Game Crazy does Price Matching!?

MisterNewGuy

CAGiversary!
I was in GameCrazy the other day and the guy told me, that they Price Match Stores, and they also Price Match Trade-In Values. Unfortunately I Have no way of finding this out, because everything is always sold out at Kmart. The Reciepts I Have from Kmart and Target are of games for fodder only, nothing worth price matching. Can anyone Verify this? I want to get Animal Crossing for DS Priced Matched at 9.00 from a Kmart Reciept if Possible.

*Any Chicago CAGers with a Kmart Reciept that has Animal Crossing @ 9.00 that i can borrow to try this out!!!
I know they match trade in prices, but I don't think they actually price match games to buy. I could be wrong though.
The dude told me, they price matched the games too. Thats what surprised me! So i wanna find out.

some guy told me they matched game prices when i tried to buy a xbox there, but it was sold out. when paper mario 2 came out, fry's had it for like $38 on sale. so i took the ad there and told them i wanted to price match the game. the guy looked at me like i was a retard and said they don't do price matching but only for trade in stuff.

this was years ago though so maybe they've either changed the policy or the guy was a jerk

Trade in is ALWAYS matched, even if they give you more than they resell it for.

Extremely YMMV on the price match.
Flyer, receipt, or a phone call to the store.
A receipt? Wouldn't you have already traded the game in?

I guess a phone call would work. It just seems like more hassle than it's worth for their stores.

Our store price matches Gamestop/EB prices and/or trades.
It was the same for when I worked at EB (which was before the "merger") we price matched Gamestop & Game Crazy prices.

I don't think any game store will price match KMart, WalMart, Targer, TRU, CC, or Best Buy.

My GC won't price match, but every store should trade match.

Unless you have a rare game. A game like Air Force Delta storm at GC trades in around $3, but at EB around $10 since it's rarer. GC sells the game for 7.99 used, so we can't trade match EB on that, since we'd be giving you more credit for a game that we sell for less than the amount we give for it.

Unless you get a stupid employee, GC seems to run rampant with those.

We our willing to match most prices from any store long as its a resonible amount from my experience. So for instance with the animal crossing thing we would drop it to around 24.99 max but that may just be how my Manager runs our store i don't know of any other stores willing to do that to such extent.
