1 out = $14.99 the first month....$19.99 thereafter

2 out = $24.99 the first month...$29.99 thereafter

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

$0.99 Retro Games

All Dreamcast, Snes, Genesis, and Nes games are $0.99. Games available depend on which store you go to. Games may not be marked as $0.99, but they will ring up that price. Trade in value of all games on these systems is now $0.25.

OTHER INFO

Deals usually end on close of business on Monday and begin on open Tuesday (some special ones do start on Thursday usually around labor day, memorial day, etc.)

They also have coupons in magazines for great deals, so be sure to check EGM, GamePro, and several other magazines.

GameRush is starting to expand, so check the store locator every once in awhile to see if one is coming to an area near you.

All BlockBuster's should now accept trades, so the trade in prices for BB and GR should be similar, but normal BBs will not always have the deals that GameRush has.

GameRush accepts game trades without case and instructions and the games can be in poor condition depending on the employee.

You must be 18 and have a BB account and sign a trade agreement to trade at GameRush. If you are not 18, you can trade under a parent or guardian's BB acount, but they must sign a trade agreement.

Please be careful if you scam GameRush (by "flipping" games) they do have the abillity to ban you from all GameRush locations if they want to. Remember, discussion of "loopholes" and "flipping" should be kept in the thread linked at the beginning of this post. We've all had a year's worth of discussion on the ethics of capitalizing on the loopholes, but the fact remains - you sign a Trading Agreement and are subject to the conditions you agreed upon. If you abuse the system, chances are it'll catch up to you one way or another.

Release dates - Go by the shipping date. 9 times out of 10 it is not what the Blockbuster computer says. The computer date is when traditional stores can expect to receive their rental games.

Game Rush receives games typically on Tuesday and Wednesday of the games release. Only reason EB and Gamestop get them a day before is because they get special shipments or their dm picks the games up and brings back that evening (or they are near distribution centers).

Some games have street dates but this is few and far between (outrun 2, halo 2, star wars episode 3, doom 3 are it in the past 6 months).

Cool... I tried to trade-in the game KENGO today at a regular BB, and they said it wasn't in their computer...can anyone confirm?

Don't have the receipt, but Extermination gets 1.50 and Tenchu (XBox) gets 6-7. Extermination is 3.99 used at Gamestop, so if you need a filler title to get the trade in deal, its a good one.

Yes for a store in Indianapolis, although I'm guessing from your location that Indy's a little further off than you were looking for.

NOTE: one comment on the above prices...They are giving $3 trade-in credit for any brand Wavebird battery packs?!?!? Everyone has been reporting finding the hip Gear brand wavebird battery packs for $1. So that might be something to look into, it's only a few bucks difference but it's really strange and really stupid if you ask me.

These are Monday trade values so are subject to change tomorrow of course (but it is unlikely that any of these will change):

GC - NHL 2005: $14
PS2 - NBA Live 2004: $3
PS2 - Turok: $1.50
Xbox - Breakdown: $3

Picked up Sly 2 for $5 (normally $29.99) - continuing on my mid-priced PO purchases... Now maybe I should preorder Sly 3. Does anyone know if that is in the system? I'm sure it is as the next Jak and Ratchet games are.

I also preordered "Burnout Revenge" for the DS. I'm hoping this translates into "Burnout Legends" for the PSP, since as far as I know there is NO Burnout title planned for the DS. It just seemed odd that with all the PSP titles they have available for preorder (and they have just added Star Wars Battlefront II recently) they skipped Burnout Legends. I'm just going to assume they made a mistake in the preorder system and the NDS Burnout is Burnout Legends for PSP.

how much are used n64's at gamerush? might need to do the deal with ebgames. sort of sucks, but i wasnt able to make it to gamerush today, so i will lose $7 on my 2 trade-ins for tomorrow. thats the life of a CAGer

I know this is probably pointless .. but has anyone in the DFW area seen any of these games available at a GR Pre-Owned .. would like to pick them up before the deal ends but since it was so close feel it wouldnt hurt to ask.

Stella Deus PS2
Y's: AON PS2
Shining Tears PS2

In case anyone in the area has missed any recent games under this deal, the GR in Denton on University and Elm has SEVERAL copies of almost every new game. Had at least copies each of Advent Rising, Forza, GT4, DMC 3, Pariah, Shadow of Rome and pretty much every other new major release title. Just FYI.

