Game Crazy selling PS2 Art of Fighting Collection *new* for $15!
I actually liked Aggressors of dark Combat. 3 count bout and kizuna are interersting games as well, but aggressors just had awesome characters. Didnt the saturn have a world heroes collection?
regardless of whether the games I mentioned are any good, they are obscure as anything out there (don't even qualify as "niche") and would sell about 5 copies :)

respect for the melty blood sig!

On the other hand, King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, hell, *anything* SNK puts out these days fall into the "obscure" column. Most people know Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, but don't know jack shit about King of Fighters or Fatal Fury as much as they would know about Guilty Gear or Melty Blood.

Most of the gaming population is into 3d fighters if they are into fighters as all - I don't believe any game SNK ever put out into the US has had good sales, and I'm surprised they even bother releasing stuff here anymore.

Just want until Fatal Fury hits XBLA, and plenty of 360 gamers are going to be going "Fatal Fury? What the hell is that?"

At least they've finally caught on that most people don't want to pay $30 - $40 dollars in the US for their games, and are pricing them accordingly.
Yeah, AoF was not a high point for SNK.
Yeah, it was actually. Did you go to arcades in the early '90s? Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown and even World Heroes were all a big deal back then. Yeah, those games don't really stack up these days, but to say that they were bad even when they came out is simply false.

Even though Fatal Fury is pretty much unheard of, stuff like Kizuna Encounter is relegated to the folks in the fighting thread for the most part. If you bring up stuff like Karnov's Revenge, Kabuki Klash, or Breaker's Revenge, I guarantee you that the name recognition will somehow be far less than even Fatal Fury. While hardcore gamers would've definitely heard of Fatal Fury, I seriously doubt many would've heard of some of SNK's really obscure stuff... and that shit never really made it into many arcades in the US, so nostalgia can't pay the bills for Ben Hermann and his factory of fuck-ups.

And depascal, please don't be a traitor
Thanks!:)

Tag team fighting coming in Version B.
Version B of Act Cadenza, or one of the PC iterations? Tag team would be... wow, I can't even imagine.

The PC version Of Act Cadenza Version B. which I believe will be available through places like playasia july 27th. My signature hyper links the official website. Here is the playasia link. I believe the tag system will be almost exactly like the KOF XI system, where part of your magic ciruit is used as stock. There is going to be a PS2 version as well but sadly no tag.

fuck, so another revision for me to buy then. As if Guilty Gear XX Millionaire Cash-Flow 2001 wasn't enough. So does this completely replace the original AC or is it tag only or missing something from the first game?

Ah, the plight of being a fighting game fan. I should really try and start hating fighters for my own sake.

Sorry for derailing the thread... but Melty Blood and KOF XI are much better anyway.

The original AC game (arcade and PS2) are initially the same as this version. AC version b is for the PC is actually the 3rd version of act cadenza. The others were Version B arcade and Version B correction edition arcade. This new version has all the same things that was in the first act cadenza including the following.

New Colors
Chat
Debug combo system
Brand new E button - tag and charge maneuvers
WHITE LEN as a playable character

If you want to talk about obscure, I was shocked several years ago when Capcom decided to bring the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure CPS-3 fighting game to the U.S. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I love that game. (Can you tell by my sig and avatar :) ) So much that I own both the PlayStation and Dreamcast versions. Btw I bought both the AoF collection and the Street Fighter Alpha collections today at Toys R Us. Of course the SFA collection is better but hey what can I say, I like 2D fighters.

So is anyone enjoying this game? I see everyone picking it up because it's cheap but who believes these games are still fun? I'm not bashing how great it was back in the day but how do they stand up?

AOF 2 is my favortie title when comparing to the past IMO this game is crap compared to standards to today of course but back then it was a blast. I rarely play AOF 1 and 3 on here...

Thanks for the heads up-- very happy about the PC version :D

I have no experience with the PC version of Melty Blood, so I hafta ask -- do the PC versions give you graphical options like the ability to set your resolution and stuff? Or does it force 640 X 480?

Closed, and then reopened. Wierd?

AOF AOF AOF.

staying on topic. I noticed that most of the stores in my area that were carrying this are actually now sold out. Maybe it will be a hit.

All the off topic stuff was deleted, and it got reopened.

There is a fighting thread here to talk about general fighting stuff, however (I saw you had a lot of info and love for fighters):

I haven't actually seen the game on shelves yet myself. Not that I'd buy it, but perhaps the 2 copies that stores are getting are actually selling... which would be very surprising.

Edit: I think half the posts made in this thread were deleted. Still suspicious.

Because half of the posts were completely off topic. We should follow Roufuss to the fighting thread and bash SNK America's policies even more.
