GameCrazy 3 for 15 is back, y0
Yup. The one off Karl Rd. just a short way from Kroger and Gamestop. I may try the others this week...we'll see. It's been sometime since I have done the GameCrazy Trek.

Locations I know of:

South High Street
Sawmill Rd.
Polaris Shopping Area (this is the real deal, no Hollywood Video store, games only).
Morse Rd.
Broad St., Columbus (May have Closed)
Broad St., outside of 270, towards Pickerington.

Later,
Trebuken
I hit Polaris, Morse and Sawmill this weekend. Not much added since the last 3 for 15. Still picked up about 15 games all together.
I got at my store (11550 Winton Rd cincinnati, OH):
N64:
Goldeneye (need to take back doesn't work)

Crusin USA (need to take back doesn't work)
Get a Nintendo cart cleaning kit off Ebay. I've never bought a cart game that didn't work after taking it apart and cleaning the connections a couple times with metal polish and static free cleaner.

The Michigan stores have the deal in effect. I was just there today and it still wasn't all picked through. :)

I just use a q-tip and 409, that seems to do the job too.

Thanks for the heads up. I ventured into the Austin ghetto to the gamecrazy and scored game only copies of SaGa Frontier 2, Xenogears and Final Fantasy 8 for $15! I'm still searching the different Austin-area gamecrazies to find Vagrant Story.

wish my store had those games....i need a new xenogears, my old 1 broke.

Ummmm also do gamecrazys let people trade in n64 games???I got a shitload of n64 and Snes games i want to get rid of(Also to all CAGers if you want pm me about n64 or snes games u want, i'll see if i have them.)

Thanks for the post! I got a decent haul and I plan to get more soon. For now, WWF No Mercy ($12.99), NFL Blitz 2000 ($4.99), Mario Golf ($19.99), and I intend to pick up Smash Bros., Yoshi's Story (my friend got it instead), Kirby 64, and Conker's Bad Fur Day, along with any number of SNES games.

Made a nice Genesis purchase, while not expensive games, it was still a good deal. Shinobi III with case and manual. Streets of Rage with case and manual. And Sonic 3 with the case.

Plus I have been able to fill gaps in my collection. Mario 64, Super Smash Bros for 64, Mario Golf (went back and it was still there), Excitebike 64, Brave Fencer Musashi and Legend of Legaia for PS1, and Super R-Type for SNES. I didn't expect to find even passable good stuff but there has been a good amount. I'm thinking about going back to get Banjo-Tooie and Banjo-Kazooie also, but probably won't.

I would like to find a site to be able to print CD Case cover art for the PS1 games with no case. Any links?

Thanks for the heads up about the sale!

Edit, never mind. Saw a post about cdcovers.cc
Double post
The site is on the fritz today, I can't even view CAG on Firefox.
I picked up Soul Reaver(PS1),Soul Blade(PS1) and MK trilogy(N64)

Which store(s) did you hit? I'm on vacation, so I haven't gone to the Southfield store by my office yet, but I hit the one in Westland on Michigan Ave.

Nothing too interesting in the PS1 book, and the employee couldn't even find their N64 book! :???:

It kinda looked like they may have had a decent couple shelves of Genesis games in the display case, but there were kids playing games who wouldn't move and the only store employee wasn't a big help.

I'd hate to drive to another store to ee that they only have sports titles...

Went to a local Gamecrazy off Watt Avenue. The employee did not know how to unlock the door which was a bad sign. I asked about the 3/$15 sale once he let me in and he said they had no sales going on.

I am going to try again wednesday when they might have someone else working.

yeah tried that it still didn't work so I took it back today, plus NCAA 07 (360) and my wifes DS Lite and got diddy kong racing and I'll probably pick up Taiko Drum master tomorrow.

best haul at GC in a while:

Final Fantasy VII (Black rare)
Final Fantasy IX (Black)
Parasite Eve (black - not sure if there was GH?)

all came with instruction manual, and as you see original case! :applause:

I Call BS You Fukcing NOOB...show me a reseet or i wont beleeve u

Yeah, but seriously, there are still some good ones out there. For example today I found:

SNES:

FF3
Mario Kart
Mario All Stars
SF Alpha 2

N64

Conker
Pokemon Stadium 2
Mario Party 2
Super Smash Bros

GB

Dragon Warrior 3

Not bad overall since I wasn't planning on buying anything there.

So I just got to gamecrazy today as some moron was trading in a complete Lunar 2 Eternal Blue Complete, along with a bunch of other real good stuff.. and the fucking employee LAUGHS at me, and says he gets first dibs.. so after he takes most of the stuff worth buying (he was nice enough to let me have the GH FF Tactics, which I was looking for anyway) He allows me to pick through the leftovers.

I am so sick of these mother fucking game store employees with their mother fucking superiority complexes and treating customers like shit. I'm tempted to call the DM.

