Here it comes!

Check it! -----> http://game.newyork-tokyo.com

So, last month was a huge success and we certainly have quite a few CAGers to thank for that. This month's GNG is coming up on the 26th with our pre-release feature, Spy Fiction. Exclusively just for CAGers we've got a contest to win a free copy of Spy Fiction for yourself. To enter, simply post back on this very forum. One post/entry per person. Winner will be drawn at random and shipped free of charge if winner can not attend the event to pick it up. See violet text for further rules.

Also, exclusively just for CAG T-Shirt bearing attendees, the first ten to come out will get a free gift from Nippon Ichi and GNG.

I can say straight out, that this event will no doubt be in a much smaller space than last month, but the 42nd St location and the spirits for gamers 21 and up should make up for it. All ages welcome to attend though, but of course, 21 to drink.

Party is from 8PM-12AM at The Tank-> 432 W.42nd St., NYC (btw. 9th & 10th Ave.)

That's about it guys! See you all there!

* Update *
Also, just confirmed,
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes will be in playable form at this month's GNG replacing PSO.

Eligibilty to post and win will end on 8/26 after my post of such notification. All usernames who have posted will be thrown (probably literally) into a hat on paper and will be drawn by a witness CAGer at the event. If the winner is not in attendance, Spy Fiction will be shipped to you as a courtesy of GNG. Forum will remain open after contests end to discuss the event. Cool? Cool.

The winner of Spy Fiction courtesy of Gamers Nite Groove and Sammy Studios is....

Sounds cool. Well, I hope you guys enjoy it. I don't got the time (Even if I did, I would have to travel to NY for one night, which for one night isn't worth it). I have yet to see an event of this type in Philadelphia. Once again, enjoy it.

dang, still in buffalo... won't make it down until end of sept. Hope there are other events next time. ENJOY!

It's a shame this type of thing never gets arranged in my area, because I know it would be a huge success.

C'mon Spy Fiction... Spy Fiction... no whammy, no whammy... STOP!

As fun as it would probably be to attend something like this, a full days travel just isn't in the cards for me right now. :(
There should be more (and more interesting games). What happened to Rez?
Rez, a GNG favorite, will have to sit on the B-list this month, but it just might make its way to the floor this month anyway.

We'll be no shorter on crazy visuals and insane electronic music though, check out Bubblyfish with her 8-bit beats and the new video stuff from Honeygun Labs.
Hell, I'll post here for a chance to win a game for free.
I'll do the same as I wish for more gamers in my area of KY :)

Just one update for ultra hardcore commuters, GNG at The Tank is actually just 1 and a half blocks from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. So if you're really set on coming in, just know that the spot is very bus friendly.

We had people from Connecticut and Boston before, so I thought I'd mention its bus-abilty.

ooh, gifts from Nippon Ichi... I like the sound of that.

Might have to drop by if the drinks are reasonably priced. :D

Drinks will be served by The Tank. Prices will be as reasonable as you wish to pay for them. :wink:

I went last month and I had a great time, so you can expect to see me there this month...no doubt about it
Last months was a blast! I'm definitely coming to this one. Can't wait to try out Spy Fiction.
:D Thanks for coming out last time... remember.. new place.. much much smaller, but no less games. Bring your friends!
so...this means that CAG has some sort of relationship with NIS?
This means that Mr. GNG (me) and Mr. CAG (CheapyD) are on good terms.

Mr. GNG has a relationship with NIS America, and wishes to extend a free NIS gift to CAG Shirt bearing attendees of GNG.

Everyone is then happy. :D
you really need to start hosting these things on the west coast.
sounds fair, considering the west coast gets E3..... :wink:

just kidding.

anyway man, yeah i'm sorry... personally i think all gaming events should be in like... Kansas. That way eveyone on both coasts will have to travel just as far, and the people already there can marvel at the fact that something is actually, well, in Kansas for once.

sounds fair... but... NYC will have to do for now.

You are, however, now eligible to win Spy Fiction just for your post.
I hope that will have to do for now. :)

Well, I'll go ahead and reply for the chance at the game.

If there was one of these in the Baltimore/DC area, I'd definitely go.

Sounds awesome.

I missed the Nintendo tour, and now I'll miss this one.

I can't wait for Phantom Brave, but a free NI promo item,... now that's sweet.

Thanks for the opportunity.
:)
Also, just confirmed, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes will be in playable form at this month's GNG.

Will add to roster on site very soon.
Ok, I am now going to force my dad to take me. he already said probably, but now I'm gonna make him

I'd make the trip down from Boston but I have to work that night.

Think you guys could do these things on Friday or Saturday nights? Its tough to travel after work Thursday and show up for work Friday, and it would be nice to make a weekend out of it.

Thursday is probably cheaper though.
