So, Futurama is just about my favorite American cartoon series ever, and like so many great things, the show was cut down in it's prime.
Well, as fans know, there have been some Futurama direct-to-DVD movies/new episodes in the works for some time now. I, personally, was a bit unsure about how to feel about these, as they are being created with the involvement of Comedy Central. Comedy Central is fine and all, but basically, all of their non-South Park cartoons are shit. I was really nervous they might get cornered into using the same ugly digital animation seen in Lil Bush and Drawn Together. I also really dreaded the idea of Comedy Central's typical humor style being blended into the show, but I now believe that the show's creators are too defensive for that, and Comedy Central's decision makers hopefully not dumb enough for that.
Anyways, at San-Diego Comic-Con 2008, they finally took the wraps off this thing, and from what I've seen and heard, I have nothing to fear. As far as I can tell, nothing will change, the key talent is back, and this is going to be incredible. They played a great teaser clip to whip up excitement, and it's really terrific.
