode in KOF. I think there were exactly 40 challenges and it's stuff like "o dam, King's a bitch, dodge her Metal Strikes!" But it's cool cause that's how you unlock new characters.

For Mai I just sat back and spamed the CPU with the fanthrow and her dive from the air, they never seemed to block that for some reason. The 20 hit combo I think I used Ryo and comboed into one of his 15 Hit DMs, or maybe I comboed into his f,b,f,+P special. I kinda forgot.

JEKKI - Yes it's got a Mission Mode and it's actually fairly challenging and fun. It's an easier way to unlock the characters, artwork and endings without beating the game with everyone.

I just beat Mai's challenge, turns out if you fail a few times, the difficulty drops to almost-nonexistant. The other fighters just stand around and let you throw fans at them.:D
All that's left is Challenge 37, the 20 hit combo one. I've tried using Ryo and King, but I can't do anything after Quick Shifting (And you can't use Super Special Moves or Leader Moves). I've tried using their 13 hit moves, but I can't get my combo above 15.:bomb:

Yeah, Mai's challange was a pain, good to hear you beat it. Sorry I can't help you more with Challange 37, but I know I used Ryo and just improvised with a combo. Isn't their a technique where you can cancel out of a special move and perform another? Couldn't you just cancel out of the f,b,f,+p and do it again? I could be wrong, it's been a while since I played.

Played so much Rock Band over the last few days. What a goddamn game.

I rigged up a ghetto Mic stand using a folding chair, broom, blanket, scotch tape and the box a router came in so that I could sing and play guitar at the same time. It was awesome, I wish I had pics to share :(

Gonna be ridicilously tough to pick a GOTY this year. Gotta still play Mass Effect and SMG before making my call, but right now I think CoD4 edges out Rock Band by a little (mainly because of the never-gets-old aspect of the online multi-player).

Unfortunately, the fun part of Thanksgiving Break is over for me now. Now I do my school work and get ready to go back.

I ACTUALLY PLAYED THROUGH DEATH BY DEGREES, AND I'M STILL TRAUMATIZED :cry:


The game is still a quick cash-out for Namco though. Sucks, given that it had so much potential.
