Bit on Homefront :ps3:

I had to cancel my bulletstorm order last night since I had the wrong shipping address in, and CS only cancelled my order and now idk if they'll fulfill that deal or not. oh schwell.

portal 2 should have been 9.99. it's been like new 19.99 on awd for months.
i might bite for homefront tho, i dont know yet. i want to plat that, and i only have one more trophy to do that, but it's the damn super multi player every weapon 100 kills each trophy...that might take too long...

Snagged Test Drive 2! I loved the first and can't beat $10 for the second.

Homefront is worth $13 I would say. I rented it and beat it and I would say you will get your moneys worth.

Wish 360 Portal would be there. Oh well.
That would be awesome for Portal 2 to still have valid Steam codes. Anyone have experience with online pass-type games via Gamefly?
I forgot about that. Do you need a PS3 to activate it on steam? If it comes with a code and you don't need to link it to a PS3 (don't have one), could i activate the steam copy and then just give the PS3 copy to a friend.

They won't, same thing happened to me when Heavy Rain was on sale a few months ago. They just cancelled when I told them I had the wrong address, then told me they were sold out of the deal... :whistle2:(
CheapyD, was this the only week for these nightly deals or will there be more next week?
More next week!

Boo!!! the whole crappy address thing happened to my bulletstorm order, i guess now i wont be getting that order fulfilled. oh well.

Eh, nothing tonight then.
More next week!
Woot! In for Wallet May Cry! Thanks, Cheapy.

Def getting Homefront. Been waiting for it to drop to around this price. Debating on Carnival Games and Game Party though...

Thoughts?

This sale's been pretty "meh" so far. Homefront for $13 might have been tempting a couple months back, but with Gears 3 in my hands & other big shooters right around the corner (mainly Rage) I can't see myself playing a supposedly mediocre one right now.

Maybe next week!
Could I activate it on my existing account and play with my brother while I'm on PS3 and he's on his computer??
As long as you're playing on 2 different Steam accounts, then yes.
Missed a Craigslist deal today for Homefront $10, so $13 is good enough for me.
$3 is probably worth the price of the online code, which isn't a pass but lets you level up in multiplayer beyond a 5 to get all the unlocks... or something like that. My understanding is that GF is pretty good about including codes.

Hmm, that gets me to wondering about Portal 2. Should I bite and see if it comes with the Steam activation code?

There's a Home Front demo for the PS3 on the PSN that you should try before buying the game. I was terrible disappointed with the demo, and I will not be picking this one up at any cost. The graphic was just simply terrible, horrible even. I think a PS2 game can look better than this. I couldn't see anybody well enough with all the pixelation to kill anyone.

But that was the online mode. I don't know if the single campaign mode has better graphic.

With so many good shooting games out there (Crysis 2, Bulletstorm, Transformers: WFC, MW 2, RDR, Medal of Honor) for $10 now or by Black Friday, I wouldn't recommend getting Home Front at any price.

Now if you are okay with the demo (my experience was on a 1080p plasma), then by all means get the game.

Hmm. Pretty tempted by Homefront, but BF3 is only a month away. Has the game been fixed up at all since the first few weeks of release?

Thanks Cheapy for these price updates. Really tempted on Homefront, but with Gears 3 and just receiving Persona 2: Innocent Sin, maybe I shouldn't. I'm figuring we will see it again for this price or less closer around the holidays.

damn i was hopin for a
iconps3.gif
TDU2, im going to pass tonight already got bulletstorm and castlevania on the way.

damn you gamefly.

first it was brink and red faction. then spiderman came through. and then bulletstorm. and i just bit on homefront.

gamefly -- do you KNOW what kind of backlog i have? and dark souls is about to come out. stop making me spend my money on you.

Yea the online is pretty stable now

plus, if we order Homefront used from here, the project $10-insert for multiplayer shouldn't be used..(right?) I just ordered it as I can't stand not having played it yet and with part 2 announced..

I ordered Homefront. I would've preferred a $9.99 price but I can live with $12.99. This is the lowest price that I've seen it go.

Hmm...so I looked up the homefront sequel and crytek is developing it. I thought they were owned by EA but that's cool I guess....

Most games that come with redeemable codes inside the case are intact and still unclaimed, as they sit in storage until someone buys the game from them. Out of a dozen games I've bought from them, only one has arrived without the original stickers ("Don't sell before X date" and those Xbox stickers that keep new purchases sealed), and I'd assume that if no one removed the stickers, the case was never opened by anyone other than an employee, or the previous owner oddly liked keeping the stickers on. I'm fairly certain I have an unused online pass for Medal of Honor, but I can't check since I redeemed a code previously, bottom line, it could go either way for you.

On a side note, is there a page or way to be notified of nightly deal updates, or are you being notified privately, Cheapy?

If you already own content and try to redeem a code for it you'll get one of two responses (at least on Xbox.com that is): "You already own this content" which means the code is still good or "This code has already been used" (or something to that extent) which means it has been used. I use it all the time to validate game codes that I giveaway on my site (I've had a couple of people try to claim the code didn't work in hopes of getting a 2nd) so that I know they are still good when I send them.

Pretty good deals here recently. Would jump on Portal 2 now, but I can feel the $10 price point creeping up any day now. If not from GF, then probably Gohastings....and I can exercise some semi-self-control for once.

fuck it, I purchased :ps3: Homefront and TD:U. That makes three games total for the week... Not as bad damage on the wallet as I was expecting. I can't wait to see what kind of beating my wallet takes next week.

Yeah, I checked shortly after posting and got the first message, now I'll have to go about selling it. Appreciate the info. Fingers crossed that I (and everyone here for that matter) get a case for Homefront that wasn't previously returned by a customer.

Well I am going to buy :360: Homefront even though I just bought it at Amazon for $14 because that one did not have a valid code. I will just trade it into BB for $16 + promos this weekend. I am 99.9% sure Gamefly will come with a code. Every game I have bought with a code has had it in the box.

I've been wanting to play Homefront for a while but I am going to hold off, someone else can get in on it instead.

Great deals from GF though it's been an amazing week of deal from them.

Not bad; Test Drive Unlimited 2 is actually pretty fun since they fixes most of the bugs. Homefront just had a short campaign, but some fun can be had in those short hours.

Bit on :ps3: Portal 2. Came out to $13.70 after everthing was done. Hopefully it comes with a Steam code as well but I'm not gonna be picky!
