I am posting it here so everyone can use it without having to pay.

Pre-order any game EBgames.com

After you submit your order click on the "claim your $10 certificate" button.

Then enter your email address and you get a $10 certificate.

Cancel your pre-order.
(its easy to do online, just go to order status on the EB page)
Call reservation rewards at 1-888-688-5995
and cancel your account (its free for the 1st 30 days then they charge you)

rinse and repeat as needed.

you end up with as many free $10 certs as you want.

I'm gonna give this a try. I also noticed that it says one per household, how do you get around that the second time you try?

Wow, I joined the site and I still have not had a coupon mailed to me. Oh well, now to cancel it.

So I pre-ordered Half Life 2. Got my code, and canceled both the game and my rewards stuff. That's a $10 for me.

I did the same thing with Alias. Another $10.

Um, now I did it with Fable..and when I check my orders it says open. Why isn't it there an option to change it because I just placed the damn order??

Has this happened to anyone before?

Don't know... My orders always have the option to cancel for a while, and then switch to just 'open'; I'm not sure of the amount of time in between since I've never measured it. Anyway, you don't have to make a new order and cancel it everytime you want a coupon. Just copy the shortcut from the silver button link and use it each time - you'll get a unique code each time, provided you've cancelled your account from before.
 
Call them up and cancel. I pre-ordered Zelda 4-swords for the GC. I was going to order it anyway, so basically I got Rygar for free. :) If I see any deals on 4 swords prior to release I will cancel my order, but otherwise I will just get it from EB.

What do you mean exactly? That sounds specific and all, but I'm really not following it (lol) So could you explain to me what you mean??
 
I GUESS on the bright side.. is that I DO want Fable...so even if they do give me crap about canceling it.. at least it'll be ok :)

And I shouldn't be surprised.. I was looking at the past 3 orders...LMAO
I did one order + cancel at 5:20. Then at 5:40 and then at 5:49. 5:49 is Fable, the one I "can't" order.

When you click on the silver button on your EB confirmation page, it'll take you to the initial Reservation Rewards page where you type in your email address twice. Just copy the text in your address bar when you're on that page and paste it in a text document or something for later. You can then paste it back into your browser when you want another code.
 
yes. Go to FAQs..then "General" then "How do I cancel my account?"
There ya go. It gives ya a link to cancel and that is it.

ok heres what i ordered:

primal + goal storm = 1.04
rygar + backyardbaseball = 1.04
wario land + msg2 guide = 1.04

im just trying to use the ones i paid for, incase eb decides not to honor these anymore, i dont want to be out 18 bucks
 
I did it and was supposed to get the coupon code but never did. I got all the emails EXCEPT the one with the coupon code. Oh well. :(

the very first e-mail is the one with the coupon code. it's a longgggggggggg e-mail with a lot of info and near the middle (more towards the bottom) is the code. check it again b/c it's probably lost between all the small writing.

hi punqsux, i don't think you'll have a problem. i've already got 3 gamecube controllers (reg 11.99) from them and a few games and i've never had a problem. :p
 
If you are getting a 9.99 game.. will the coupon still work, or no?

Even though paying 99 cents for shipping and getting a game for 98 cents is not a bad deal AT ALL..I was just wondering.

I'm thinking about Dark Angel. I mean.. for 98 cents I can't be THAT ripped off lol. I just like them kind of games.. so yeah, 98 cents isn't a big deal.

You can do so by calling that number..
OR

Go to their website and go to "FAQs"....THEN... go to "General"...THEN .."How do i cancel my account?". It will have a link there and show you what to do.

But please do so you don't get charged $9 a month!
 
Even if y'all do cancel (or think you're cancelleling) that "rewards" program, don't be surprised if you do see charges from them on your credit card in another month or so. Many of those "rewards" companies are well known for telling people their accounts were cancelled yet still charging them weeks later. Some of you may have to file claims with your credit card companies.

I'm passing on this so-called deal because the aggravation isn't worth it.
 
You can easily streamline it using the History menu bar (activate it by clicking the history button on Internet Explorer) and go back to your purchase page info through the history have you cancelled membership via website.
 
Thanks everyone. I got Primal, and Compton's Encyclopedia for $0.40 shipped.

I only tacked on the encyclopedia because I needed filler. I tried just to get primal, and it said the order had to be over $10.

I'm kinda wary of doing it more than once. Each time you do, they get all your billing info right from EB Games. They are bound to notice that you've done their "free trial" ten times in one day. Now, I'm not sure what they really can do about it, but it still seems like a risk. Or I might just be a big wuss.

would it be possible to preorder a game with 10 off then continute putting codes on it until its free?

Well.. with these wonderful codes.. all Greatest Hits, and Platinum Hits are now $10!

Um.. all new games are $40 and can be shipped free.
I don't think Ninja Gaiden $40 shipped free is a bad deal at all.

I don't have Viewtiful Joe, and now I can get that for $20.
And Panzer Dragoon Orta for $10.. yay!!

yeah i got them cancelled. thanks again!!! :) though i'm just wondering do i also cancel my benefits or just keep them? I cancelled them three times..

oh and you dont have to pre order any other titles if you want to get another $10 CC. After I ordered Breath of Fire PS2 (14.99-10=5), I got a link for another $10 EB Games rebate from them again. So I ordered The Getaway and got another one. Just wanted to let everyone know!
 
This may be asking a lot, but would anyone mind getting me one of the coupons? I don't have my own credit card so I don't want my parents flipping out if something wacky happens.

I bought a used version of Clock Tower 3 and Primal. Came to twelve dollars and change - shipped free. :)

After I completed that order, I got the same link to sign up with Membership Awards and get a $10 coupon, so I signed up again with the same email address that I signed up/canceled with before and got another coupon.

If they try to charge my card later on for the $9, I'll dispute it and show the emails I received confirming cancelation of my account and that I owe nothing.
