Rising Star Learning
You can cancel at www.risingstarlearning.com, click "Need to Cancel?" button. Do not choose Instant Cancel or you will be charged $19.95. Choose "More Options" and request and RMA number. You must return one of the three discs they mail you. Also, they give you a return date that must be met or you will be charged the full price of the product.

No Star Ocean and no Sacred 2 makes me very sad, but I guess that I wasn't really expecting Sacred until the next update. It's still fairly far off.
 
If everyone could help me out, they put up the street fighter 4 fight pad in this update. I really want the fight stick cost 20 dollars less than guitar hero packages. If anyone that has time please send trainn a support ticket asking for it.

My expected ship date said, "January 23rd." Do they process on the weekends?

Release date for the game is the 23rd (it was updated from the 21st to the 23rd in the demo).

I would assume they'll place the order with amazon.com and it will ship on release date through UPS. Probably expect it early the following week (Tues/Wed)

The estimated ship date is just a static time they always tell you. It used to be 2 weeks, now I guess it's a week? They don't work weekends as far as I know, but I'm hoping they place the order today so I'll have it sometime next week. The last game I ordered I got in 4 days.

Jan. 23rd is the worldwide release date. Jan 21st is the US date.
 
I didn't get credit for grant connect, looks like another MCR. Cancellation was not a problem though.
Anyone taking more than a few minutes just needs to keep saying you want to cancel.
 
well i just did the forex but it forwarded me to google seo..its credited as google seo (instantly) but the google seo offer is still availalbe, and forex is not

wierd..
btw this was for the ipod trainn site

just a heads up man, i've been doing 4 of the TRAINN sites simultaneously, and if u do the referral way, TRAINN screws u over a little bit. They list their stuff at, lets say 8, then when u get ur 8, they ban 1/2 of ur referrals and then make u get another 4 or so, THEN they send u the product....happened to me on ALL the sites, my brother on 2 of the sites, and my friend. I'm not trying to bash 'em, just saying that u'll need more than they put off...in my experience.

as far as the forex thing, that happened to me as well, except it sent me to eSuccess2U...i think it might have been because i clicked on eSuccess2U then later to Forex

also i did mediamogulme for another trainn site, and it put a 49.90$ hold on my paypal account (i used vcc) and on the trainn site its said i completed the offer 3 times...wtf?
 
well it's been like since march 0f 08 since Idid this site since I hit the tax limit thing, but I did a couple today. Got credited for forex no problems there (no site forwarding) and waiting on two "same day" credits to arrive. I had referrals from last year, so my account is now being reviewed. Let's hope those referrals were legit.

I canceled after 3-4 days. When I used the forex number, it just kept ringing, but then I used the main PWW # n I cancelled right away, 1-800-497-4988

I second this. The fightsticks would be a sweet addition, and with an $80 price tag I'm sure some of you could return them to Amazon. I'll send Trainn an email.

If I remember correctly, when you use the referral system, TRAINN checks all of the referrals to see if they haven't abused the terms of service. TRAINN probably noticed that half of your referrals had two accounts on the same IP or something. So they are really not screwing you over. It's just that people don't read the rules and do something that will most likely screw over the person they signed up under.

but the thing is, I went to my referrals houses n helped set it up for em, all on their own computer n their own Internet, so I don't think that was it. Plus each of em had 1 account on 1 site. This was just my and my brothers personal experience
 
How well does this work? I'm interested and about ready to sign up so if anyone needs a referral let me know and I'll use you, but tell me the real inside scoop.

Hey guys,I have enough to order something & return it to amazon for the credit (no 360 games I want at the moment for $60,but I could get a few older games with that credit on Amazon.Do they still order from Amazon ?? Because the RB2 Guitar for 2 credits fetches $63 on Amazon....

You never know. Maybe your brother canceled too early or something. I highly doubt TRAINN would remove referrals for no reason.
 
u may be right, or they could be trying to get more people to sign up to get more money? i kno it sounds like a conspiracy, but think bout haha

Wasn't there talk somewhere in this thread about being banned for returning stuff to Amazon??
 
