It's now being mentioned in the previous Burnout Revenge thread, but I'm sure most people won't look in there for updates after first hearing the news.

I swung by BestBuy today and saw that they (maybe just my store in particular) no longer had Burnout Revenge demo discs, instead replaced by Battlefield 2: Modern Combat online-only demo discs for both PS2 and Xbox.

Seems EA's spending all their money pressing single-game demo discs now. I don't doubt the marketing maneuver will pay off.

UPDATE: Scorch reports that you might also be able to pick these up at EB, GameStop, or other stores.

EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION:
Updated the post and title for better clarification that this demo is online-multiplayer ONLY. Meaning you must either have Xbox Live or the PS2 network adapter, as well as a broadband connection.

I just want to note that both demo discs are online-only. So if you don't have Live, you are out of luck. I have PS2 but I'll have to wait til tomorrow when I have reliable high speed again to try out the demo.

I've been wanting to play this badly. It's so popular that the damn demo is on the top 25 XBL list. I wish my BB had them. My BB doesn't have free ANYTHING. Maybe I'll check EB.

This DEMO is the most fun thing on Xbox live right now. I've been playing everyday with at least 2-3 coworkers for a minimum of 3 hours a day after work each morning for the past 2 weeks now. It never gets old and we've only got 1 map so far................... I cant wait till the full thing comes out and we get more maps and goodies.

The only bad thing about it is one of my friends has no internet so he brings his xbox 2 my house everyday and uses my account on my big screen in a recliner about 2 feet from the tv because he is half blind. I sit on the couch like 12 feet away from my lil 19" tv. LOL i'm so glad i have good vision. ;) So if you get TK'ed by my screen name early in the morning it's a 99% chance that it aint me. Because i'm on his account and he is on mine and he finds great join in killing his team after every couple rounds of playing straight.
^^^didn't you read the front it says ONLINE-ONLY Demo Disc....duh....well thanks I picked up one for me and my friend....
Yes i know they're online only, i picked mine up this past saturday.
Just thought it would be helpful for me to post that to make it perfectly clear that they're online only. :)

I hope EB or GameStop has them, or I'll have to drive a couple miles to the Best Buy here.

By the way, who's the girl in your sig Santurio?

My GS did NOT have them today.

My best buy still had the burnout demos and my local gamestop is greedy as fuck, they will only give me the demo if I pre-order the game.

Don't bother going to GameStop, they tried to tell me that I have to put $5.00 on a game to get the demo.

So, I went to Best Buy and got the game demo free. And wait... wait... the demo has on it "NOT FOR SALE." :bomb:

Yeah, Gamestop was trying to get me to preorder, which seems wrong since the demo clearly states "NOT FOR RESALE". Trying it to a purchase is pretty much the same thing.

I did find free copies at Best Buy though. I went in there every other day until they got it in a couple of days ago. I still have to try it out.

I found Battlefield for both XBOX & PS2....also picked up a Burnout demo for Ps2 (no XBOX)....but the demo is on Madden 2006, so I'm ok. I don't even havea PS2

No go for my Best Buy, they had the PS2 version but said they would have the Xbox one's either late night today or tomorrow.

EB and GameStop wouldn't give me the disc unless I preordered the game, sucks.

Leave the demo for the people who want it next time.

Awesome game . Just wondering how many players can the xbox version support??? Took me about an hour to get all the controls down. Possible socom killer, can't wait for the full version. Hit me up if you log on with the PS2. Tag --- TiKi
Where is the demo usually located? Looked around the video games section and didn't see any demos at all.
Look by the "pre-order" section. I've found demos at one store by the "cards" that you take to the cashier to pre-order a game. I've also had to ask one of the CS reps. Make sure you ask one that looks like they know what a video game is.

I was able to get the Xbox Battlefield 2 demo at my local BB. Had to ask a clerk about it. There was 2 left. It was in some display, not with the rest of the games.

Sorry, my brother and brother-in-law both have PS2's...it was for them. I'm not an ass like people who take 10 of them or all the coupons in store

I just got back from the Best Buy in Frisco, TX. I got the last PS2 demo but they still had about 5 Xbox demos. If anyone is interested. I know there are quite a few CAGs in this area.

Got an XBOX copy today at BestBuy. They had them in the XBOX section in alphabetical order where the game would appear when released.

That's where they were at at my local BB.

yah go anywhere but Best Buy since they actually wanted me to purchase a video game that cost at least 19.99....they can go fuck themselves by trying to pull that crap on me.....went to EB and had zero trouble obtaining it.
