OTHER INFO

They also have coupons in magazines for great deals, so be sure to check EGM, GamePro, and several other magazines.

GameRush is starting to expand, so check the store locator every once in awhile to see if one is coming to an area near you. :)

All BlockBuster's should now accept trades, so the trade in prices for BB and GR should be similar, but normal BBs will not always have the deals that GameRush has.

GameRush accepts game trades without case and instructions and the games can be in poor condition depending on the employee.

You must have a BB account and sign a trade agreement to trade at GameRush.

Please be careful if you scam GameRush (by flipping games) since they do have the abillity to bann you from all GameRush locations if they want to.
Primal got me $5. So did Butt Ugly Martions and Virtua Tennis for GBA which were $1 at TRU
Same here at GR: $5 for Primal and Virtua Tennis(both $1 at TRU). They offered $11 for Gladius GC($5 TRU), $7 Wild Arms 3($3 TRU), $8 Harry Potter and the Sorcerors Stone PS2($3 TRU), and get these $12.50 Deerhunter PS2 ($3 TRU) and $17 Lotus Challenge XB ($2.50 TRU).

I picked up my preorder for Champions of Norath: Return to Arms today but I am having second thoughts about the game based on mediocre reviews. If I no longer want the game what is the best course of action? Can I return it and get a credit and for how much or do I need to trade it in at $30 value? I know my GR frowns on cancelling preorders and that's why I have the game now. Any ideas? I'm sure someone has done this or it has been posted before but any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Anybody have any luck pre-ordering Wanda and the Colusses. They couldn't seem to find it in there system. Even the guy at EB games couldn't find it.
There is no chance it will be listed for awhile. Last few things released about it guess at a late Summer/Early Fall 2005 release but we haven't had anything close to an official date. The game isn't even done yet last I read a week or two ago. It is, like Ico, far more likely we will get it first over Japan but still it just gives us a second half of the year ballpark to work with. Hopefully we get a date soon though.

SquareEnix better give out a date for Radiata Stories US soon too. It and Wanda are the only games I really want this year but the damn credit burns a hole in my pocket.
Thanks for the info. That kinda sucks. I was really anticipating the game after just finishing ICO. Oh well, I guess I'll go with DMC 3.

If its still sealed you might be able to do a straight up exchange for another game.

i also had it pre-ordered from way back when. I played it for about 30 mins. Its a great game and all its just that after playing the first one so much, I was pretty bored with this one pretty quick.

Hmm, GR gives way better prices than EB, what do you get for Eternal Darkness and R:Racing Evolution?

Universal Studios and Mojo are EB bound though, with the bonus 10.

Hey... this is great. I'll save the TRU games I was going to take to EB for this deal... 5 $2 games and a buck is a great deal!!!

thanks!
Just a slight heads up on a Game Rush deal in the future. I saw it on the notes our DL gave the store managers.

Trade 5 get any preowned game for $1.00. (seemed similar to the trade 3 get 1 for 10). The paper said in March coming soon so we'll see. I'm sure it will have all the restrictions though (no sports, etc.)
Exactly what I was thinking.

Off topic. How do I get the lines around the quote/previous post I am responding to so that I can clean up my posts? Do I just underline the text?

push the "quote" button on the upper right hand corner :D

a bit offtopic, but if my toysrus has unreal championship, will they definately be selling it for $1, or do the prices on games vary by TRU

Just got back from one of Charlotte's many Gamerush stores. (according to their web site, there are 10 in Charlotte alone?!?)

Anyways - wanted to post my trade in prices to help with the list.

SW: Battlefront (Xbox) - still $30
Burnout 2 (Xbox) - $10
MVP Baseball 2004 (Xbox) - $8

With my $48, I grabbed NBA Street V3. I know it was $10 cheaper at CC, but paying $5 out of pocket was a better deal at the time.

R-racing for cube is getting $3 I do believe.

Traded in following towards GR pre-order deal:

Buffy 2 Chaos Bleeds (PS2) = $8
R: Racing Evolution (PS2) = $5
Splinter Cell (XB - Platinum Hits) = $3
Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance (XB) = $1.50
anyone know the trade-ins for eternal darkness, zapper, drake? Thanks.
Zapper gets you $3

Do you think it would be better to trade in my two copies of ED into GR as opposed to EB (with the bonus 10)?

Zapper for GC is getting $7 when I checked on Friday. Was able to do a pricematch today on two trade-ins. I couldn't get the full value of Motor trends price match (18.50) because they sell it for 14.99, instead they gave me $14.00 which is double of what they normally offer ($7). I got Quantum Redshift's value bumped up to 7.50 w/o any hassle instead of the $3 they normally offer.
Do you think it would be better to trade in my two copies of ED into GR as opposed to EB (with the bonus 10)?
You probably could swing by toysrus and see if you can get a couple more cheap games for a supposed upcoming deal of "Trade in 5 get a preowned for $1". Or maybe you can do the preorder deal? I think at EB youll probably get 12-13 tops for those trade ins. At GR that could go towards your preorder or another deal. Its all about what you like though.
So is the trade 5 get a preowned for a buck deal going to happen? If so when?
Roughly March (could be late late february but no later than mid march)

TRU is pretty much all out of games, and I have six games to trade into EB, for the bonus 10, so, getting 30+ for those games I spent 20-something on will be great.

I decided to just trade them to EB, I hope they have Star Fox Assault tomorrow.

