Free Xbox 360 Games (from Trainn...who is updating slowly)
thats happened to me before. i called, tried to cancel but their database was down, called back in 20 min (after being told to call in 2 hours)...ends up my account was actually canceled and the lady lied to me, asked for my confirmation #. Its a little game they play, just a heads up.

as for the extra rock band thing, keep it haha, what can they do?
I called back and they canceled everything. Shit was reallyw weird, though.
Has anyone received a call from Vemmabuilder? I just got an email from them and they called my phone... o_o;
That's why you should use an online number, like K7.

I always just put my regular number in, but change the last digit so I can remember it when confirming my account etc when I call in to cancel.

Never had any issues with credit being denied over my phone number.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but I checked further into the Government Grants offer and the final page where you put in your credit card information is exactly the same page as Free Grant Network.

Just thought I would point this out.

EDIT: I just did Google Money Tree. Hopefully I won't have to MCR it but a search yielded an average time of 2 days for credit. I guess I will wait and see what happens.

Ok so I just received my Rock Band 2 Guitar that I wanted to return to amazon for credit. However, the invoice says no returns and exchange for same item only.I guess Trainn (or Amazon) caught on after ppl would do this over and over with the guitar hero bundles.Has this happened to anyone else?? Anyway around this?? I plan to email Amazon and if I would see theres anything I can do since I have 2 guitars already.Had I known this I would have just waited until there was a 360 game I actually wanted but it didn't seem like that was coming anytime soon.
I e-mailed TRAINN about my MS point card that shipped on Jan. 20.
I think I ordered mine the same time you did. I know it didn't come in today.

I did eSuccess2U last night and got instant credit. today i got a few phone calls from 801-578-9020. I googled the number and it turned out to be linked to PWW. I just picked up the phone after the most recent attempt and they wanted to confirm my trial registration (my 7 day trial registration) and tell me that the customer service phone number is 1-800-497-4988

did AtHomeMoneyExperts a week ago and no credit, e-mail, or charge...turns out to be the same company as Media Mogul Me.

Yeah, I had previously cancelled MMM, and the customer service lady for AtHome told me that she didn't see an account for me. Furthermore, she told me that I had cancelled AtHome on Jan. 21, the day I cancelled MMM (I signed up for AtHome on Jan. 23). Very strange, and I don't anticipate any credit for the AtHomeMoney offer.

Same thing happened to me when I tried to do Media Mogul. I think the offer has ended or something.

Nevermind, I got it today.

I got an email from TRAINN this afternoon saying that F.E.A.R. 2 has shipped...but it doesn't release until the 10th. I think they're confused. :p

Question...I signed up for two offers a while ago and with my luck I never got the credits. Im filing an MCR now but its asking me whether or not I cancelled it. Do i lie and say no or be honest and say yes?

Tell them you canceled it.

Hey guys, I'm new to this thread and to the site being used. Sorry if this has been asked before, but are debit cards allowed with the offers? If so, are there any bad side effects to using one?
Hey guys, I'm new to this thread and to the site being used. Sorry if this has been asked before, but are debit cards allowed with the offers? If so, are there any bad side effects to using one?
If your debit card has a visa or mastercard logo (and I think pretty much all do), then you're fine about 95% of the time.

The downside: if you don't cancel or they screw up, they'll grab the money straight from your bank account. (Okay, not technically a downside, since that is what you're signing up to do, unless you cancel.)

Personally, I use MC or Visa gift cards whenever possible. Yes, I pay an extra $4 for a $25 card; but I have peace of mind that my banking account is safe. (Plus, it's easier to manage my trials that way, since that is all I use the gift cards for, for the most part.)

To your first question, yes debit cards are allowed. Gift cards are also allowed but not every offer accepts them. All offers should accept debit cards without a problem though.

You can also use a VCC from Paypal (via the Paypal Plug-in) which allows you to safeguard yourself by getting rid of the card so they can't accidentally charge you.

However, with that being said, you shouldn't just cancel the Paypal VCCs and not take the five minutes to cancel your trials. If too many people do this than companies will (and do!) take down the ability to use MasterCards due to a decent amount of cards being unchangeable because they were canceled instead of the user properly canceling their trial(s).

Thanks for the quick answers, guys. I really appreciate it.

About PayPal VCC, is there any extra fees for making/using one? I've never even heard of them before today.

No.
did you guys who did home money experts get the $49.90 pending charge on your statement? since its the same company as media mogul me im assuming it goes away when you cancel. just double checking.
can someone answer that question for me?
To your first question, yes debit cards are allowed. The only thing you are not allowed to pay with is a gift card.
I have to disagree with you on the bolded point. I am looking at Trainn's T&C and there is no mention of this anywhere.

