Yes, I would have tried to get out of it too. However, I wouldn't have "threatened" them with a chargeback.

However, most of the time it does more harm then good, even though it worked out to your advantage in this case.

Sorry about that, I haven't checked the thread recently.

I haven't gotten either Nite Trim or Video Professor yet. Tomorrow I'm going to call Video Professor and see what's up there, since the trial is just about over.

I think other people have said just to cancel it and send it back as soon as you get it in, which doesn't sound like a bad idea to me really. The only snag there is if they have delivery confirmation on the packages, and if the CSR has the initiative to look it up. But you could also just say you don't want to do business with a company that can't ship product in a timely manner as well.

I just got mine in the mail today. Here is some things the letter thing said.

As a part of Video Professor's review program, you have ten DAYs to review your 3-disk lesson(s). If during your review period you decide that your lessons do not meet your needs, simply call us at 1-800-519-4110 before your 10 day free trial expires to obtain a Return Authorization Number (If 10 days isn't enough time, please call us to have your review time extended up to 20 days). Return any one of the three lessons and you will never be charged a purchase price. Keep the other two lessons absolutly free.

HOwever, if you enjoy our lessons as much as we think you will, then do nothing. Keep all three cds as $189.95 will be conveniently billed to your credit card. Generally, it will take 5-7 business days to deliever your lessons (longer for canada) and billing usually occurs 17 days from the date of your order
and this about returns

Please note: All returns must include a return authorization number. In order to process your return and to ensure that your credit card is not charged, the return authorization number must be displayed on the outside of the returned lesson. Returning a lession without the nuimber can result in your credit card being charged if we can't locate your account to stop billing

so i think if you don't have an excuse to cancel then just say you dont agree with the lisence agreement and you want to return it. IDK though you might have to return everything instead of just one disk. Just throwing it out there.

They asked why I canceled and I told them that it was too complicated and I don't think it's worth keeping at the billing price. Then they asked what programs I have for my computer, most likely to offer me more products free if I stay, I told him that I only use the computer for internet searches and only ordered the PhotoShop lession because my friend is good with it and i was interested after I seen the commercial. Then he said ok and asked if I wanted a CD showing me to search better(lmao). I said no thanks. After a few more min of begging he finally gave me my RAN and edited my account. Then try to sell me a Mic that types words for you on your computer as you talk.

Ok, so the trial ISN'T 10 days? It's just 10 days after the shipping of the CDs? Tomorrow would be my 5th day so I might receive it tomorrow. I'm guessing Sunday isn't a business day.

Like I said I just copied it from the page they sent me, I'm not positive.

I think that the trial is 17 days from sign-up not 10 days from shipping of the Cds. I signed up on the 21st and got the package today on the 28th. I might have gotten it yesterday if it wasn't a holiday and I canceled today. I wouldn't take any chance with that billing price. It's not just like $50 it $189.95! I also didn't find the cds that helpful anyway. I think youtube would do better, but I only tried the 2 cds.

Just be careful and don't push the date too far. You should get the Cds 6-8 days after signup (just my own estimate) .

I still have to call them back to ask what to ship back. I forgot to ask because the guy was too busy begging me to stay, kinda made me uncomfortable.I wonder how far they would go to keep a customer? I wonder if they would send you every lesson free to stay. They offered me the orgional 3 they send plus 5 more lessons and a digital camer to stay for the billing price of $189.95. That's still a big no way.

Edit: Also, I forgot to ask about if they would refund the shipping costs. I know they said they do on the commercial. I hope it isn't too last to get the charges refunded as they charged me 4 times. Once was $4.95, another was $2.95 and the other 2 were $1 and $1.

Oh and can I get help with something.

Where to I go to ship something with Delivery Conformation? Do I go to the post office? If I do how much is it. Thanks in advanced.
 
Oh, I see. I just got the shipping confirmation for the video professor but I'm going to call and get this trial thing sorted out. Don't wanna get charged. Also, I noticed video professor have pending charges on my account. There are two for $1 and one is pending at around $4. It's all pending though because no money was taken.

You can do it through the post office, I think it's less than $1 to add delivery confirmation to it. The clerk usually just asks when you are shipping a package if you want to add delivery confirmation before you pay, but if not there are green tags that you can take up to the counter.

If you're REALLY paranoid you can ship it UPS, and they'll give you a tracking number for that, but it'll cost a good deal more than just going to the post office.
 
For those who ordered COD:WAW, how long did it take for you to get it? Mine says shipped but everyone has been having delivery issues lately.

1. The only number I could find is this: 1-888-276-8105

However, I just did mine via their contact forum, so I didn't have to call.

2. The trial is 7 days. They say they need "Ample time (2 business days)" between your cancellation date and the end of your trial to avoid being charged.