While the game update is nice, I'd rather see an offer update right now; the grant/credit check/e-auction trifecta is getting quite stale - and it's even worse with it being the same company for a large portion of the offers.

Sigh, it's been over a week since I sent my esuccess2u MCR...think I'll file a support ticket to see what's up...

I've never had an MCR credit in less than 2 weeks...
 
is there still a limit 2 for Guitar hero bundles? I have 5x guitar hero III bundles on my acct, but haven't ordered the Guitar Hero world guitar bundle. Am I good? Thanks G's

*edit* damn did a search and it's 3x of any GH bundles? is it EVER? if so suck ass lol. hopefully they'll let this go through if not. I need some expensive game action. hmm

I have had them credit many, many times in under a week. The longest was over a month.

It's just a matter of when the companies respond. I'm not sure how Trainn does it, but it seems like when I send them an email, they follow-up with the company and get the yes or no. That's just pure speculation on my part, though...

Bummer. Sitting on 2 credits. Was hoping for some more Street Fighter or Resident Evil stuff. Those will probably not come out until after the next month's update anyway. So, there's time. I just hate having those credits sitting there. I was gonna get Skate 2, but it would only go into my backlog. Lips is tempting, though as it's the most expensive item in the update, and I was considering it for the mics for future Rock Band compatibility.
 
i think i might send in a support ticket asking if they'll add sf4 for pre-order. considering how long it took the jan update to get here, it'd be good to have it ordered before release date.
 
Have 1 credit already and just did Media Mogul and Burea RX. Glad that they have the new update, I really want Skate II
 
just did netflix because my paypal debit card was renewed, yay.

this streaming on 360 is great. i'm never buying a dvd again!! haha. just have to wait 22 days for the netflix credit.

It's actually pretty decent, imo. I mostly watch indie, foreign, arthouse and documentary anyways. I suppose if you're looking for more popular stuff, it's not quite there yet. Seems to have most of the content on Redbox and Amazon, however.

I don't have movie channels (actually, I don't pay for cable at all - we just get the signal still somehow!) so it's good for me to watch these and save a loooot of money otherwise. :D
 
I love the 360s streaming capabilities. I have been streaming at least a year or two now. I probably have my streaming hours than gaming hours. haha. I even plan to start streaming for my parents with my neighbor's 360 that I'm borrowing.

I suggest taking a look at the descriptions of some of the movies. Really, a lot of people pass up some really great indie flicks that are worth seeing.

I recommend:

Cannibal the musical! (matt and trey who make south park made this)
Paprika (anime movie, very...odd)
Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter (it's dumb, but in a wtf way)
King of Kong (I suggest any gamer watch this - it's hilarious)
Helvetica (documentary about the font helvetica and how it is everywhere, probably only interesting to me as i'm a graphic design but it's funny)
Legend of Zelda complete series (for lols)
Walk Hard (so goofy, but i love it)

and i have 70 others in queue, dear god >_>

and if you like stand up i suggest checking out the two Comedians of Comedy and Zach Galafianakis movies. :)


and to get back on topic, i sent a req for them to add SF IV so it could be pre-ordered. Suggest those who intend on ordering it to do the same.
 
I tried signing up for eyeyourcredit and once I put in my info, it said they couldn't release my credit until the info was verified and I had to call. They are closed now but does everyone have to verify?

on another note, prob will have to file an MCR for google money tree =( and waiting for my referrals to get cleared

I hadn't been reading this thread for awhile so I wouldn't really know,but according to a user a few posts after you that guy returned every single game he got...I've got 16,and this would my 3rd return (non-consecutive as well) so I hope I'm good...

There is indeed a post several pages back (which I suggested should be put in the OP, but wasn't) with someone's response from Trainn confirming that they banned him because of returning games to Amazon, apparently in violation of their TOS.
