OTHER INFO

They also have coupons in magazines for great deals, so be sure to check EGM, GamePro, and several other magazines.

GameRush is starting to expand, so check the store locator every once in awhile to see if one is coming to an area near you. :)

All BlockBuster's should now accept trades, so the trade in prices for BB and GR should be similar, but normal BBs will not always have the deals that GameRush has.

GameRush accepts game trades without case and instructions and the games can be in poor condition depending on the employee.

You must have a BB account and sign a trade agreement to trade at GameRush.

Please be careful if you scam GameRush (by flipping games) since they do have the abillity to bann you from all GameRush locations if they want to.

Well, you could go all the way back two pages and find out....

New Game Rush Deal

$10 off select new titles. Its on a barcode they haft to scan.(they should be on an endcap and there are some other titles it will work with in the map, I'll post them tomorrow if someone doesn't before me).

The ones I can name off hand are Spiderman 2 (all systems), Driver (PS2, Xbox), Duel Masters (gba), Tony Hawk Undeground 2 (all systems), and some others that are only to be put out if the others sell out (I believe MegaMan Anniversary collection is one).

It may work with just about every title in theory as it does list alternates with others sell out. (can't confirm as I am not at work).

when does it start? doesnt really sound too good, but i havent paid out of pocket for a video game (besides hl2) since september, all thanks to gamerush. cant complain.
when does it start?

It started today. Next week starts buy 2 get 1 free on preowned games.
thanks for the info. ill probably buy 3 games that i can get for 45 each and (90+CAtax=97 bucks) ill trade them in for 35 a piece, making about 8 bucks, and i can trade in another cheap ass game, so i can preorder 2 games for 35 each. this is really good to do if you have over 90 bucks in store credit.

Would anybody be willing to help a non Gamerusher hookup a copy of Forza on the preorder deal? Im losing sleep over this game so Ive got to figure out a way to get it on the cheap. SOS SOS SOS!!!
Why are you shouting out my name? Good luck on that, someone will help you out I'm sure. I'd help you if I have the time. But probably by the time it comes out, somewhere will have it for $40 or so, either online (outpost) or B&M (just somewhere...).
Yeah, Im hoping a kind Gamerushing soul will find me. Ive helped and been helped by tons of CAGers in the past although this time I really NEED it so I hope it works out.
I'm not entirely sure how we could hook you up with the deal? You'd have to send us games to trade in or money to buy games to trade in plus the remaining balance. That's not even taking into account shipping back & forth. I don't know how much you'd be saving after all this. Seems like a headache to me.
Ive got credit I cant seem to use up. Even if its $10 back and forth (wont be) its still only $10 CASH out of pocket. Otherwise Im just stuck with credit that never gets used.

I went to trade in a bunch of stuff I got from the 90% off TRU sale, but about half of it got rejected because they say they won't take PS2 CD games any more. I can't complain since I got $80 worth of credit and discounts from spending $20 at TRU, but has anyone encountered this ney policy yet?

I haven't heard anything like that here (oklahoma city area). Must be new or region specific. We've been able to take everything for regular trade credit with no problem.

Were you trying to do it with on of the trade deals? (like the trade to get preorder for 34.99)

PS2 CD games? They actually make a separate policy based upon whether the game was made on CD or DVD? What games got rejected?

That sounds odd.....hopefully this is not the end of a good thing

The rejected games were Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 and Mad Maestro, although interestingly, they did have some of those used for sale. I was trying to preorder games with the "2 for $34.99" but they said they couldn't give me any credit and wouldn't taking any more PS2 CD games. All she knew was there was a memo stating that. I could be a management thing since people typically have problems with those on their old PS2 and return them all the time. Once again, I can't be mad considering I just preordered 4 new games for a total of $100 including the money spent at TRU. I got $5 for Primal, which I purchased for $.80.

I hope this isn't a chain-wide policy because I was going to trade a couple Mad Maestro's. That is an extremely strange policy.

How much is gamerush giving for Full spectrum warrior xbox?

Also, I see in the post above that primal is getting $5. How do I know which PS2 games are cd-rom and not dvd?

Thanks,

$22 I got Scizrewed! They only gave me $8 for it tonight. I just paid $15 for it a week ago @ BestBuy and I thought that was pretty good. Oh well.

Does anyone know if the Gamerush store in Brighton, MI has any games left(SNES, DC or Genesis)? Also how is their PS selection, I want to take advantage of the 10 for $35 and get some more games. The Gamerush in Bloomfield Hills looks like it was pretty picked over. I don't live near that store, but I could make a slight detour to check it out.

I guess now's not the time to tell you that I only paid $10 for my Full Spectrum Warrior :) (it was from the Gamefly sale).

Is it too late to preorder Star Fox Assault?

Later I'm going to TRU to get some games as bait so I can preorder LOZ on GCN, and hopefully Star Fox Assault, or is it too late to do that?

Any games in their systems worth preordering?

