Saw tomorrow's ad for Fred Meyer - selected games 50% off.

The pictured games were all PS3:
Fallout 3 GOTY: $14.99
Metal Gear Solid 4: $14.99
COD:WaW: $19.99
COD4 GOTY: $19.99

Seems like a good deal on Fallout 3 and a couple of bucks cheaper than I've ever seen on MGS4.

I was able to get the last copy at the Washington Square BB a couple of days ago. I thought I was out of luck when it wasn't on the shelf but they had one copy in the locked case. Of course the store locator said they had none, but it does that when they have less than 3 I think.

Then it was very dicey at customer service. I'm surprised so many people are getting the PM's no problem. The "Game of the Year" text on the FM ad is very hard to see, plus the case looks different than the actual one (even with the slip cover removed - they took it off to check). Then they said it only says "Playstation" games and not PS3 so it probably didn't apply. When I finally convinced them it was only a PS3 and Xbox 360 game, then they went on to the next ting: the game wasn't "regular price $29.99" like it says in the ad. Fortunately they didn't seem to know about the regular vs GotY so that didn't occur to them. They just thought FM had a much cheaper price to start with ($29.99) and were balking at the PM because of that. The manager also asked me why I didn't just get it at FM (since they called to check stock and it was in stock at the closest one). I said I wanted to use my RZ card .

In the end, they did it but it sure was a hassle. I was probably only successful because I happened to be working at a client site that day and was dressed fairly nicely and not in the shorts/T-Shirt getup I usually cavort around in. Good luck to anyone who still hasn't done it!

I was at the Federal Way, WA Fred Meyer yesterday - they still had quite a few of both kinds of Fallout 3 there. Also noticed that Prototype for 360/PS3 was $14.99 this week, and DJ Hero for all platforms is still $40.
