Why are you thinking about death?
I start thinking about all that we don't understand about the universe and the earth, and I think shit, I'll be dead long before we discover even a fraction of it. Most of the time I don't linger on it, but every once in a while it will really get me down.

Anyone want these:

iconbluraypng.png
A Bug's Life (Mint Complete w/DC, DMR code used) - $20 shipped 1st class
iconbluraypng.png
Watchmen (New Sealed w/lenticular slipcover) - $18 shipped 1st class

Take both for $35 shipped 1st class...looking for Paypal only.

Yeah. I've tried a pair, actually, and the sound quality is good enough that one can just turn them up enough to block out most of the environment and still be comfortable. Not to mention that closed ear headphones add distortion to the sound because they create a close cavity (probably not a ton, but still).

They're also really comfortable, have astounding sound quality (according to all the review I've read and my friend who knows a ton about this stuff), and are affordable (if I'm lucky, since I don't want to drop more than $60 on one).
You bought watchmen and never opened it?
I ended up with 2 copies so I'm trying to sell one.

Did you get it on the PS3 because it $5 cheaper than on the X360 Mak?

Enough of this break...back to Team Fortress 2

I should also mention that Grado's headphones look super sick. No superfluous bullshit on 'em.
You should check out the Head Fi buy/sell/trade forums, if you are patient you can get really good deals on there.

Didn't catch this edit.

Thanks for the link. I'll keep it in mind, but since I don't have the specialized knowledge that they have, I think my best bet is to have one specific model in mind and look for deals for that, instead of jumping on something I have no knowledge about just for the price.

I'm hoping to find a pair of Sr60/i for less than 50 shipped. Apparently that's what refurbs go for, just can't find any online.

And Grado's do look really fucking cool.

I like to put my clothes in the dryer without washing them and let them run for a full cycle before sitting on top of them in the middle of my room. Feels good, man.

Oh, I'm not concerned at all with sound leaking in but instead with the sound leaking out so you couldn't use them in a public environment. I used some birthday money to order my first pair of open-air headphones that I'll use for a while until I can justify buying some Sennheiser 595s. I'm not concerned with sound leakage on the pair that I ordered since they'll just be for hooking up to my receiver and I have some earbuds for my iPhone.

They sell all sorts of headphones on there. Grados are pretty common and when I was looking into it it wasn't uncommon to see SR-125s(?) going for $80 or so.
It also irons out the wrinkles.
I never noticed that but I guess me sitting on them doesn't help that. Good to know if I'm ever really late for a date.

I see. I'll ask my friend about that, and maybe try his pair out a little more. I won't be using them in a situation where leakage might be an issue though, more often than not. Only time I can think of when it might be a problem is at the library, and I can use a standby old ipod headphone pair.

But yeah, I'll keep my eyes out for deals on that forum. I'm concerned that no one would want to deal with me though, since I'll have no posts and a very recent join date, but we'll see.

Thanks.

edit: dang, I saw that a pair of SR125s sold for $62 shipped.
You shouldn't have a problem if you're looking to straight-up buy them, most of the sellers there are pretty established members of that community.

Have you considered building an amp for them?

I'd heard amps helped a lot, but always thought they were expensive. That looks super easy/cheap, so I think I will now.

I hope I can get everything to fit into my "Ronald Reagan Speaks Out Against Nationalized Healthcare" tin.
I'm pretty happy with my free Sennheiser HD-201 headphones.
Don't ever lurk the head-fi forums then. I was plenty happy with my 202's until I went there.

EDIT: Ballin, the chick I took bowling just invited me to the Kay initiation dance.
...but I don't get to talk to her all week because it's rush week. :whistle2:|

Hang on, let me check. They're really nice. I'm only selling them because I have a house now as opposed to an apartment so I don't really need to be quite anymore.