Only games on the PS2 or GCN, please.

Gran Turismo 4?

Oh, and ymmv, but they allowed me to preorder NBA Street V3 (release date they had was 2/11 on 2/6...) so they should let you PO Star Fox, if it's at least a couple days away.

Commerce Twn, MI

Just letting everyone in the area know that our store is putting on a Madden 2005 tournament on Saturday, February 19th. There's three age groups, 7-11, 12-17, and 18+ I believe. It's free to play. Winner gets a free copy of Madden 2006. I forget the times, but I'll have those posted either tomorrow or Saturday.

There's really not too many people signed up right now, mainly some employees and their friends. Employees, however, cannot win prizes. I'm more of a 2k guy myself, so if I play I'd likely get killed.

GAH YOUR NOT GONNA BUY STAR FOX ASSAULT ARE YOU???

*shudders at the thought of ever playing that game again*

Anybody actually price-matched a trade-in price at GameRush. I remember seeing a flyer saying they guaranteed the best trade-in prices, but how does one go about making them keep this promise? I've got some games that I know FYE gives higher credit for, but I'd rather have GameRush credit. I wonder if a receipt from FYE would work.

Good to hear. It seems like everyone else is really dissapointed with this game. I have it pre-ordered at GR already though. I'm not really expecting much so I think it will be ok.

I hope GR applies the "bonus 10" credit deal that GC and EB are offering, but if not, I'll just take some TRU games to trade in to EB.

Whatever happened to your haul being "for family?" :p

Kidding.

Anybody have any luck pre-ordering Wanda and the Colusses. They couldn't seem to find it in there system. Even the guy at EB games couldn't find it.

I'll probably try towards the end of the deal. Hopefully they will have it then. If not I'll either get DMC3 or God of War.

Well, I was able to pricematch trade-in prices at two Blockbuster's using an FYE receipt. One gave me the exact trade-in price and the other game me 10% more. I'm not sure what Blockbuster's policy on this is, but I was fine with both. Oh, and one store said that the receipt must be within 24 hours of the pricematch (this seemed like it may vary by store).

corycubed, which store in okc do you work at... (i would like to come in there since you sound like you know what you are talking about)

There is no chance it will be listed for awhile. Last few things released about it guess at a late Summer/Early Fall 2005 release but we haven't had anything close to an official date. The game isn't even done yet last I read a week or two ago. It is, like Ico, far more likely we will get it first over Japan but still it just gives us a second half of the year ballpark to work with. Hopefully we get a date soon though.

SquareEnix better give out a date for Radiata Stories US soon too. It and Wanda are the only games I really want this year but the damn credit burns a hole in my pocket.

hey..i asked this over at the TRU thread but I bet i will get a stronger response over here.

Does anybody know the trade-in value for "Primal" f/ PS2. I have an extra copy out of the TRU deal and I'm looking to unload it.

Also eternal darkness would really help me out. I bought a replacement for the copy I already have at TRU and want to dump my older bookless copy.

Thanks to anybody who knows!
corycubed, which store in okc do you work at... (i would like to come in there since you sound like you know what you are talking about)
It's really Warr Acres...NW 50th and MacArthur.

Just a slight heads up on a Game Rush deal in the future. I saw it on the notes our DL gave the store managers.

Trade 5 get any preowned game for $1.00. (seemed similar to the trade 3 get 1 for 10). The paper said in March coming soon so we'll see. I'm sure it will have all the restrictions though (no sports, etc.)

I work tomorrow afternoon-evening, so I'll check on that new trade 5, get 1 preowned for $1 deal. I really really really hope it is true. Plus, if we keep the same restrictions we've been having lately, that means that it will still be possible to find quality new release games preowned.

Primal will score like $1.50 in trade. At EB it'll only fetch .50 cents!!

primal is only 1.50 now?

I traded it in 2-3 weeks ago and it got 5.00

but at eb if you trade in one more you get an extra 10 so it depends what you want to do with the money

thanks a lot lucky....so it will be good for the pre-order deal they have going on there and help me towards a decent price for DMC3..thanks
Primal still fetches $5... at least it did on Tuesday of this week.
I got Primal from the 90% off TRU sale on Wednesday for $1.50. I have some store credit to EB and I knew they had the "extra $10" deal going on so I called and asked. They said .50 cents.

Since that was so little, my curiosity got me and I called GR......I'm 89.76% sure they said $1.50.

Just got back from Gamerush, thanks to this post scored 3 pre-orders, with $12.63 left to spare! Pre-ordered Star Wars Republic Commando, God of War, and Devil May Cry 3. Here's what I traded in for anyone interested.
XBOX - Need for Speed Underground 2 - $30.00
PS2 - Extermination - $1.00
PS2 - Italian Job - $8.00
XBOX - Burnout 2 - $10.00
Cube - Red Faction 2 - $8.00
XBOX - Burnout 3 - $30.00
XBOX - Mortal Kombat: Deception - $30.00
