Free $2 Amazon MP3 credit for Valentine's Day Amazon [amazon.com] is offering a $2 credit per account with code VDAYMP3S

They are offering it as a "give MP3s to a friend" type of promotion but it's easy to just apply the code to your account without gifting it, just go to an MP3 page and click "Redeem a gift card or promotion code & view balance".

Here are the instructions and TOCs from the promo page.

Happy Valentine's Day! Through February 14, send any MP3s to your friends and loved ones, and get $2 off with code VDAYMP3S. Then share the love with a note about this discount and the music you chose on Facebook or Twitter. Restrictions apply--see Instructions and the Terms and Conditions below.

Instructions:

1. Browse for music at Amazon MP3. All Amazon MP3 downloads play on virtually any MP3 device, including the iPod®.

2. Find the MP3 album or song you want to give. Click the "Give album or song as a gift" button (or the "Give song as a gift" button).

3. Follow the instructions to personalize your MP3 gift and click the "Proceed to Checkout" button. (If you do not currently have a credit card and billing address associated with your account, you will need to add them.)

4. On the checkout page, enter code VDAYMP3S in the box labeled "Have any gift cards, gift certificates, or promotional claim codes?" and click the "Apply" button. Your $2 credit will be added. If you receive an error, make sure you've entered the code correctly and that the promotion is still valid and has not expired.

5. After you've entered the code, click on the "Give song as a gift" button. On the Thank You page, if you like, you can click the Facebook or Twitter buttons to tell your friends about the MP3 you chose and pass the word along about this offer. See how.

Thanks OP! I was able to get two songs with a single code on my account. I went through the process to get the first song, then repeated it a second time minus inputting the code, and it applied the discount automatically.

Thanks for bringing attention to this. Seems like I end up with a free song or two every couple of months thanks to seeing CAG threads on these Amazon promotions.

Thanks for sharing, OP. I purchased the two tracks I was missing from the 30STM Greatest Hits album.

I love these threads! Thanks very much OP. I got two songs for my sister, and she got two for me. Slowly but surely, I'm working my way to owning the Final Fantasy: Distant Worlds CD's.

thanks op!

If I'm not mistaken, you can just order whatever songs you want for yourselves and the code still works. It doesn't need to be gifted.
I wish I could add 2 99 cents songs at once... nonetheless... good stuff.
Why can't you? There should be no problem with that.

So what did everybody get with this? So far, I've spent the first dollar on "This Must Be The Place". It's such a funky song! :D
Thanks OP! Grabbed the Mass Effect 2 Overlord soundtrack :D
I'm about to do the same! Thanks OP!

Thanks OP. Altogether, I have gotten about $11 of free music from promotions like this. Bought Don't You by I Fight Dragons and Words I never Said by Lupe Fiasco.

Got a question, I used this code to get 2 songs. My friend wants in on this also, but lacks and cannot make an Amazon account. Can I use this code in order to get two songs for her as gifts? I didn't gift myself the songs, I straight out bought them, so I was figuring I might be able to use this code as a gift still.

Boo, they kicked out Laura! Boo!

Anyways, saw them live twice, they kicked ass, but that was their early awesome music.

Yay, worked for me. I'm normally the guy that doesn't pay for digital music and clings to CD's. But now days some albums aren't even released on physical media, and codes like this help me get the music for free. Thanks OP.
