DEAD: Ended 8/7/06 Trade 3 or More Games & Get an Extra $5 for Each Game

Receive an extra $5 PER GAME when you trade in 3 or more games. Games must have a used price of $7.99 or more to qualify for the extra $5. Also, 2005 and 2k5 sports games and newer WILL count for the bonus.

The employee must adjust the trade-in price of the games manually, but there is an option in the computer specifically set up for this deal. It is option #2 and will say something along the lines of "Trade 3 or More Games & Get an Extra $5 for Each Game". The employee must do this for each of the games that qualify.

75% off Select New Games & New Accessories

Please note: The prices listed are the 75% off price.

This sale is also good at regular Blockbusters (YMMV at franchised locations), but your selection there is obviously going to be limited compared to GameRush stores.

Reported Trade-In Prices

Trade-In Price Wiki
WARNING WARNING WARNING....

When I went in to trade Ecko and Driver the clerk mistakenly rang up Driver as a purchase (not sure if used or new - I'm guessing new) and it came up $19.99! So, if the new or used value is $19.99, don't expect it to trade for $19 for too much longer. I'd say you have till next Tuesday at the latest on that one. I don't know about Ecko.

By the way, no problem today at my local BB - much nicer girl there today :D.
hey, i have a question io, gamerush only updates their tradein prices on tuesdays right? so if the 20th, if the price of my games doesnt change, then i can be assured that the price wont drop from then till the 26 right?
hey, i have a question io, gamerush only updates their tradein prices on tuesdays right? so if the 20th, if the price of my games doesnt change, then i can be assured that the price wont drop from then till the 26 right?
That has been mostly true in the past, but we have seen some wierd price adjustements at other times, so I won't guarantee it :D. Plus, we have a date of the 26th for the extra $5 deal, but GR deals usually start on Tuesdays (ie, the 27th), so it might correspond with the potential drop anyway. But if things like Marc Ecko hold by the end of next week, then there's a good chance they will hold for the deal. Personally, except for maybe one copy of Nightmare Before Christmas, I'm not taking my chances.

If its a Atari game dump it end of story don't wait for the anything. IO is right driver and ecko need to be dumped monday at the latest. Echo LE sells for $19.99 new and gets $24 trade in if you need the red flag...
Saw a Magna Carta Deluxe at a GR. It was locked up and didn't have a price tag . They couldn't locate the key to open the display. .
LOL. This happened to me at Gamerush too, they keep all their 360 and PSP games in a display case, I wanted to get Lumines from out of there, but they couldn't find the key. So basically nobody can buy any 360 or PSP games from this store. Way to go, Gamerush!

Just got back from GR, and traded in a copy of Getting Up (normal) and a Nightmare Before Christmas. There are still at least 5 copies of Getting Up, and 2 Drivers left at my CC. I might go back for them. That's all that's left that's good for trade, though. I got the last NBC. I might go back and buy Indigo Prophecy and Xenosaga 2 to play though. :D

So thanks to Circuit City I now have a DS Lite from Gamerush that cost me roughly $60 in cash. Most of that was from Mark Ecko, a game I don't feel bad about hoarding since no gamer should be subjected to it anyway. There's still a copy at the Carmel/Indianapolis Circuit City if some one really wants one.

I had to hit 7 Blockbuster/GR stores before I found one that still had a Lite. Didn't really matter since I dropped off a couple trade games at each one.

so many gamerushes here but so little circuit cities :spam: :puke: Nigger
how much does the network adapter for the PS2 by itself go for at GR?
It was $22 NEW.. but that was when the 50% off sale started.

I also had a little bit of trouble with Mark Ecko LE. The first clerk said they couldn't take it and then the second clerk finished the transaction by ringing it up and telling me they would give me $24. I'd say stay away from LE; it's too much of a pain.

Got 2 Driver's Parallel Lines, Wild arms 4 and Gauntlet seven sorrows today from Circuit city. I know the trade values for all except Wild Arms 4. Can anyone here help me out with that info? Thanks. Also, how about the value for From Russia with love for PS2?

I want to say Wild Arms 4 is only $6 in trade at GR. All I remember is it isn't worth trading.

I think I might go back for a couple Driver: PL's, and a couple more Marc Ecko's (there's at least 5 left), and then pick up a Time Crisis and Indigo Prophecy, and XenoSaga 2 for myself to play.

Thanks Shipwreck for the info. You're right about Wild Arms 4. It is $6. Found that out during my GR trip today. I wanted to trade in both of my Driver-PL's but they only let me trade in one! The clerk said a note came up on the computer that said you can only trade 1 per title. I told him that the web site says 2 per title per day but he said sorry, can't do it. I asked if this manager I know was there but he wasn't coming in til later today. When he's there I'll ask him what's going on. We're friends so it should be cool. Anyway, I went to a Blockbuster and traded my 2nd Driver there with no problem.
Also, I can confirm that Gauntlet seven sorrows is worth $12
Now I'd like to find out the value for 187 ride or die as well as From Russia with love. Both for Ps2. Gracias!
The Xbox version of From Russia was getting $7.50 this week.
Also, I can confirm that Gauntlet seven sorrows is worth $12
I'm looking for a copy of Gauntlet. I think alot of CAG's are, so I would keep that or pick up more for trading if I were you. I'm trying to work out a trade with someone else right now but if I don't have anything for him, maybe we could work something up.

there were a bunch of games on this list at the CC in torrance, just not ones with a great enough trade in rating (50% margin). Picked up haunting ground and driver for trade in. Planning to use the 38 in credit towards a wii. couldnt find any Marc Ecko or flatout (biggest profit) in stock. there were many copies of driver but i grabbed the only copy of Haunting Ground.

on a side note: gas=3.00, time=1hr, cost=19.40, credit=38. 16 for an hour of deal hunting is not so bad. Time to hit the beach.

Hmm, somebody else in my area is trading in a bunch of CC games. At one of the GR stores I frequent, they throw the recent trades into a clear plastic bin; today I saw two copies of Getting Up LE and several other CC games in there. I hope they weren't all from the same person.

I think Gauntlet is no longer on sale. I tried to get it yesterday but two copies of it both scanned at 29.99. I don't know if I got hit with some weird YMMV or what, as everything else I picked up rang up as the usual $8.96.

I picked up two copies this morning for $8.96, so its still on sale.

Does anyone have any credit builders in mind if the $5 trade in bonus is per game? The only ones I can think of with a huge supply is the 3 packs of PS2 games for $10. I believe its motorcross mania 3, powerdrome, and ford racing 3. I know these things are still lying around everywhere from before christmas. If someone gets a chance check out the trade in values on the 3, probably $1-2 a game so it may not be worth it even if the bonus is $5 a game...

Dammit...I got a bad YMMV then. This was also the only CC out of three I visited than actually had the game :(

Blame it on Roufuss :p.

Flatout! Darn, that's the game I forgot to look for! I knew I was forgetting something. Ugh.

Anyhoo, picked up 3 Mark Eckos and a Nightmare Before Christmas for $8.96 each. Traded one of each at one GR, and two Eckos at the other.

The first one gave me $24 for Ecko, as he must of thought it was the LE, I didn't stop him, lol.

So, about $38 turned into just about $85 of GR credit in around an hour. Not too bad. Not my best haul by any means, but still pretty good. I wish I would have checked out those Flatouts, that could of gotten me another $70ish of profit. Darn, and I'm leaving for a week tommorrow. Ugh.

alter echo for ps2 trades in at 1.00 YAY

Went to pick up Dragonball Z Tenchaichi(?) at CC today. It was stickered at $8.96 but rang up at $19.99. They honored the stickered price though so that was cool.
Hopefully it's still worth $16 at GR.

Was too damn busy at work tonight to really look up anything worthwhile, but I did try and check a couple of things.

PS2
Network adapter- N/A (Blockbuster's, or at least mine, aren't accepting them as trades... must be GR only).
187: Ride or Die- $6
007, From Russia With Love- couldn't find it in the system, no matter how I looked for it. Sorry.

Weird about not finding From Russia with Love. Thanks for trying though. I'll be going by GR today to see if Dragonball Z Techaichi is worth $16 and I'll post the info later.

A few months ago I tried trading a PS2 headset at a couple of GRs and they both claimed that they stopped accepting accessories for trade.

