Final Fantasy XIII-2 Pre-Order $47.99 and free shipping @ Newegg

my only issue with the ce is there is no vanilla game case like the arkham city ce.. newegg route w/ collectors guide is essentially buying the game @ msrp and getting the ce guide for free. i can live with that. thanks op

hmm, that does appear to be the case... man, its difficult deciding between regular and collectors edition. not enough incentive to go with the collectors for sure, yet the pretty packaging sways me to it. also, i have the CE game and CE guide on the same amazon order so cancelling the game will make me have to pay shipping as i no longer have prime... argh! decisions, decisions!

several questions:
I've never (pre)ordered a game from Newegg, so do they have release day delivery? I have Prime, and I'm a pretty impatient person to wait for delivery. I'm leaning on Newegg since it seems like the DLC is available for less than the difference online, unless I'm wrong?
Also, has anyone heard anything about if there are ps3/xbox differences? I don't want to start a fanboi war, want hard facts, like loading times, etc. The whole fitting the game onto one xbox disc has me slightly worried about the quality or it (I have a very larger 1080p TV, so when i played FF13 on both systems, I actually could see some difference, though very minor).

Lastly, the soundtrack is good. I downloaded it since I couldn't wait. It's made by multiple artists this time, so there is large variety. However, as others have said, you'll probably pop it in once and never use the discs again.

when i preordered uncharted 3, i got it on release day and i always go with the free shipping, so i think they do release date delivery by default. in any case newegg always has super fast shipping for me. i live in las vegas and newegg has a distribution center in california so anything i order ships from there and takes 2 days to arrive which is usually what i waited for when i had amazon prime. so i guess depends where u live as well.

as far as differences... i cant say ive seen any detailed comparisons. all ive seen is this:

not really detailed (720p as far as i can tell from the image dimensions) but the 2nd set of comparisons (images with a lot of gray) makes it seem like the xbox ver has pretty heavily compressed cinematics since u can see quite a lot of jpeg artifacts. same thing with the 4th set. all the other comparisons seem pretty much the same. so id assume its pretty much the same as with ff13: the cinematics are compressed on xbox to fit on the one disc.