Also if anyone in the area still needs a copy of SMT: Nocture, both the University store in Denton and the Glade Rd. store in Bedford had copies of the LE version as of yesterday. Might be worth checking out.
how much are used n64's at gamerush? might need to do the deal with ebgames.
I'm wondering this and how much for PSOnes as well. With the 5 for $15 if a PSOne is only 20 or so it'd be easy to make a EB profit off of GR credit. This would be almost the same as having the preorder with 2 games for $30 at GR after it ends if you already have the credit.

Judging from all the posts, I guess I'm the only one here where one BB would not allow me to trade any games that were released before 2004 (I'm talking about Halo, Mario Sunshine, FFX and games of that ilk, not just sports games being excluded)... refer to my earlier post in this thread (#283) for more specific details.

This particular BB seemed poorly managed... 3 people working (2 managers) and they all seemed confused about the deal. The three would keep arguing with each other about this deal in front of me... First they told me the deal already ended last week... Then they said the deal was back on before telling me my non-sports PS2 games were too old... Out of the 6 BB's I visited, this was the only one that didn't hang up the signs advertising the deal. Go fig.

hey i got a question..when trading 3 games and getting a game for $5.. do you still get the credit from the 3 games added to your account?.. like say you trade in 3 $30 games and get $90 store credit..then buy a game for $5.. and ending up with $85 store credit?
As of yesterday the Xbox version netted me $18!
I am guessing xmen legends drops today, if not, that is fantastic(the ps2 version is $10 at best buy AC, so this is another one of the games that is great for the trade in deals.)

I travel thrrough the area for work, so if I know which store(s) are allowing you to preorder XBox360 games, I will bring my stash with me.

Which Indy store BTW?
Yes for a store in Indianapolis, although I'm guessing from your location that Indy's a little further off than you were looking for.
total 114.xx - preordered XBX- Conker Live & Reloaded, XBX- Madden NFL 2006 for 30/ea

Hey guys. I've got two tradeable games left, so I want to do the pre-order $29.99 deal. Here's my dilemma: Conker or Destroy All Humans?

definitely Conker
Well, you might want to take a look at this.
Yeah, I saw a similar note on IGN right after I made my post. It just seems odd that Gamerush would have had "Burnout Revenge" (note they aren't calling it Burnout Legends so they are really confused) in their system (it's been there for a few weeks at least) and not many of the other DS games that are coming out for sure (like Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, etc). Whether or not a Burnout does come out for the DS, I'm sure that GR *meant* for it to be the PSP version, since that was clearly announced and shown a few weeks back. In any case, if I can't switch it, then I'll just return it after I pick it up. I love the DS but I'd much rather play racing games on the PSP.
Traded in THUG 2 about an hour ago and got $28.

Anyone know the value of Devil May Cry 3?
should be $30 since I did this last week or so.

Today I traded:

BB #1 -

Hitman Contracts(xbox) - $5
AstroBoy(PS2) - $8
Downhill Domination(PS2) - $3

Got Brothers in Arms(PS2 - mint and complete) and about $11 credit

BB #2 -

NCAA Football 2005(GCN) - $12.50
Fight Club(xbox) - $6
Beyon Good and Evil(PS2) - $5

Got Midnight Club 3:Dub Editon(PS2 - mint and complete) and $18.09 credit

Now at the second Blockbuster, the guy who rang me up asked me for $5.40 after he got done ringing everything up. So I said, "Just take it from the credit". He says, "No, the deal is that you trade in 3 games and that gives you the right to buy a used game for $5. You don't get extra credit." I said, "Listen, I've done this deal a few times already, and I know that I'm supposed to get the credit also". He said, "Yeah, that's the way we were doing it, but we have been getting killed on this promotion." He said, "I'll give you the credit this time, but I can't do it again." I said, "Fine"....and I walked out with my game and my $18.09 extra credit.

Anyway, has there been a change in the policy for this sale or do you think this guy was just trying to get one by on me because his store has been hit hard by the promotion?

I just went to GameStop and bought 6 games (B2G1 Free) for ~$30, they didn't much anything cheaper than that. Dark Summit, MGS2, Dave Mirra 2, LotR: Two Towers, X Squad, and Barbarian = $1.50 credit for each game.

I picked up Metroid Prime 2 (I need a copy to trade off) and Pikmin 2- both complete and in excellent condition and had to pay an extra $1.07 out of my pocket. So I saved about $20 altogether. Could done better if I they had newer games but the only other higher priced games they had were Playboy The Mansion and KotORII but they didn't interest me.
I heard the current deals won't make it past friday...
That's unlikely as all Blockbuster/GameRush deals have always switched over on Tuesdays. Every location I've been to has been saying the 20th.

