I just got an email from Microsoft giving me free 400 points. Here is the text of the email:

Didn't get one either (yet). For those who have got them- how long have you had your xbox live account?

2 years. I am also in the rewards program but I don't think that has to do with anything

I've had my account for a little over a year. Also, I'm not sure if it matters, but I have a Gold membership, and I'm participating in the Xbox Live Rewards program.
 
Didn't get it. There's an option on xbox.com to "...receive insider information including a newsletter on games and other promotional offers." Do you have to check this box before getting free stuff like this?
 
This has to be some of the worst PR job done and all on microsoft's side, seriously. I have a 5+ year account with 2 years paid off in advance and I got nothing. I got a 2nd account (for when friends come over) paid off for 2 years and got nothing. Now, I have a 3rd account in which is Silver and I got the 400 points code..weird. You would think they'd give offers like these to the most loyal people but oh well.

Might be. My 2 accounts which are gold didn't receive anything in an email but my Silver account (which is in the rewards beta program) did receive the code.

I'm pretty sure that means their newsletter, which I do receive. But I didn't receive any MS points... :cry:
