Free Xbox 360 Games (from Trainn...who is updating slowly)

Hey, hey, hey wait. I just got charged on the 19th for the video professor I did. It charged me 6.95. Then I look on my bank account and I have another charge of 4.95??? WTH>? I think It overdrafted my too. Anyone get charged extra by them? I'm confused.

i remember when i did it, i got charged like $4.60 and another charge of like $2.35...prices might've changed since i did it, but i remember them charging e 2 different times.
 
Video professor seems to have put two authorizations on my VCC too, but they haven't actually gone through yet. I'll keep a look out and see what the deal is.
 
Just canceled my trial at Credit Check Total. Took 2 min and the girl was very nice. Didn't even ask why I canceled.

Edit: Just canceled esuccess2u. Easy, took less than 2 min also.

I'm still waiting on a Fallout 3 that "shipped" on Oct 31st.

Sent a ticket 2 weeks ago and they said a replacement would get to me in 2-3 days.

Sent another ticket today about where that one is on Friday, they havent responded to that one yet.
 
I ordered Call of Duty and it shipped on the 14th of Nov. and Left4dead shipped on the 18th. Left4dead got here today before call of duty and i was wondering if this is normal? Should i send a support ticket or wait a few more days? Thanks.

It normal cod5 is more popular and sells out quicker. Even though L4D is a better game, and thats coming from a hardcore cod fan.

I'm a bit in the same boat, although haven't been waiting as long. I got Fallout 3 shipping notification on Nov 2nd with an estimated delivery on the 10th. On the 18th I sent a message, got a reply on the 19th that they were shipping another game. It should have been here Sat or today. Hopefully it shows up tomorrow or i'm gonna have to wait til the end of the week for reasonable shipping delays and send another message.
 
Man I was hoping that my video prof was going to get here by tomorrow but I only just recieved the shipped email today. I don't think they will get here before the trial ends. Oh and are you able to cancel them on friday or you think they are closed. Idk with thanksgiving comming up.

Cancel it now. Never let a trial run out unless you want to pay exorbitant charges. It doesn't matter if you've received the product yet; just send it back when you get it.
 
I just cancelled the trial for Rising Star, and found out you don't need to call them. You can request an RMA number via their website. It's at risingstarlearning.com and there's a big orange button on the top right hand corner of the screen "Need to cancel?". You do need to click "other options" to get an RMA, since the first one that they present to you is just paying to keep the discs.

Pretty sweet though, I was dreading having to spend tons of time on hold this morning.

Make room for me. I was suppose to get the game back on Nov. 11th. Sent a ticket on Friday and they said it would be sent again yesterday. Hopefully I get tomorrow.
 
Hey, does anyone know what the terms are for this Video Professor offer? I thought it was supposed to be a 30 day trial, but now I have my doubts. Since I got credit for it already I can't click the offer to see what specifically the terms are.
 
Oct. 17 - Ordered a GH:WT Bundle
Oct 31 - Opened Support Ticket to see why it was still "processing"
Nov 2 - Was told I was over the GH Bundle Limit
Nov. 3 - I asked them to change it to a RB2 Guitar
Nov. 4 - They swapped the order / closed ticket
Nov. 7 - Got shipped email for Guitar
Nov. 18 - Havent received guitar / Open new support ticket
Nov. 24 - No response on ticket, so I reply again on ticket
Nov. 25 - I sent an email

For me it was a ten day trial.

If you are not happy with the lessons, just call and return one CD within 10 days and keep the other 2 CDs FREE* to avoid a purchase charge. *Pay up to $6.95 or ($8.51 USD in Canada) shipping & processing.
 
i did eye my credit on nov 4th and filed a missing credit request on nov 11 with the full email and headers...still have not seen the credit. i really wanna get this credit so i can grab mirrors edge and finish using the site for the rest of the year. will i ever get the credit?

plus im still waiting on a guitar hero world tour guitar bundle which was ordered in oct...ugh :(
 
Well a cool glitch seemed to happen to me last month.