I was going to preorder the new Zelda at GR, but, I passed on the idea since I know EB or GS will have some really cool preorder bonus, and on a Zelda game and bonuses, I don't mind spending 50.
Not to be a boob..does anybody know the tradein value for Ghost Recon 2?
Im thinking anywhere between 25-30
I've got three copies of Metroid Prime that I want to trade in. Does anybody know the trade-in price for that game? Thanks.
I'm pretty positive you'll get 7-8 dollars for each copy.

Thanks, Nephets. I can only trade two in a day, correct? Also, these are marked with the "K-Mart Exclusive, Wavebird included" sticker. That won't matter, will it?

Amen to that......that's the only hitch when pre-ordering games, you have to think about the bonus, who has the best bonus, and will the store have them? On a Zelda game..take no chances!!

I ordered the Zelda at GR.....paid only $22 (of credit I already had) using the preorder deal and 2 crappy, cheap games traded in......if a nice preorder comes along, there's a chance GR will get it....if not I always have the option of cancelling my preorder and getting back the full $50 plus tax credit. It's a beautiful thing.

I personally wouldnt worry about it. Gamerush has been really privy lately to preorder bonuses (Oddworld, Xenosaga II, etc.). Plus, this is Zelda and Nintendo we are talking about. Their preorder bonuses were offered at Circuit City and Best Buy for crying out loud. And we all know the only preorder bonuses worth getting are official ones from Nintendo. I could care less about some exclusive keychain or something from Gamestop. So I say, lock in that Zelda price at Gamerush now!

wow, gamerush had the preorder dvd for xenosaga 2? damn, i would've preordered the game :x

It's still too early to decide it for me, I mean, the game probably won't be out until Novemeber or later. I will get it on launch, full price or not, but I'm not hoping for a keychain, I'm hoping for something like the Zelda OoT/MQ bonus disc you got for preordering the Wind Waker.

Maybe a disc with more Zelda franchise info, with a demo of the game on it, or just something really cool.

And no, Lord Alfred, it shouldn't matter at all. You don't even need the boxes or manuals to trade in games at GR.

I'm sorry if this question has already been asked, but does Gamerush accept multiple copies of the same game. I have 8 copies of Primal I need to unload.
I'm sorry if this question has already been asked, but does Gamerush accept multiple copies of the same game. I have 8 copies of Primal I need to unload.
I think max is 2

You can always trade in the copies, more than 2, at different visits at different GR's. But two per transaction is the limit.

Anyone know the trade-in value of Tales of Symphonia (GC) and TimeSplitters 1 (PS2)? Thanks for any info. My nephew traded these in along in with NBA Street 1 (GC) a few weeks ago (around the time RE4 came out) to get a copy of RE4.

The reason I ask is because my sister has this boyfriend who told my nephew it would be half his game and half my nephews' game, if they did the deal (Trade 3 get it for $29.99). But see, All 3 games were my nephews' and if he used all the credit he got from them, it should be Mostly my nephews' game and only a small part of her boyfriends (if any at all). Her boyfriend probably paid less than $9, if that. Pisses me off that he said it could be half his and half my nephews' game. Asshole!

And the other thing that pissed me off, when I asked my nephew what games he traded in, he said Tales of Symphonia. When he said that I got all depressed, but I'm over it now. He was stuck on the game and never played it. I haven't got around to actually playing my copy except a few times. And that's a game that I got in the Trade 3 Get one for $9.99 deal. I traded in some cheapo psone games. I had a copy of ToS and I gave my nephews a copy. The copy I gave them, pretty sure that was the copy I got on my birthday last year.

I think NBA Street 1 got $5 most likely, cause that's how much I got the other week for mine. TimeSplitters 1 probably got less than $5. And ToS probably got around $20/$25, I'm assuming.

I asked one of the GameRush guys (one that is usually on the ball) about the trade in 5 and get a preowned for $1....he said he hadn't heard anything about that. He also didn't think they were taking preorders on PSP still yet either, not that I care since it's $250 and I have no interest in buying one at the moment.

That sucks.

Skies of Arcadia and Tales of Symphonia are probably the best RPGs on Cube for sure.

I just blazed through NBA Street 3 in like 4 days--you can beat it in a rental in it's entirety.

Is Gran Turismo 4 available for Pre Order?

Thanks fellas.

Yeah, you can preorder GT4, I really don't have much interest in racing games, but yes, it can be done.

And NBA Street games are all about replay value, I'll definitely buy it after the NBA season is over (or near the end) when the price of the game sinks to 20-30.

I ended up getting $7 a piece trade-in for the Metroid Primes. That means I got my Wavebirds for $13 apiece. Not bad.

Thanks for all of the help, Nephets.

Last weekend was a pretty good haul:

SNES:
- StarFox
- Street Fighter II Turbo
- Final Fight
- F-Zero
- Smash TV
- Home Alone 2 (figured I might as well because of the B1G150OFF)

Dreamcast:
- DOA2
- 1 Preowned system

Along with a bunch of $4.99 games that I'll trade in over at EB... (especially nice since the employee wasn't too sure what he was doing and scanned the 50% off tag more times than he should have)
99 cent Dreamcast games? I am soo there dude. Thanks for the heads up!
Good luck finding anything by now, luckily over a span of three GR's a few weeks ago, I managed to get Space Channel 5, RE3, Virtua Fighter 3, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2.

And no problem Alfred, it was my pleasure to help. :D

Whenever I go into a GR I see tumbleweeds rolling by.
