Full Auto Reviews & General Discussion

After reading all of the reviews, I've come to the conclusion that I'd pay no more than $35 for Full Auto.

well, after reading user reviews, i've come to the conclusion that the face plate is worth more than the game. I'll pass. maybe $5 bin in 2009.

 that is awesome! :applause:

I hated the demo, but actually enjoy the full game.

It reminds of San Fran Rush with guns.

Its not particularly deep, but it'll hold me over till GRAW.

I don't mind the music, it's generic and unobtrusive. I'm enjoying the game so far, faceplate's a little meh, and no I'm not selling it.
How's the multiplayer? Can you rewind?
People on the xbox.com forums seem to say that the Live multiplayer is awesome and the best part of the game.

Hi:

I've got to say that multiplayer is really fun on live. I played lots of races last night and everyone was pretty cool. I did not experience any lag at all and I liked the fact that after a match you could still play with the same people if the host does not disconnect.

I can't remember when a game got this much love it or hate it press... I do not regret my purchase at all.

Well, I picked this game up over the weeked at Best Buy due to the free faceplate (which looks awesome) as well as having a $6 off coupon.

Ive spent about 3 hours so far with the game and its actually pretty enjoyable. Its a mix between Burnout/Twisted Metal/LA Rush. I havn't had a chance to go online with it as Im still trying to get the hang out of it, but so far ive unlocked 10 acheivements (for those that go nuts for them like me) and still have 40 to go (Yep, 50).

Anyone else have it and feel like playing some Live?

I picked it up, but I haven't taken the wrapper off of it yet. I might play it some tonight though depending on how frustrated I get at DOA4.

I'm getting this game in a trade soon. The multiplayer stuff sounds pretty fun and I like how there is a boatload of achievements to get.

I started playing a little this weekend and enjoyed what I played. The graphics are great in HD and the destruction and partical effects are really nice. I only played through the tutorial and the tough guy series.

The only problem I have with the game is the soundtrack glitch which I can confirm that it sucks as most people, I like to race to my own music and that I did not see much level varity in the first portion of the game, but there is much more left to play.

I have not yet played online but heard good things from a friend of mine.

The in-game music isn't horrible, lets face it its no NSFU music, so thank God. Its just instrumental stuff, but it does suck to have to choose a song prior to starting the race. I keep my soundtrack on random, right be fore the race starts I choose music, select playlist and press play all, I'll get a random song, then I'll do it again etc. Atleast this way I dont have to shuffle through songs but man they need a patch for this.

They said that the game was ready for launch but held off to make it better, WTF happened to the custom soundtracks. I doubt there will ever be a patch but its not like it will kill the game. I love the game, but playing my own music would have been kick-ass.

Exactly

I'm really enjoying this game more and more. I don't really see the negative comments. I know the Burnout comparison ALWAYS happens with this, but I think it's right up there with it. You race, lots of explosions, guns....fun stuff. People say it gets old, but isn't Burnout the same reptitive racing too. Yes, I know Burnout has those CRASH courses, but that is not the whole game...the bulk is RACING.

Okay, I finally got around to playing some Full Auto last night and the 5.5 score from OXM seems extremely low for this game. It's a pretty fun game and I haven't even tried out the multiplayer yet.

Yea, the OXM score is considerably low for this game. At this moment Id give it a 7.5 for a couple reasons. Like stated, the custom soundtrack glitch, I experienced a glitch yesterday where the menu didnt go away when the race started so I was driving with that on my screen, and the corrupt save files on some games (my buddy lost more his whole career and he only had one race left).

I can see the game getting some what repetitive but Im still enjoying it now (about 4 hours in and 50% done). I should have the game beat by this weekend and then im going to try it online.

Overall, Im happy with my purchase, glad I didnt listen to the reviews

The game is damn hard online. Its madness. Bullets, missles, mines, and grenades everywhere. Its hard to stay in the lead let alone win. I've only played about 10 online races and the closest I've gotten is 3rd place. Its a challenge but its fun as hell.

