Here is my simple guide to getting the MGO beta without ever having to enter a code.

Step 1: Sign up for a European PSN account. (Very simple)
Step 2: Download the MGO Beta from store.
Step 3: After installing, switch back to your U.S. account.
Step 4: Download patch 1.01
Step 5: Get your Konami/Game ID (Must be a U.S. account)

There you have it, no code required

Thanks, I pre-ordered through GS and I never received a call to come pick up the saga dvd. I'm getting this as back-up in case they screwed me over by giving them all out.

Question is will this be nerfed by Konami just like the Japanese exploit was?

To the second poster, you can order the DVD off bestbuy.com, or pre-order the game at your local Best Buy or Game Crazy and still get the DVD.

To be honest, I was on the fence about playing the Beta anyway so as to keep the gameplay a fresh experience when the full title launches, but I'm too impulsive to avoid this opportunity. I don't really feel like letting my credit card take another $5 hit as I pre-paid in full at Gamestop and expected better service (don't get anyone started).

Anyway, I let it finish while my PS3 folded last night, so whenever I turn on my TV I'll start playing with the patch and ID aspects and see if it works.

I live in Japan and was going to download the MGO Beta off my European account just to see what'd happen, but didn't because I figured there's no way it'd work. I'm currently downloading the Beta and will give this a try.

Can anyone confirm this one way or another? Well, I'll let everyone know what happens. Then again, the Beta has not even gone live yet, so this probably won't prove anything.