Not true, especially on holiday sales.

All the holiday sales I remember (actually I can only remember one, and that was the 10 for $25 deal) ended on a Tuesday as well. The Memorial Day sale ran through Monday and switched on Tuesday just like every other GameRush sale. I really can't remember any other holiday sales.

This will be ending on the 20th. I beleive 20 people here can confirm thats the date they were told, including myself at 3 different Game Rushs.

Anyways, traded in some games today...

Xbox - DBZ: Saga $30
Xbox - Star Wars Republic Command $30
Xbox - Midnight Club 3 $30
PS2 - Kessen $1.50
PS2 - Kengo $1.50
PS2 - Nba Street V.3 $30

Picked up a shitload of games...

GBA - Yoshi Tilt
Xbox - Star Wars Ep. III ($5 game)

a lot of people have also been saying that there had been no notice to their store managers about it ending on the 20th, and that it would continue till Sept.

.about the csr who tried to pull one on you.
that is unheard of for them not to give you the trade in value of the game. they cant just change the rules like that unless they post a warning or notice. it may not be corporate policy and the guy was trying to steal your credit. you should watch out and talk to a manager if they try to pull this.

I asked again when I called them... different guy who was a Gamerush employee specfically for that side.

"We've heard no mention of the 20th... you think if it was ending then they would have told someone by now, as no other Gamerush or Blockbuster employee at this, or different stores has said anything".

It's oficially confusing. Called all the other local ones today to try and get a clear answer - all of them told me September. So about four Gamerush's total told me this, and other people in Orlando and other parts of FL have also been told the deal goes to Sept.

Maybe Florida is behind, like in everything else :p

here is hoping that the deals go on til september and that they come up with better deals without loopholes in the future.

how many people would rather buy from gamerush than EB or other store. my credit says GR all the way.

Honestly?

I'd rather buy from EB / Gamestop since they are knowledgable about what's going on in the store, and it's not a hassle half the time trying to find an employee to trade in games.

Not to mention the process takes at least 5-10 minutes... if you're third in line waiting to trade in games, you can expect to be in Gamerush for around 20-30 minutes in my experience while they write everything down and do all that jazz.

They give good credit, but there's not alot to spend it on imo. If these deals stop, then I stop going there. I've also been renting movies when I go there lately, something I haven't been doing in forever, so Blockbuster is getting my business twice as much.

And I don't think they can come up with a better deal than trade 3 get a PO for $5... it's just too good. The only thing that would ruin it would be a huge POX list. (Which I bet is coming in the future).

Some stores may be un-informed by there District Leader. Some DL's simply don't care and will not forward a messege to all the Store Managers.

This promo WILL be ending on the 20th no matter if a store knows or not. Now, I'm sure some still may honor it a little bit after, if they are unware, but do not expect this deal to work next Wednesday in 90% of America

We don't have GR but our Blockbuster is doing this deal and nobody there has any idea of when the deal's going to end, not even the manager.

Also, I personally prefer buying used from BB... So far, every game I've gotten has been fairy clean and in good shape and came with a manual and case insert. The only problems I've had is that a lot of times you get a crappy Blockbuster case (with the original insert) or the game's missing a manual. With GS and (B&M) EB, the condition is usually crap and no guarentee if you'll get a case/manual.

if the signs are still up, dont they have to honor it? especially if the sign says valid til sept.

i havent really bought/sold used games before GR and their deals. now that I have credit there I spend it on rentals and new merchandise. If there were a way to get dollar for dollar in credit at EB from GR credit I would think about it because EB has more games that GR will not or cannot stock. But I will still shop BB/GR until my credit is gone and with coupons floating around all the time I may still rent there because of their rental passes.

An observation: they dont stock enough copies of new movies and games. must be their tactic to force customers to buy that item they want so badly. either that or because people do not return their rentals in a timely manner since the no late fees fiasco.

The Blockbuster here usually gets at least 50 copies of movies to rent of the new ones.

I guarantee they've got a whole wall filled with nothing but Hitch.

The worst part about the deals ending on the 20th, is that I guarantee on the 21st a TON of awesome games will come out of the hold area onto the floor.

Stupid Florida laws.

if they have a bunch of games come out after the deal, cant you just use their buy2get1free. Just build up as much credit as you can before they pull the deals and you should be fine for buying used gems.