I signed up for yourcreditreport.com and protectmyid on two seperate days. After i signed up for yourcreditreport it took a day or two to credit. After that, when i signed up for protectmyid (while waiting for my credit on yourcreditreport) I got a credit instantly and did not charge me for the ProtectmyID trial. It said there was a problem with my social or something about the questions answered wrong and i needed to call. So i did, but the thing is they did not see ProtectmyID on their system. They only saw yourcreditreport.com and said everything looked fine. So i called back on the 22nd day to make sure i was ok and they confirmed what i said above, that i was never fully signed up. She had to look me up by my CC number because my social pulled up nothing. She made a note on my account that i had called to cancel and I was done. I recieved both games i ordered, Guitar Hero World Tour and Fallout 3.

I know this is not good because TRAINN might hate me forever but I did call to try and fix the situation. It is just strange that this error is around.

Anyway, hope this helps someone.
 
Completed EyeMyCredit & Consumer Direct on 10/14/08. Have yet to receive credit. Filed MCRs for both on 10/21/08. Waited 10 business days to receive credit, never did. Contacted TRAIN, all they keep saying is that they're emailing the advertisers for confirmation. Advertisers have yet to get to them. It's now 11/25/08. Talk about a ridiculous amount of time to wait for 2 credits. I've been keeping on top of them though. I'm determined to get those credits. :)

On top of that, it looks like Every Day Grant didn't credit either, so I filed an MCR for that one too back on 11/20/08. Sigh.

I'm not making any orders till next year though, as I'm at $596 worth of games for the year. Don't want to file taxes for this, this year. I'll just wait till 2009 and go crazy with all my stacked credits. ^_^

Timeline:

Ordered: Nov. 14th
Got "Shipped" email: Nov. 14th
Sent support ticket: Nov. 21st, was told it would arrive Tues. the 25th.
Item Arrived: Nov. 25th

Nite Trim is 14 days. I think it's 10 days for Video Professor, I'm not positive about it though.
 
Ordered COD:WOW on the 18th, haven't received it yet. My girlfriend also ordered a GH:WT bundle at least a month ago. Never received it, and they aren't responding to the support tickets/emails.

Ugh.

She also created a MCR on the 23rd last month with no update either.

Yes, you select "I received the item as a gift". I selected "Incompatible with system" (or something to that effect) as the return reason and they said I would get credited for the shipping to return it as well. :bouncy:

Oh and for you netflix users.

If you sign up the netflix ad and sign up as the 3 dvds out at a time, can you change it to 1 dvd out at a time before the trial ends and only get charged for the 1dvd price during the actual payment process. I did the 3dvd and I already see the charge pending on my card. If you can't I dont know if I will pay the $17 for the 1 credit. I will probably cancel before the offer ends.

Maybe someone else could answer this. If I don't receive the products from the two offers and the trials are about to end, do I cancel the offers and send them back after or do I wait for them?
 
Just a special note to people because I didn't see it in the OP (and if Rig wouldn't mind adding it it'd be great..."


If you decide to end your free/reduced trials and cancel over the phone always ask for an email confirmation of your cancelation and ask for the CSR's name or ID number or whatever.

Especially because reading back a few pages and noticing that some people have phone calls that sound like they got things sorted out then still got charged... as my boss always says if it's not in writing, it never happened. They can't deny a refund if you have an email dated prior to a charge confirming your cancellation.

This is a good practice not just for situations like this but for real situations if you ever subscribe to something.

Well ok, I've had quite a bit on my mind lately what with school, work, and personal issues. ..So I've forgotten to cancel my trial for Grant Every Day. I was the 7th day yesterday.

I called and tried to weasel my way out of it, and the following transpired:

Me: Hi, I never received my confirmation email, so it's now the 8th day and I've not used my trial!
Operator: ok sir, but instructions were on your confirmation page when you clicked 'submit'.
Me: well, the page timed out...
Operator: I'm sorry sir, the 58 dollars is now non-refundable.
Me: But this is ridiculous. I've not gotten to use my free trial!
Operator: sorry sir, not refundable.
Me: Mmmkay, so here's what I'll be doing. I'm going to call my bank and dispute the charge, is that OK with you?
Operator: well ok sir, if you're going to go that route, I'll make it easy for you and just refund your money. Here's a cancelation number and and email has been sent. Sorry for the trouble.
