G4 apologizes for Tuesday press conference debacle

At the start of their final E3 show of the week, Sessler and Periera apologized for G4 cutting to commercial during the Tuesday Microsoft press conference and said they will show the full trailer now. But they showed last year's trailer.

They then said, "Ha just a joke. We'll really show the new trailer later in the show." Before the apology they also joked when they promised what trailers where upcoming in the show, they would actually show the full trailer, pinky swear!

AOTS is ok.

X Play could be better if it didn't have Adam Sessler....or Morgan Webb
 
I used to love the show they had with Tina Wood and some blond chick with spiky hair, once that died...I quit G4TV. I can't stand Morgan Webb, she looks like a transvestite and and that other jackhole who talks like a nerd with athsma is horrible as well.
 
At least Olivia Munn is hot. The other female announcers are frightening though
and it's obvious they don't know shit about games so why are they even there?
And the male ones are all idiotic tools. But Olivia....Olivia come to me baby.
 
I watched G4 cutting away from the Halo 3 trailer on Youtube and it sounds like Adam was telling someone not to cut to a comerical.
 
Dont diss on Adam...

He tried to help us out, if you turn up your volume when they cut to commericial during the Halo 3 trailer you can hear adam say:

adam-"you cannot cut now!"
unkown-"we have to..."
adam-"you cant, that is insane and that is so unproffessional you...*cut*

That was cool he tried to stop them.

And G4 has amazing E3 coverage, I dont care how much you hate G4, their E3 coverage is wonderful!

COME on they had the fu-cking Press Conferences LIVE on tv. Thats worth something.

I just wish they were in HD.
 
Call for help, g4tv.com, electric playground. They killed off all the good shows. Xplay is dumb. Morgan doesnt know sh*t about games. You could see the conference live on the comp or just watched highlights if you wanted to
 
Yeah I should say they act like idiotic tools. I don't know them personally so I have no idea what they are like in real life. Now Olivia I would like to get to know better. OK I will stop now LOL.

[/quote] It's too bad they couldn't get a sponsor so that they wouldn't of needed to air commercials during the conferences. Hopefully they will be able to get some sponsors next year, I would rather watch the conferences on TV.
 
I wanted to put my fist through the TV screen when they showed last year's trailer. I only made it through the Turok segment because Morgan Webb was hotter than usual. Love the new hair color.

Or kill everyone on the channel, that would be a more powerful statement towards those that would try to make a videogame channel in the future.
 
When the execs decided to change the format of that channel...and when they bought TechTV, it went straight to hell.

If you're lucky and live in Canada, I think it still has it's technology format and still call it G4 Tech TV

I still wanna tap Morgan Webb and Olivia Munn :D
 
G4 would be a great channel IF THEY ACTUALLY HAD SHOWS ABOUT TECHNOLOGY AND GAMING ON ONCE IN AWHILE!!!! Every once in awhile you can catch AOTS or X-Play but 90% of the time they're airing syndicated stuff like COPS, Cheaters, Arrested Development, Fast lane, etc...

Let me quote this from what I get from Wikipedia:

The numerous changes to the network's programming also brought on a storm of criticism from longtime TechTV/G4 fans, many claiming that the channel has strayed too far from its gaming roots. With most of the remaining G4 original shows having been severely altered, many see this as G4's ongoing attempt to be a competitor to other male-oriented networks such as Spike TV.

Many TechTV fans have expressed displeasure about G4's takeover of that channel, feeling that TechTV was essentially "destroyed" by G4's merger. It led to the cancellation of all but one of the remaining TechTV shows, X-Play, which currently also happens to be the highest rated show on G4. Some fans point out that the network has lost any unique identity, airing various random syndicated programming. It currently shows reruns such as Cops, Star Trek, and The Man Show.

The merger and the new male-oriented appeal has caused mostly negative reaction on the fanbase's end. There have even been "Anti-G4" websites, message boards, and things of the sort adopted to try and petition the changes - amongst other things.

So yes, some bonehead decide to compete w/ SpikeTV with "Male Interest" shows and killed the technology and video game shows that made Tech TV and G4 Videogame TV (before the merger) very watchable for me and the reason I got DirecTV in the first place.

AD is a good show. I'm just saying the channel is supposed to be for gaming and technology. They're turning into a more modern "Nick at Nite" station with all of the syndicated programs they air.

As do I, but I watch G4 for x-play, and I skim through AOTS, and only segment I watch every week is the dvduesday.
 
I dont have a video but if you watch the g4 reruns which they will do frenquently you can hear it. It thought he said so do you like it

I think that they cut to commercials more than once because I remember hearing him trying to stop them from trying to cut a few times: The Halo trailer, the press conferences, and the worst had to be when they were airing the MGS4 trailer (so fucking badass, hopefully Kojima puts it on 360 because $500 is too damn much for that system) and afterward he's speaking to the audience and telling them that it is an incredible trailer and that they just have to get online to see it. He doesn't even mention to go to G4.com or anything like that, just to get online to see it and you could tell he was pissed. I also think I heard him mention youtube or something like that.

This E3 was terrible compared to last year's, but G4's coverage of it was simply a disaster. What a trainwreck.

Yeah their coverage was a mess. I remember several times Kevin and Olivia were talking about a game and they would show a trailer for a completely different title. At one point they were talking about the new Katamari game and all of the sudden they show video for some cell shaded RPG. Kevin says "Wow this game has really changed for the next gen consoles!"

I thought she was working for MS on some webisodes thing. I think you're thinking of the lady that used to be on Screensavers back in the TechTV and was on Attack of the Show after they networks merged.
