Fighting Game Thread 7 is bringin' da heat in Super Street Fighter 4, watch yourself!

Don't you dare tease me Capcom make this shit happen!
I really do hope Ono gets Darkstalkers made in SFIV engine. I sucked at it but I spent more than enough hours with it than I should have with Dstalkers 3. I think the three games that got most play in my home on my PS1 were Tekken 3, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Tekken 3... the scratches on those discs are crazy >_<

so Blaz Blue hitting PC? be happy all you internet kids

EDIT: happy to see J. Talbain getting votes.

You should slip them an SNK pill. They'll be bankrupt in no time.

i literally fell asleep playing super last night.

i don't even remember what combos i was doing in challenge mode but i think i got to dudley's last one before i decided to call it quits. with the game on. and my eyes closed.
Hope they can get the netcode right to.
My purchase of KoFXIII depends solely on this. A fighter's no fun if I can't play against friends.
Nice! KoFXIII is looking great. The fact alone that the camera is pulled back makes a huge difference.
I'm very glad they did this. I have no idea why they made them so big in KOFXII. It's like SNK was so proud of the sprites they decided to rape your eyes with them. But scaling them down makes the game look much better, and if it plays as good as it looks I'll have to apologize to Paco for all the trash talk I was doing.

That Zangief Transformer is cool. Is it an actual figure or something shelf made?

Surprised this hasn't been posted yet. Here are some balance updates for SSF4 that are going to be included in the Championship Mode patch.

* Fei Long's infinite combo loop against Juri will be removed.
* Unblockable Ultras will be fixed. This is where you throw a fireball and the Ultra flash made it so your opponent could not block.
* Guy will no longer be able to be thrown while he's crouching and in hit stun animation. A bug made it possible to combo throw moves while he was in this state.
* Ibuki's invincibility window on wake up -- under certain circumstances -- was too long, this will be fixed.
* The 2nd hit of Ibuki's Spinning Kicks missing Chun-Li will be fixed.
* Counter hit damage on M. Bison's (Dictator) Ultra 2 was too low.
* Sagat's Angry Charge was not working properly in some instances (EX-Tiger Uppercut doesn't get damage upgrade in some cases).

The patch is expected to release June 15th.

Seems Capcom does give a damn, nice. Link for that specific list? I've seen many different versions of the descriptions.
KOF XIII looking kinda sexy. Hope it's good.

I finally reached level B with my Rose today. Time to work on my Vega now.
Looks nice. I'm like everyone else. I hope the online is good this time around. Although to be honest I still enjoyed the last one. A crappy king of fighters is better than no king of fighters at all.

Also a newer version of Tekken 6? If that is true this is happening to much.

I can see the harm in this easily for now, but if Tekken 6+ does what SSFIV did for for vanilla SFIV then it might not be bad.

I honestly hope they dont add characters to T6 though and just load it with goodness.

Speaking of Tekken 6+... where's that free DLC we were promised for Tekken 6? I hope that update for co-op campaign wasn't it.

That's the assumption for now.

Yeah to me Super was a really good updated version of the game. I'm sure they could do the same with Tekken 6. I'm still going to get Blazblue CS,but it doesn't seem like as good of a deal compared to Super.

Thats because it is not. If there is a 10 buck back for it from amazon, ill get CS, if not, ill wait.
Yeah I don't like Capcom's updates of their games since it's usually: Same game + 10 more characters + rebalancing + maybe some other stuff + on-disc paid DLC
Fixed the company name typo and corrected and expanded on factual inaccuracies in the post.
Just start doing it like EA. Street Fighter 2010. . .oh wait, nevermind.
I welcome more characters personally, I love more character variety.

But to be perfectly honest, there wasn't enough for me to consider upgrading to SSFIV at launch/$40. Online is a non-factor for me and what they did add that could possibly matter to me--the offline gamer--was a remake of the bonus stages from SFII. I know Verses mode/online is the lifeblood of the genre, but it shouldn't be the only thing that's good in a genre-defining game like this. If you aren't up on your shit, you can't play online without getting your ass royally kicked. What do you do? You play the solo modes to get amusement out of the game until you're good enough to jump online. Problem is that all SSFIV offers offline is a rinky-dink Arcade mode--LESS than SFIV.

What I liked about BlazBlue:CT was it's rather satisfying offline offerings. Sure, you had the traditional Arcade & Training modes, but you also had the Score Attack mode and, the biggest part, the Story mode. Multiple endings that vary by performance? Thank. GOD! Something worth playing.

BB:CS adds both a Challenge mode and a "Legion" mode. In Legion mode you fight to capture places on a map and can add whoever you just beat to your team. Want to give Noel a rest to recoup some of her health bar? Play as one of the other fighters in your party instead. Modes like this are damned fun to play. I didn't take Soul Calibur III out of my PS2 for two weeks after I got it because of its mode that's like what Continuum Shift is going to have.

Fighting games are like sex--better with others, but still fun by yourself when done right.
