I hate KOF 94. I remember when Rebout came out, I was tempted to grab that game since I had no control over my spending habits back then, so I NeoRageX'ed the original up and it felt horribly dated. HORRIBLY.
I agree with Chac. KOF '94 isn't good anymore. It's outclassed now in every way by later versions. I liked it when it came out, but now it's not worth playing unless you're curious about the series' origins.
Yeah its freaking impossible, but its got a good nostalgia factor for me at least. I liked the first set of voice acting for Kyo too, though none of them have been bad.
If anyone hasn't been keeping up with GGPO developments...
They added D&D: SoM awhile ago, and they just added King of Fighters '98...
Seriously? I need to try that out. Last time I played KOF '98 online, it was over Kaillera, and I got destroyed.
Even though KOF 94' is very dated it's still better than the other SNK fighters up on the VC. SNK should just skip all the crap and give us the good stuff.
EDIT: Found this on the Magic Box. Not fighting related:
UNCONFIRMED: SNK Playmore's SNK Arcade Classics Volume 1 is also coming to Wii, besides the PS2 and PSP version. This compilation features a collection of non-fighting arcade classics from SNK.

Is there a list floating around of what is going to be on that collection?

I haven't seen one, but since it's all non-fighters I guess we can expect to see games like Magician Lord, Blue's Journey, Windjamers, and I pray to the gods Shock Troppers 1 & 2 make the list. Maybe even Twinkle Star Sprites.

That would be an instant buy for me. I've been lazy on getting the most recent TSS game on PS2 (Japan). The original TSS is even unlockable in that game.
Pulstar and Blazing Star were actually pretty decent games. I'd half expect to see them on the Neo Geo Collections slated for release in the US since I'd imagine SNK would want to showcase the best their system had to offer.
It supposedly about 5 episodes wrapped in a phoenix wright like package. Got a 7.4 or something on IGN so I'll pick it up once I have enough money (which wont be for weeks, screw you college!).
Naw, I like Star Wars, but it's waaaaay out of place here, even with Vader. It's just really, really cheesy because it completely ignores SC's setting in favor of including some utterly random characters.
I'm stoked on Vader and the possibility of Darth Maul. I don't think we'll see Luke or any of the human characters cause of the need to model them after the real-life actors.
If Yoda plays like Gon, then I'm not to interested in him.
I love Star Wars, but I gotta agree with Chac on this one. The characters just seem to out of place here.
Also random note for anyone wanting U.S copies of KOFXI or NGBC. In the bargain games section Best Buy usually keeps near the register aisles, I saw both games for $9.99 a piece.
I'm excited to see Star Wars in SC. I mean, it couldn't hurt. I've never been a huge SC fan so anything diffrent is good, and I like Star Wars as much as the next nerd.
Yeah, but Spawn actually fit. So did Link. Nobody liked Heihachi.
Agreed. Wasn't Dante around when SC2 came out? I wonder why Namco didn't snag him instead?

My guess is that it's because Spawn and Link are generally known outside of gaming (well, lotsa people do know who Link is), so that raises awareness for the game. Heihachi was probably included as a concession to those poor bastards who have only a PS2, but his inclusion was more insulting than not getting anything at all. Dante only has appeal to hardcore gamers, so he wouldn't be that worthwhile to incorporate into the game.
Though Dante was freakin' awesome in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne.
Most likely, Yoda will hop all over the screen with his attacks, or some weird shit. It's hard to get a good look, but it looks like from those screens, he might be as tall as everyone else's waist. Not the absolute worst height, but c'mon.
