Turn 10 released an update to Forza 3 which includes all of the DLC and some new Top Gear stuff in it. This was a soft release last month, which means that its only being stocked when a store sells out of regular Forza 3. The end result of this is that everyone wants the new one, so the old one isn't selling, and so the new one isn't landing in stores anywhere.

Amazon, however, got the stuff together and has decided to sell the new Forza 3 Ultimate Collection independently, while other stores still don't even know about it! This has been very, very hard to find, so I'm glad that Amazon finally has it!

I don't have it yet (coming friday) but this version is supposed to include ALL DLC (cars and tracks) that has been released so far, plus the Stig's Garage Pack (new DLC) and a few cars that will not be available as DLC and are exclusive to this version.

It looks like the Stig's Garage pack and Top Gear videos are DLC Codes, while the other DLC Packs are on the disc, including the exclusive new cars and tracks for the UC only.

I checked Target during their B2G1 sale and they didn't have it in stores though it was listed online.

I got mine in the mail today! It comes with 3 DLC codes for the Stig's Garage Pack, the Top Gear video, and the TopGear/Forza Theme. It looks like everything else is on the second disc, labeled "content install disc."

It *is* your DLC pack, just with a $10 game included too. Point here is that you could sell your existing copy or trade it in and then buy this version. Probably pretty close to $20 then.

i didn't think they were going to include the le content since it cost twice as much as any other forza dlc and would piss off the original le purchasers even more since it is not exclusive.

glad it's not a different game under xbox live like sf4 vanilla and ssf4

perhaps turn 10 should have made a dlc disc for say $20 and a ultimate edition for $40. then original forza owners could upgrade and newcomers can get game and dlc bundle for cheap without pissing off the entire original forza fanbase.
 
Wow I can't believe this is $30. The way it was marketed it seemed like they were going to charge $60 for it, even though it was a PH, because it was an ultimate edition with all of the DLC.

I'm definately one of those early adopters that got hit in the nuts with this one. My local Gamestop had one extra LE copy on launch and I had extra credit so I got it, knowing there would be a PH version in 1-1.5 years, but thought the LE stuff would stay limited. Also bought the first few DLC's when MS put them on sale this summer.

Oh well I'm getting good use out of the 2 GB USB stick (my save file backup/portable gamertag when traveling) and the keychain.

Thought I would post this here. I picked this up the other day finally and decided to try and sell the Stigs garage pack (3 cars). Well I was able to sell it for $20. That really brings the price of the game down

I would like to know the answer too but for someone who can afford 3 360s, 3 LCDs, 3 copies of Forza 3 orginal, certainly this person can afford 3 copies of Forza 3 Platinum. You know, logistically speaking. ;)

Awesome. I picked it up the other day and was wondering what I could sell my Stig pack for. I would glady sell it for $15 and get the game 1/2 off but if I can get $20 thats promising. Thanks for the info.

To let you know, I sold only the 3 cars for that price. I kept the premium theme and video for myself.

I know right! I had actually priced it at $15 when I first put it up, then decided to try and get $20 for it. I woke up the next morning to find it had sold. Funny thing is this will probably be on the marketplace for 400 points soon enough.
 
Way to go microsoft you put up the Porsche 550 spyder as the free "sampler" car, and for once it is the only car in the pack that I actually care about! I was really mad when you cut it out from Forza 3 (The only forza I played previously was Forza 1 which had the spyder) and now amazingly I can drive it in Forza 3!

I got this game from amazon this week. I skipped it first time around, so I am loving it, but hopefully someone here can clarify what is in this edition. Where are all the dlc packs that are supposed to be included? I installed the 2nd disc, but I don't have all the car packs that were advertised. Do they unlock further in my career? When I go to the market place it has all the car packs listed as 400 points for me to buy. But I thought I got all these packs in the ultimate edition. But again, none of these cars are in my garage. I am confused. Where are my car packs!! Thanks
