DEAD: Ended 8/7/06 Trade 3 or More Games & Get an Extra $5 for Each Game

Receive an extra $5 PER GAME when you trade in 3 or more games. Games must have a used price of $7.99 or more to qualify for the extra $5. Also, 2005 and 2k5 sports games and newer WILL count for the bonus.

The employee must adjust the trade-in price of the games manually, but there is an option in the computer specifically set up for this deal. It is option #2 and will say something along the lines of "Trade 3 or More Games & Get an Extra $5 for Each Game". The employee must do this for each of the games that qualify.

Was able to snag WW:Twisted, I wonder how much this trades in for. Btw, we should do a gamecrazy trade in thread. They give great credit for games also, however, never do they offer promotions.

I can't tell what you are trying to say. I was simply confirming that Ecko was still getting $19, it is expected to drop in trade in value considering that it is sold at only $19.99 at BB.

I do know about the Wiki, have you tried searching for WW:T before insulting me? Its not on there.

Oh btw, thanks for directing me to the GC Thread, I hadn't seen it.

He was referring to the Game Crazy prices being on the wiki as well, no insults.

I don't believe I saw an insult there. He directed you to the GC thread and informed you the prices were in the wiki.
 
Have you guys had any luck getting mistagged games at the 50% off price? I went looking for Megaman today and saw different errors at every store(the new Shadow Hearts game, MGS3 Subsistence and Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones) and was wondering if it would be worth it to try since they'd have to manually adjust the price. Also, are any of the old xbox live kits on sale aside from the Mechassault kit? Thanks.

I got a mistagged game 50% off - they did manually adjust it. I think it is definitely worth a shot. I mean, if they say it isn't and won't budge, you have a reasonable excuse to decline the purchase at that point.

Thanks for covering, Botticus and h2dk! AzN_BaLLeR, definitely no insult intended. I was, indeed, just pointing out that the GC trade-in thread already existed and that the prices from there are also in the wiki (not responding to any specific game values!). Though I had forgotten to put the wiki link in the OP of that thread - so you had prompted me to review that thread and update the OP.

In fact, I encourage you to post any and all trade-in values you've gotten at GC the past month, and I will add them to the wiki. The GC trade-in thread is being ignored, unfortunately. But I think one reason for that is the current EB/GS deal.
 
Lately I have had some good success just asking for games at the counter. Don't be afraid to ask about games even clearance games at the counter. They had a ds new super mario bros and ps2 baldur's gate II in the cabinets even though there were none displayed...

I saw a Crimson Skies one the other day. I imagine if they have a PGR2 one, that would be on sale, too.

Another factor could be that GC is not as widespread. Their web site doesn't let you look at a map, but I tried most of the major cities in Florida with no luck. EB/GS is everywhere, and nearly every state has at least a Blockbuster.

I'd love to have a GC nearby, though.
 
Here's the thing... almost every store now has DS Lites in stock, sitting in the back, waiting to be sold on Sunday.

If Gamerush dosen't have these by now, they probably aren't getting them or they are getting them extremely late. Tommorrow is the last day they could get them to have them on time to sell by Monday, but every other store has these in stock just waiting for the street date (or in Target's case, selling them early).

I'm pretty sure some employee would know that "Oh, yea, they are in the back, we can't sell them until June 11th. Since every employee is so clueless, I'm going to wager they HAVE NOT received them yet, and if they do get them they will be late.

I guessed that same thing. Maybe the "0 on order" that ppl are seeing in their systems is the truth. I wanted to finish off the rest of my store credit. Supposedly some EB's are doing a DS for $70 towards a lite, not sure if there are any around here doing that deal. MAybe i should find a way to turn GR credit into EB credit.
 
Are Marc Echo and Matrix:path of neo still $10 at Circuit City? I was thinking about stopping by tomorrow during my lunch break.

That DS for $70 is a promotion all EB's / GS's are doing until the 11th... you get $50 trade in credit for a DS plus $20 extra for trading it in.

I mean, it would read 0 on order if they actually had the system in the back, because then it wouldn't technically be on order if it was received, but the computer would say they had been received at that point as well.

So I guess 0 on order and 0 received means 0 are never coming? Kind of weird, but it's Gamerush, what do you expect, you know?

Nothing really suprises me with Gamerush anymore. I'm not too sure about Gamestop doing the DS deal, went to the Citrus Park & Northpoint stores and they said they werent doing anything for it. Ill try the Citrus Park EB later tonight and try my luck.

If Flatout (Xbox) is still getting $24 at gamerush then you can buy a bunch of copies from Gamestop at the b2g1 sale for 12.66 apiece (after discount with card and free game) and run them over to gamerush for a bit of credit.

I traded in ps2 bard's tale and got $9.50. Also I talked with one of the assistant managers and he said that there is a rumor that the trade 3 games and get an extra $5 total would be in July. Also he said that the games would have to get like $6 or $7 each to qualify for the deal.
 
would pgr3 and kameo be worth 28.50 and 25 gamerush credits respectively, or do u think itll be worth the effort to place them onto ebay? (-ebay fees -paypal fees -shipping fees -work to do all that crap)

also how much does nba 2k6 for xbox360 get?
 
Just got back from Gamestop, finally got a competant person and traded my ds for $70 store credit.

Not sure about the first 3 games, but Lumines shouldnt be any more than $3 credit.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up on the DS... I asked in the EB / GS thread and no one answered. I guess they'll lower the trade-in value on Monday.

I'm trading mine in tommorrow morning, so I only have to be a day without a DS.

That's alot for Bard's Tale considering the value they've dropped other $20 games (new MSRP) to... Very strange.

If it is an extra $5 total AND it has a minimum limit for trade-in value (or sale value as it usually is though they often got confused over that) then that is, indeed, very weak. EB/GS has them beat - big time. I guess I'll get rid of the rest of my trade stuff NOW at EB and not wait for GR. If they are only going to give you an extra $5 total, then that is just $1.66 per game and there is really no need for a minimum limit on trade-in value. On an extra $5 PER game I could understand the limit though.

Today I converted another Silent Hill 4 into EB credit ($9.99 at GR -> $14.73 at EB).

I never mentioned anything about BB, just GS.
Gamerush offered I think 60 but the stores in my area don't have any Lites on order.

I just read up on Contact and I see that's an Atlus RPG game. So I now know what game to preorder next using the EB/GS deal (and my last 12 or so games) to get my extra 10% as that is a near guarantee that GR won't get it in!

Goto the EB/GS thread and read the 50 or so posts that describe how to get an additional $20.

Just picked up New Super Mario DS + Big Brain Academy DS from a GR in Daytona Beach, FL...shocked that they got Big Brain in. Neither game was displayed for sale, but my wife asked at the register and they indeed had both in the back room...seems a logical place to keep new releases...
 
How much of the same title can you trade in for the EB/GS deal? The reason i ask is because my GR has a few Silent hill 4's for xbox. Would i have to go to various stores to stack up credit?
 
Breaking news...my GR just called (Daytona, FL), and they finally have the DS Lite in. Not sure how many or if they are selling them today or tomorrow, but they have some in stock. So that credit may be useful for something after all!

Going to go check it out now, will report back.

Update: my Gamerush said they are getting in 2 but have not recieved them yet.
 
NEW UPDATE:

Mark Ecko is still getting $19 but according to my local BB CSR, it is UNTRADEABLE. They will not accept any more Ecko's, atleast in the SoCal area. Please post if anyone gets different results.

Has this ever happened to any game before? The CSR stated that it may happen because the game is "too new" or "we have too many" or "just wait a while"
