I am a big Gears fan and looking for the right place to buy my limited edition GOW3 copy.

I see that with FS & BB you receive an additional character Mechanical Baird. Anyone knows if it's only for pre-orders? Is it only for the regular game (not the special editions?)

Just a heads up, Toys R Us at Weston and 7 in Woodbridge is refusing to honour this on anything but Nintendo Selects Wii games, despite the fact that their own website clearly states it's ALL $19.99 titles across ALL platforms.

Thanks, was planning to head there tomorrow. I wanted to pick up Scooby First Frights and something else (Sluggers or Soccer) if NHL Slapshot wasn't $19.99 there like it is at FS and BB.
Very Typical Woodbridge made-up policies though :roll:. The flyer even shows Mario Super Sluggers, a Nintendo Selects game, as one of the titles that qualifies. WTF?

They'll honour it on Super Sluggers. It's anything $19.99 that IS NOT a Nintendo Selects title that they won't do it on.

Was going to pick up Monster Hunter Tri. :cry:
 
I went in to Best Buy when they opened today, to try to price match Gears 3 Epic down with a Walmart flyer.

They said they wouldn't price match them because Walmart is only getting 5 each of the epic and legendary editions, so they're door-crashers. That was the official word from Best Buy.

Whether you can get a Best Buy or an associate who doesn't have that word handed down to them yet, or whether Walmart actually does have 5 epic editions priced at $59.99... that's YMMV. I don't care enough about the game to drive out of my way to test another BB location. Good luck! :)
 
Hurray, I was able to find that Minccino plush I was after! I also picked up the Pokemon Legends boxset for the hell of it, even though I already own those 4 movies individually anyway.

1 copy of Gears between 2 SDMs. That and 7 boxes of 1.99 triscuits got me points worth at least $45. good deal, hope it works like that for some of the upcoming ones. they have a limited amount of xbox hardware now.