However, individual offers may state this, but that would probably be a case by case basis. (I could look up all the T&C of offers I have done, but that is on my flash drive in the other room.)

As I just said, I use MC or Visa GCs all the time, with very few problems. (And that is if it is just rejected outright when signing up.)

Unless you know something different and can correct me, let's try to avoid blanket statements that may not be completely true.

EDIT: From the first post, right from Rig: "Can I use prepaid/gift credit cards to complete trials?
This gets asked often. It will vary on an offer-to-offer basis. I asked Trainn specifically, and the rep told me they don’t mind if you are using them. However, they did mention some companies will not recognize prepaid cards. I myself don’t use them, so I can’t tell you which allow them and which don’t. Try it at your own risk."

Sorry Popsmith, but I can testify on this for Rig. If Trainn doesn't mind, then I stand by what I said above.
Where do you buy those gift cards from, PlumeNoir?
Pretty much anywhere, these days. I usually buy mine at Meijer or Kroger - and I have seen them at stores like K-mart, as well.

If they don't have a little display, you can usually buy them at the customer service or at the register aisles.

Just to be clear, these aren't store cards. This is the kind I usually get:
https://giftcardmall.com/visagift/. No real reason, other than I am used to their website. Once you buy one, log onto their site and enter your info (Name, address, etc.) It's been spoken of on this forum in the past that this is a good thing to do, because there's less chance of an offer rejecting the card. (I never used to do this, but do now and have had probably 100% success signing up for things now.)

I've used other ones, and they all work pretty much the same.

You can buy them in different amounts ($25, $50, $100, etc) and they usually charge an extra $3 to $5 when you buy the card. I usually go with the $25 card, myself.

Interestingly, it came in handy today. I left my debit card at home on accident this morning when I left for work (and I never carry credit cards with me) and didn't realize it until I stopped to get a coffee and snack. I remembered I had my gift card on me, so I used that.
Munch, my points card arrived today, shipped from buy.com.

Ha! I just scrolled up, and saw your post, too.
Mine came from buy.com too. I wonder if there trying to stay away from amazon.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check out my local stores and see if they sell 'em.

It's ok, I edited my post to reflect that and say "They aren't banned but not all offers recognize them."

I drew my original conclusion from something I thought I remembered reading saying you couldn't use them.

Anyway, thanks for bringing that to my attention. ;)

Whoa...i look at my chase account online and its says I have a $72 charge pending for google money tree after I cancelled it yesterday. I mean i have the cancellation code that the guy on the phone gave me and everything, but is this normal? I was also charged $2.95 for eauction when it didnt even work when i tried it. I never got a confirmation email either...wtf. Plus i still havent gotten any credits for any of my games. This is too much of a hassle.

If the charge is pending then it hasn't gone though yet. This is usually 'normal' but I'm surprised they have a pending charge that large. I've had smaller pending charges on my account that have cleared themselves a few days after my trials ended because i canceled them.

Since you called them and canceled (and got your cancellation number) you could easily dispute it if needed.

However, I believe it is safe to say that the charge (If it is in pending status) will go away in a few days. If it doesn't then I would call the place that put the charge on your account and ask them what's going on.

Even though its a large pending charge, it still lifted some weight off my shoulders so thanks for that. If anything happens I will give em a call. Out of curiousity, have you or anyone ever tried Eauction and gotten a confirmation email?

i never got a confirmation email from eauction but it credited really fast and was an extremely easy cancellation by phone.

It's cool. I re-read what I replied to you and realized I may have come off like a dick, which wasn't my intent. We both replied quickly to Camwi saying different things and I just wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page.

No harm, no foul, I hope. :D

Wow. I called BureauToolsRX the other day to cancel and gave them my name and # and they said I wasn't in the system. Tonight I noticed a $30 charge from them on my account. I know I gave them the right name (because it's my name) and number (I use a K7 number that I've used 100 times). This is bogus.

OK, called to cancel At Home Money Experts today. I definitely got routed to a representative for Media Mogul Me, so it does appear to be the same deal. However, he knew the name At Home Money Experts by name (I called it Home Media Experts...oops!) so I'm not exactly sure what the connection is--it doesn't seem to be the exact same offer, but it's definitely related. Rep had a VERY long script to read before I canceled.

Now, I did indeed get credit for this offer even though I had done Media Mogul Me about two weeks ago. YMMV on this offer if you've done MMM before, so keep that in mind if you do it.
thats horrible dang
Yeah, I'm none too pleased.

Does anyone have an e-mail address for Bureau Tools RX or anything? I'd like to try and contact their customer support without having to "speak" to an outsourced customer service rep in India who is somehow named "Rob."

Anyone have the number for EZ Grant Source? I signed up Monday and there is a charge on my card, but I haven't got credited or emailed.