Don't be a hater, most people would do the exact same thing.

I would have asked to speak to the store manager or the District manager if the the store manager is not available. The employee is buying those games at a discount, so the employee is COSTING the store profit, I'm sure any manager would frown on that. I wouldnt take shit from some kid working for $6 a hour at a gamestore or ANYPLACE.

You should've just bitched to the manager like Michaellvortega said and if the manager didn't care you should just call into the main office and complain

I would have just made the person a better cash offer on the spot if he let me buy them.

Who cares if they ban me.

And do what? Say his employee was going to buy it? It's why half the people at game stores work at game stores.. they get first dibs. If you really wanted it, you should've jumped in and CIF'ed the dumbass so he would've sold you Lunar instead of trading it in.

They had already been traded in when I got there, just out on the counter waiting to be put away. And I don't take the "everybody does it" rule because when I worked for another gamecrazy for over a year, I always allowed customers first dibs if I was working. I'd never buy stuff until my shift was over. Guess karma doesn't work.

Guess you should get a part time job there again and take advantage. If I was working at any place like that, that should be an extra incentive to work there by getting first dibs.

Wow... First dibs sucks ass. I'd talk to the manager, or call the company and complain, or send a letter, or kill the employee with my wang or something....

Anyway, The dude working at mine said they don't have any printout books of the available games, and he couldn't (i.e. didn't know how to) print one off... guh.

Scored:
Kirby Crystal Shards N64
Mario Power Tennis N64
Baseball Stars NES

saved $50!!!
best savings i've had in a long time

I don't mind employee's getting first dibs considering I have no clue how they survive on the pay they get. What I think is a bunch of crap is that most of the time they put it aside until they can pay for it at a later date. If you are an employee and can not pay right away then put it out for someone who has the cash to pay for it.

Well put

We usually find out about sales a couple days in advance so if I open on the day of the sale I will bring my money and set aside what I want if I don't open I will get there in the morning just like everybody else and get what I want.

EDIT :For instance, today I bought Taiko Drum Master, A PS2 (never had one before), and a logitech wireless controller all of those items were sitting out until I bought them at 8:30 PM at the end of my shift. I know I'm probably going to buy some more PS2 games tomorrow but I didn't set anything aside.

I set things aside for weeks at Gamestop. I consider it compensation for the asshole customers who come in and give me shit about trade in prices or...get this...I actually had someone come in, break their copy of Half-Life 2 that I sold them and then proceed to yell at me for selling him a shitty communist game (i dunno)...so yeah...compensation...

either way I think we still have the the right to complain and get what we want since we are the customer and we make the market not the employees. So I don't really care if employees get first dibs, if you get away with it without customers knowing fine thats your own choice but if you get caught red handed I would call the manager. It's a dog eat dog world out there

Amen, brother.

The only thing that situation shows is that the clerk wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Of course, the employees will take first dibs. The fact that they do doesn't even bother me...

If the clerk had half a brain, he'd have not just dumped the stuff back on the counter, and just done the traditional "Sorry, I have to have these priced, cleaned and processed before they can be placed on the sales floor."
Also for the people calling out Brian, stop being stupid..seriously. Why would he lie about something like that? He's posting because he's happy he scored on such a great deal. Why would getting those games complete be so unlikely?
I concur. Awesome finds are very much possible with this sale. (congrats to Brian)

Checked out the local Gamecrazy, and didn't see anything worth picking up from classic plastic selection. But I did spy this hanging off a peg for just $2.99...

Just the thing to complete the X'eye console I picked up at Goodwill last year. Thanks for the nudge into the store OP!

Pretty nice grab for me today:

Paper mario complete
Pokemon Crystal cart only
final fantasy anthology complete

First time I have ever seen a nintendo 64 game come complete, but still pretty freaking sweet and my girlfriend was going crazy since she LOVES paper mario for gamecube.

Just curious, what store was this at?

Youd be suprised how many old SNES and Sega accessories GC stores have.. mine had a ton in a tub in the back, you had to ask about them.. they had something to the tune of 10 DC controllers and 9 VMU's at 3.99 each.

I still can't believe there's stores out there saying the sale isn't running. You should ask to speak to the manager or DM or something, the sale's very active.

And holy WTF at someone finding a Chrono Trigger!

I believe it was on lake street, but not sure which town, maybe bloomington.....I was on my way to Stratford Mall to trade some games in to FYE. Nice little surprise I must say.

Btw Brain what store did you find Chrono Trigger at?

I hit a few more locations yesterday (both N64 Zelda's and Kirby 64, and Streets of Rage 2 and Sonic and Knuckles at another) and the first store, the guy at the register was a manager and he thought the sale was already over so he was going to charge me regular price. He had to call another location to double check when the sale ended. :???:
