For Sale: Classic+new games/guides/accessories/collectibles

Shipping on a CD case is like $1.50. This isn't ebay where most people sell a guides or PS2 games for $10 and putting $5.00 as a general shipping/handling/packaging/paypal charge, but shipping only actually costs $1.06 in a padded envelope.

Ehhh...I'll keep you in mind when I have some more cash. Then we can spread the shipping cost around. I'd love to get my hands on Grandia 2, Blood Omen, Mischief Makers, and FF: Tactics Advance at those prices.

Sounds cool...but the shipping...Could you PM me how much you would charge for shipping?

Thanks

I'm not understanding what a lot of peoples' problems are with shipping. Shipping is cheap right now. Unless you're buying like 20 games at once or something, in which case you're actually going to be SAVING on shipping. I charge the exact amounts for shipping if you pay afterwards, and I charge pretty close to what it costs if you pay before I ship.

Lots of the time on eBay, you'll have people charging $8 shipping for a single strategy guide in a padded envelope, or $10 for a set of two PS2 games wrapped in a paper grocery bag.

If I did go ahead and add shipping prices for all of this stuff, things would be even MORE complicated. Instead of taking a set of items, weighing them, and estimating shipping, I'd have to take the given price, subtract the estimated shipping from the price, weigh the items altogether, and THEN estimate the shipping using the base prices for all the stuff.

I just don't understand this "...but the shipping..." business I keep hearing, when half the time we're talking less than $2. I'm not going to eat $1-2 on a $5 sale, and I'm not going to eat $15 on a $150 sale. I probably wouldn't care if I were selling like 10 games total - I could afford to sell em for $5-10 a pop and include the $10-20 TOTAL shipping (not combined) - but I'm going to the post office and dropping down $40-60 in total shipping costs and expecting about $100 in checks to be coming through sometime within the next week or so. Shipping is making for a rather big expense on my part. For that reason, I can't include the $1-2 it takes to ship on every $5-10 game I sell. Labelling them as $6-12 games would only cause confusion for orders with more than one item, and it would take more time to complete the order, and for me to update all the prices by weighing the stuff and calculating the cost.

Its just a different concept than people are used to - usually its included in the price or at a flat rate - although I'll admit, yours is the most fair and logical way to do it.

It's not that big a problem, really, here. It's more of an annoyance than anything. I must get a good 5 PMs a day with someone saying "but the shipping". Like 3/4 of the people never even reply when I explain it to them. At least half the PMs I get are from people who say "I want X, Y, Z, and I think A....but the shipping....".

Like I said, shipping is generally cheap. There are a few exceptions; one example was the Diablo 2 gift set I was selling. Shipping for that and Lord of Destruction was estimated at $8 (and will probably be about $1 or so more than that) because it was heavy and bulky It had 3 strategy guides in two full-sized PC game boxes. I sold the games for $15; if the price of shipping were included, I would have LOST more than half the money I originally sold it for.

If the shipping is a concern for you, then it's an even BIGGER concern for me. Paying $15 shipping on an order of like 10 items isn't that excessive. It's a lot to pay, maybe, in terms of spending the money, but (a) You've spent more on the order itself, and (b) It's cheaper than paying to have it all shipped seperately. Or shipped from someone on eBay. That doesn't translate to "better you than me", though; I'm selling a whole bunch of stuff to a bunch of other people. If 5 people each paid $2 apiece for their items to be shipped, that's not a lot for them. However, if *I* paid $2 shipping for each of those 5 people, I've just lost $10. $10 out of my own pocket, and I haven't even been paid yet. And $10 LESS the amount I would actually be getting once I do get paid.

Me charging shipping is totally fair, and shouldn't really be a big deal.

I agree - and your prices are very fair so its not like icharging the actual shipping cost would ruin the deal.

Added a couple more things, prices adjusted. I made a few notes next to some items to denote their condition, as well as added some deals for buying guides with the games, and some games and peripherals with the systems.

Updated again with even more games. I'm clearing out some boxes finding some other games still, and deciding whether or not to list some others.

Well, here it all is. I'm pretty sure that the only games and things that are now NOT listed in the original post are the ones that I am still playing right now, and the systems that they are on. Some of those are even up here, though.

Sold a few games.
Also, the AMD Athlon I had listed wasn't an 1800+, it was a 2400+, so I updated that. Only asking $5 more for it.

I re-added my E-Mail address because my PM inbox is filling up extremely fast. If your PMs aren't getting through, E-Mail me at [email protected].

I encourage everyone to PLEASE read the first part of my original post; I'm getting a lot of people asking for free shipping, and I'm not going to do that.

I've also added a couple of guides that I found under some other stuff.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Original version) - $13
Devil May Cry - $10 (Original)

Wanna PM me the total for these? If the price total is good I'll buy them :D

List updated. Sold a bunch of PC games and some others.

I keep saying I've listed everything, but I keep finding more, so I should quit saying that till I have, in fact, found everything. That means I've just added a few other things, including my Sega Saturn, CDx, and games for it, as well as various PS1/PS2 accessories/controllers.

Lumines, and a couple of other things, have been sold. My collection has been updated to reflect all of the recent sales.

Yes, it is, but it is on hold for someone at the moment (hence, it is green).

List updated, some stuff sold, a couple things taken off hold.

It's listed under Systems.

Sega CDx - $85 (Ultra-compact Genesis+Sega CD system)

Two people have asked about it but I have heard back from neither, so it's not REALLY on hold...but if I hear back from them today or anything, it will be reserved for them.

List updated.
