Fighting Game Thread 9 - Wu-Tang Edition
conflicting opinions
It'd be nice to have a portable BB... if it were CS; BBCT sucked, don't bother with it.
I played it for roughly 3 days from gamefly and I have to say I'm very impressed with it.

It's basically a really damn close port to the home version with nothing missing that I can think of other than downscaled graphics which still look nice. I'd say go for it.
Agreed.

I had no problem pulling off any of the moves either on the PSP's pad. It's a solid purchase at $20 if you are looking for a fighter on the go, I really can't think of anything it does wrong.
What makes CT so much worse?
Speaking of Anime fuck, I ordered DBZ: Shin Budokai 2: Another Road for PSP with the GoHastings coupon. Figured I'll wait and get BlazBlue on consoles when I have time to commit.

distfx sucks at that game, the whole cast is filler to him.

If you enjoy the game then play it. It's a lot of fun, lots of creative stuff in there, and the only thing broken about it is the fact that you'll most likely be rolling single player.

if u play CPU all day, the game is broken in the player's favor since you're the one with the brain.

Some guy on reddit posted this, trying to identify this game. I got no clue.

It's a fighter game for the Playstation 1. I used to love playing it with my cousins as a kid. All I remember is:
The stage is inside this huge cubical shape.
The characters are free to roam anywhere in the cube (fly around and strafing)
One of the characters was a card specialist. Almost all of his/her attacks are by throwing cards.
Dang.

How much is CS improved?
A lot
distfx sucks at that game, the whole cast is filler to him.
lulz, u so dum jekki
Nice ninja edit.
I felt I'd give a more appropriate response to this stimulating conversation.

i've had enough of your "competitive gamer" attitude
lol... Rolento when you gonna link me to the SFxTekken video? you know i am hella lazy.
I saw it. It was the same damn video reveal from the first time.

*kisses boo boo* Better, love?

Same characters, fight went differently though.

So I figured I'd ask here, since Google is turning up nothing; I picked up Tekken 6 today, and I've been trying to run through Arcade mode, but I keep getting paired up with people online, despite it being an "offline mode." I searched all the options in the game and found nothing that would seem like I could turn off this fight request feature, and the manual doesn't say anything helpful about this.

Please, please tell me Namco wasn't stupid enough to not include an option to turn this off, besides disconnecting from XBL.
I like how some of you guys talk about the small, minute things in the video. And in the end, you're just going to mash.
Haters gonna hate, mashers gonna mash
ReRo and uraizen are trash
We'll run a train on you~

That's funny, you spelled Beef as uraizen.

You aren't actually playing against people online... you are playing against "Ghost" characters that are programmed into the game. These characters have custom items and slightly different artificial intelligence, but they are basically the same as any other computer character.

Unplug your ethernet or DC from your wireless and you'll notice that you are still fighting them.

There is a whole mode dedicated to fighting these characters called Ghost Battle. It is slightly more entertaining than running through Arcade Mode over and over again because like I said, they do have modified AI which makes the fights a bit more interesting.

There is an achievement for beating 30 of them.

Did you guys hear that ClayFighter is coming to DSIWare? Sumo Santa was in one of the screens. Don't know him? Then watch this--the second claytality is the most epic finisher in any fighting game EVER!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYB7nAB5NoU
No, you're not mistaken. He did, in fact, shove his opponent up his ass and shitted him out in pieces. fuckING. EPIC.:rofl::rofl:
This is worthy of being a sig.. in fact.
Sadly, he's right, me and him go over the replays of games with we've had with FGTs every once in a while.
Nobody wants Clayfighter.
I know, but when else would I have an excuse to post that Sumo Santa video? Christmas?:lol::lol:

I forgot how shitty Clayfighter looked.

Any ideas who the two new characters in SSFIV are?

No clue, but I'm willing to bet at least one will be a stereotype.
I mash. No reason to deny the truth.
At least there's a simple solution, just break the habit and stop.

I don't have the habbit in Tekken. 2d fighters on the other hand, yes. Blaz Blue is probably my worst case.