I traded in Dragonball Z Techaichi and got $16 for it and Battleborne's Combat Elite: WW II paratroopers. Both for Ps2. That last game was easy for me to find at Circuit City. Have any of you had problems with the pricing of this Dragonball Z game as I'd mentioned earlier?
Has anyone traded in a 360 headset lately? I have an extra that came with my LIVE kit.
they get like 4 dollars...

on a side note, the last of my shipment of 1000 boxes just came from usps... 37 large boxes with each holding 25 priority mail boxes each and weighing in at ~20 pounds per box (they lost 3 of them apparently)...holy crap they all take up a a 7'x7' area of my garage....dont underestimate the quantity of 1000 pieces of cardboard

Game Rush no longer accepts any accessories for trade-in, according to the several GR's I visit. That exaplains why most have very few accessories left, and had a 50% off sale on them.

I had a wierd trading experience today.

I went to a podunk rural Blockbuster that is actually not too far from where I live :D. I brought a Marc Ecko LE, Driver PL, and Nightmare Before Christmas. I was quoted $14.99, $19.99, and $7.99, respectively. Then I noticed that they had a sign up for Buy 1 Get 2 free on used games and their game section had PS1, N64, and other older system games in it.

I went ahead and traded the Driver for $19.99 and it came up with a trade slip to sign at that price and everything (so it wasn't the 'new' price by accident).

What my receipt shows is that this is a "Blockbuster Franchisee" (instead of "Blockbuster Inc" as the other receipts show). So I guess they have random prices compared to the rest. I'm actually surprised they took trades at all. Then I went to another BB I've traded at before and got the customary $24 and $19 for the other 2 games. Oh well, at least I got 99 cents extra for the trouble :D (plus we wanted to check out this small town anyway and the kids got to play at a park).

Oh well, at least I got 99 cents extra for the trouble :D (plus we wanted to check out this small town anyway and the kids got to play at a park).
b1g2f??...lol must be desperate

Traded in Ecko LE, Flatout, and Haunting Ground, for the usual 24, 24, and 19 respectively. I can confirm that Driver Parallel Lines is already priced at $19.99 new, so trade your copies in quickly. But then again, Ecko still gets $19 so who knows.
Anyway I found a Metal Gear Solid Subsistence marked at 14.99, it rang up as 29.99 and they overrode it

Yeah, OK smartass, you know what I meant :D

I tried to trade in my Mark Ecko again in SoCal BB. Apparently, they did a background check on me the last time I went, (I had the same cashier, who rejected me and said the game was "untradeable"), she said the background check showed that I traded in a Mark Ecko to another BB. She wouldn't accept the trade and stated it is still "untradeable".

Has this ever happened to anyone? That CSR is a really nusience. Its not like I'm doing anything illegal, does she even have the right to fiddle through my account without my consent?

This brings back memories of last November. It seems for the most part GR doesn't really care as much as they did back then, but there are certain managers who do still look for serious flippers. They have the right to turn down any game if they choose and yes they have gone through accounts in the past. I remember quite a few cagers getting banned from dead to rights II alone.

Basically they as a place of business can look up your account and decide that you are no longer welcome to do business with them (as in you are not profitable). It is their right, just as you have right to take your business elsewhere. It has been done to others, many people have been warned and even BANNED from trading. If you want to know your rights as a trader, I would suggest reading the trade agreement that you signed.

One way to get around their ban on your trading habits is to trade at another store or have someone else sign up and trade your games on their account. Just be wary as they may be able to tell you not to come back at all. Just make sure your credit is on a value card or gift card so you can spend it at other stores after getting banned. If you leave credit on your account, they may just confiscate it back.

Any one store that you trade at can look up your history ONLY for that store. The only way they can find out that you have traded at another store is to call up that store and ask them to look up your account and see what you've traded there. So what it looks like to me is that you've got a real winner there for a CSR who has nothing better to do than harass you. I would just find another BB to trade at. However, the damage may already be done. By him/her making that phone call and finding out, they probably put a warning on your account at both stores to make sure whoever does your trades calls certain other stores first. If this is the case, consider the harassment as just beginning. Also, if they decided to take it one step furthur and contact their District Manager, don't be surprised if you get banned from trading in that District  :bomb:

Scored the last copy of Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven (PS2) for $10, and a PS2 DVD remote for $7.50, after 50% off.