So, has anyone gotten up to a level 10 ranking online yet? I was able to quickly get to a level 4 ranking and was wondering if it is just a matter of playing more races rather than actual skill. I think I've raced about 8 races online, won 1, and finished in the middle of the pack on the rest. Pretty fun online though, especially on some of the more congested tracks.

I hit a rank 10 today (only took yesterday and today to do it)... The whole scoring system is goofy. One of my buddys got a rank 7 with only 48 points. I got rank 10 with 280 points (from what it registered i had like 31 races and 14 or so of them were first place victories, i also had something like 50 kills and 50 deaths).

I also got a corrupted file yesterday too on my 6th race. Lost all my offline stuff (I knew it was going to happen so i got all my achievements offline before i went online). Im still kind of bummed

I thought the ranking system would have been like Halo2. Too bad on the glitch, I'm glad I have a memory card. I'll have to back up my file before I play on Live again.
I've seen several people mention the save glitch, but is there something that actually triggers it?
Playing online apparently. If it freezes there is a chance you may loose your save. Full Auto has frozen on me ATLEAST a dozen time, most on XBL.

Mine's frozen a couple times too. I actually let it sat for more than a min once and it came back. I've never had to restart when it freezes, maybe restarting is what makes you lose your saves.

BUMP - I just got this game used pretty cheaply and I have to say I'm enjoying it so far. Haven't played a LOT, but from what I've played, its not as awful as everyone said. I actually like it better than I did after I got done playing the demo.

And yeah, that custom soundtrack glitch is ass. Still, this game is worth a cheap purchase, at least.

Well, I think I'm trading mine into GameRush today....I like the game, but still like Burnout a little better. This was fun though....I played enough for my tastes though.
I have the game but have barely played it. Do they plan on addressing the custom soundtrack glitch?
I would seriously doubt it.

I'm working on my last few achievements and then I'm going to trade this game in. Fun, but as doubledown stated, Burnout Revenge is going to last me a little longer.

I got hit with the glitch too. I just have no idea when. I was around 52% complete the last time I played about 2 weeks ago. I popped the game in the 360 today, went to the career mode and noticed everything was locked and my percentage complete was 0%. I have no desire to restart this from the beginning either.

Well for some reason I just got around to trying the demo out last night. I tried playing it twice but it froze both times. Did anyone have a similar experience with the demo? No games or demos have ever frozen before, so I was just wondering if anyone else had problems with the demo.

Question for shipwreck or whoever else has completed 1000 achievement points:

To get the 100 wins achievement, is that 100 wins online or 100 wins total? Also, roughly how many races did it take to get to level 10 on XBL? I'm on 6 I believe.

I got my 100 wins offline. By the time you have all the Full Auto medals you should be close to this achievement. I just kept racing one of the early short races over and over until the achievement popped up. Maybe took me ten races or so.

As for the level 10 on XBL, I got it when I reached 220 points. It's really not that hard. The most difficult thing about it is to get in races that will actually count your points as you don't get any points if less than half of the cars don't make it to the finish line before time runs out. (It's pretty screwy even when you meet that stipulation as well).

The thing that always confused me on this game was that different people in the same race would be talking about a different number of total cars in the race. It was really strange to hear people saying that they were in 8th place when I was only in a race with 6 cars.

Awesome, thanks for your help. I'm almost at 1000 just need the 100 wins the the XBL ones. When I first got the game I thought I would keep it but since I've been playing a lot, I've been noticing all the glitches and long ass load times. Its a great game but I'll probobly depart as soon as I see a good trade in deal. Hopefully Full Auto 2 will clean up its mistakes.

Yep, fun game, but I traded mine in as soon as I had all the achievements as well. I felt like I got my money's worth out of it.

just got this game off a cag

there is alot quick on the fly strategy evolved

i was also supprised that people still play online
well, might as well ask since the topic was bumped up haha...might pick this up if it has
I sold mine so I can't check it now, but from the last time I played, it wasn't. Its still a great game though. The music will play but every now and then it will cut off.
