Flash Gordon Returns!!! Hell Yea!

Good luck, the DVD is OOP and hella expensive.

I'm hoping green lighting this show means the 1980's movie gets a reprint.

Sci Fi = fail, though.

You can't be serious. That movie was beyond horrible. I'd much rather watch the original black and white television show on DVD. I watched those as a kid many times over on a late night UHF channel.

Man, do kids today even know what VHF and UHF band channels were?

I love the guy who plays the king of the hawkman. You know, he';s a famous english actor. "I played Hnery the Fifth! I was Agustus Ceasar. And they put me in wings?!?!?"

I have it on VHS and tried to convert it to DVD but there is macrovision copy protection on it. The movie was shown on a movie cable channel so I DVred it and put it on DVD. That's the only way I could get it on disc. All I know is that the rights of the movei are owned by a foreign company and have not allowed an American company to reproduce it on dvd after its initial release. Here's hoping there will be a special edition released in the future, maybe a DVD and soundtrack together.

I remember watching the 80s Flash Gordon on either Showtime or Starz HD a few years ago. I can't remember. The quality was shit tho. Grainy, dusty, and muddy looking. Hopefully one day they'll at least do a remaster that is semi decent looking... then again that will be the same day George Lucas will actually let "Howard The Duck" get released on DVD too.
Roufuss you rock! This video needs to be on a SE release
Its already on the Queen best of volume 1 DVD set.

(In 5.1 sound no less too)

It's actually, believe it or not, available on iTunes. $9.99, I think. Not that any of you actually pay for your downloadable music, I'm sure.

Oh, Brian Blessed ain't too proud.

I had a friend who was obsessed with this movie and we all ended up watching it. He was also convinced that the ending was great - because Flash jumps, pumps his fist, and says "Yes!"

"Flash, Flash, I love you, but we only have fourteen hours to save the Earth!"

Possibly the best line spoken in the history of film

And even Brian couldn't save this movie. Flash Gordon was an atrocity. Along with Captain America, The Punisher and most every other super hero movie hollywood has produced.

Apparently there is a horrendous Fantastic Four movie out there (not the Alba one) that was made just so a company didn't have to give up the rights. I'd pay money to see a copy.