3. Not as far as I know, the trial is $2.95 but on the payment page if you select "Digital Delivery" or similar it is only $1.95 and you don't get a CD in the mail.

Also, you will get a call from "MyClubRewards". If you don't answer this call you won't be in "MyClubRewards" system and won't have to cancel that part.

However, if you do pick up that call, the number to cancel that is:

888-535-5354
 
My CoD and GoW 2 took a good 5-6 days which is weird cuz I usually got my games within 2-3 days...must be the holiday rush that's messing everything up....still waiting on my copy of Left 4 Dead, been 10 days now, but I'm guessing it was cuz of Turkey Day
 
I got my guitar hero world tour bundle in 2 days so I guess it's really just luck of the draw with how long it takes.

I'm guessing the same. Ordered COD:WAW on Nov. 24th. Changed to shipped on the 26th. I'm expecting it tomorrow or Tuesday but you never know.

EDIT: My support ticket was replied to in regard to my blockbuster MCR. I must of did something wrong.

Unfortunately, we were unable to manually verify the sign-up as you did not provide us with sufficient information.

In order to process a missing credit request, we must receive the full confirmation / welcome email with full headers. You did include the email headers in the request, however, did not include the confirmation email.

You may submit the confirmation email by replying to this message with it. Upon receiving that information, we will attempt to manually confirm the sign-up and credit your account.


I don't get it. I only received one email upon sign up for blockbuster. Does anyone know what they mean?

You need to send them the whole email, including the message ("Thank you for joining etc, whatever it says in the body") not just the headers. That's what they're saying.

Thanks for the help. I resent it to them. I just asked because it looked so ridiculous sending all of that in a support ticket (they said I could reply with it in the support ticket).
 
just out of curiousity am I missing something? I'm trying to do Pacific works offers (i've done them in the past) with my wife"s credit card.. new address and they are still being declined (keep getting check address and security # message).. Same message from the same company that does Increase my margin and the others. I was excited when I moved since I had reached the $600 limit during the summer and saw it as a fresh start but, I can't get any of the good offers to go through. Any thoughts?

UPS was not in service on Thanksgiving or the day after for standard ground shipments. Expect a delay of at least 2 days, so depending on where you live, today or tomorrow *should* be delivery.

Oooh...did I just run into a problem? I received my DDR Universe 3 order today...which I intended to return to Amazon to pay for some blu-rays I was going to buy as Christmas gifts. But on my order invoice, below the item details it says:

Video Game
Exchange for same item only -Return not permitted-

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS??? Somebody please tell me that's always been there because I've never noticed it before. The invoice does still have all the "Returns Are Easy!" info on it too though, so I'm hoping this just means that since it's a video game, if I open it, I can only exchange it for the same item (duh!). It's just kinda freaking me out because this would seriously put a kink in my Christmas shopping. Anybody know?

Yes it does, the first game i ever got thru YF360G.com was shipped via UPS and it came on a Monday.

On other news, my order for Left 4 Dead shipped the 21st and i got it today, :D
Now i'm waiting for PoP to ship, then i'm done for the year....or until they add new offers

i wouldn't imagine that it would be a problem? if you go through the returns process through amazon it should say refund only...

i'd just return it, screen cap the whole process of returning it, and see what happens.

i just returned a ddr bundle today, hopefully no restocking fee business to deal with this time. i need to do some x-mas shopping on amazon, too. >_>

I hope so. I might have some old invoices lying around from games that I kept. I'll check and see if they mention the video game thing also. I just never noticed it before, and started to get paranoid that they flagged my address for doing too many gift returns.

Just out of curiosity, what did you select as your reason for return? I usually pick "not compatible with my system".

i signed gamefly 5 days ago and it hasnt credited so im gunna have to mcr,,, this wouldnt be a problem if i was able to send them correctly,,, what i mean by this is,,, the 2 mcrs that i have sent in the past i have sent all the required information,

What email client do you use? Perhaps your email client doesn't actually give full headers.
 
blah still waiting on my mirrors edge which supposedly shipped last tuesday and also a guitar hero world tour bundle from over a month ago (sent in a ticket, theyre reshipping).

im just really freakin' anxious to play mirrors edge.

If you get restocking fees, have amazon call you.. Don't call the 800 or 866 #. I called the 800# and talked to Indian CSR.. they first said they couldn't do anything, and than somehow sent the restocking refund back to TRAINN... I dealt with them for 3 weeks and got nothing but a headache. Finally I used the option for amazon to call you and dealt with a U.S rep. It took her 30 minutes and had my restocking fee refunded to me.

Ditto. They sell through the Amazon store. yf360g probably just went with the lowest price to save themselves a few bucks. Fine by me as long as everything comes in new and fresh (and it did.)
