CAGiversary!
ALL INFO AND DEALS FOR GAMERUSH (pm/post with any suggestions)

If your in the Oklahoma City area stop by my store at Nw 50th and MacArthur (for now). If your a flipper/scammer at least spare my store the crap titles unless its for presales...thanks. If your good I may hook up with with a special "modification" to a current deal that you may greatly enjoy...

Please note in the next few weeks I will be changing stores to Hefner and Rockwell. They needed the help and while I like my store the pay raise was justifiable and my current sm is moving to pittsburg.

Current Deals

Trade 3 games get an extra $5 per game (LAST DAY IS MAY 16!)

Beginning March 15th till May 23rd, trade 3 games get an extra $5 per game. PSP, NDS, GBA, Xbox, Gcube, and PS2 only. No sports games before '04 and no Freestyle Street Soccer, or minigames/demo discs (the usuals). Also be aware some titles that sell for $4.99 may not work either (Haven, Project Eden, etc.) So don't get upset when they don't.

You may be limited to 10 per day though YMMV.

Trade 2 games and get New Releases and Pre-Orders for $29.99 til September 5th (subject to change)

Should go till September 5th. New releases and Preorder games only $29.99 with 2 game trades (see exclusions above or aka the usual).

Buy 1 get 1 50% til close of business May 16

This works on all preowned games including retro/n64. If any employee disagrees they can call my store at 1-700-22-40049 (not many people know about it but it calls the store in the company by the last 5 digits store code).

Buy 1 Preowned game get another 1 for 50% off. Takes off lowest priced title so separate and make sure employee scans your groups and barcode seperate.
Price and selection will vary by location and quantities are limited. Offer not valid on previously rented movies, sale items or in conjunction with any other discount or offer. Discount taken at register and will be applied towards lowest price games(s). Customer responsible for applicable taxes. Limit 2 per title per customer per day. Maximum of 20 Pre-owned games per customer per day.

1 out = $14.99 the first month....$19.99 thereafter
2 out= $24.99 the first month...$29.99 thereafter

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

$0.99 Retro Games

All Dreamcast, Snes, Genesis, and Nes games are $0.99. Games available depend on which store you go to. Games may not be marked as $0.99, but they will ring up that price. Trade in value of all games on these systems is now $0.25.

OTHER INFO

They also have coupons in magazines for great deals, so be sure to check EGM, GamePro, and several other magazines.

GameRush is starting to expand, so check the store locator every once in awhile to see if one is coming to an area near you.

All BlockBuster's should now accept trades, so the trade in prices for BB and GR should be similar, but normal BBs will not always have the deals that GameRush has.

GameRush accepts game trades without case and instructions and the games can be in poor condition depending on the employee.

You must have a BB account and sign a trade agreement to trade at GameRush.

Please be careful if you scam GameRush (by flipping games) they do have the abillity to ban you from all GameRush locations if they want to (and as I have done but that was only because I was tired of crap PS1...).

Release dates - Go by the shipping date. 9 times out of 10 it is not what the Blockbuster computer says. The computer date is when traditional stores can expect to receive their rental games.

Game Rush receives games typically on Tuesday and Wednesday of the games release. Only reason EB and Gamestop get them a day before is because they get special shipments or their dm picks the games up and brings back that evening (or they are near distribution centers).

Some games have street dates but this is few and far between (outrun 2, halo 2, star wars episode 3, doom 3 are it in the past 6 months).

Anyone know the price of the Memory Stick Pro Duo cards at GR .. have a load of credit and need a card but havent checked the prices there.
Anyone know the price of the Memory Stick Pro Duo cards at GR .. have a load of credit and need a card but havent checked the prices there.
I think they were marked as such at my GR:

256mb $54.99
128mb $44.99

Both are the San Disk brand.
Anyone know the price of the Memory Stick Pro Duo cards at GR .. have a load of credit and need a card but havent checked the prices there.
Can't remember the exact price, but lets just say pretty damn overpriced. Also, I don't believe they carry the 512 nor the 1gig.

crap .. you can get the 512mb for about $60 everywhere else I was hoping it was about the same .. guess I will have to fork out cash anyways.
i believe that they do price match. on one of their flyers i saw the they'll pricematch plus 15% if you have an ad. can anybody confirm?
Nope, called 3 local gamerush's. They all said they don't do it anymore. Meaning they did before :/
Can't remember the exact price, but lets just say pretty damn overpriced. Also, I don't believe they carry the 512 nor the 1gig.
they will in 2 weeks, but that shit is going to be way overpriced, 1 gig=149.99, it's in their system
Does anyone know recent trade-in values for the following?

Project Snowblind (ps2)
Jak 3
NBA Street Vol. 3

Thanks in advance...
i think project snowblind fetches 30-35 with the extra $5
Went to GR today... They told me I couldn't exchange my pre-order for another game of the same price. How stupid is that? I mean, If I pre-ordered the other game - The price would of been the samething right????
I really don't get it. It's not like I hoard or take advantage like some of you guys. You would think they could treat me better after spending over $1000 in that store this year so far. Plus I traded in my Nintendo DS and an insane amount of movies, they got damn near every ps2 game i ever had ! No respect at all. Maybe I should start flipping games and then they'll have an excuse to treat me that way.
just bitch on the customer service number they have in the store. no reason they should give you slack about that. i do it whenever i change my mind and it's never an issue.
I think they were marked as such at my GR:

Weird at my store they are $49.99 and $39.99 respectively.
That's more than likely the case, as only the Sony titles have an MSRP of $19.99 (except House of Flying Daggers; that's supposed to be $28-$30); the rest carry the ridiculous $30 tag. Of course, if they were supposed to be on sale, that's another story... ;)
They must be missed priced or something, because i had them scan kill bill vol 1 and the house of flying daggers and they both rang up 19.99.

Reminder to all metro Detroit CAGs:

I'm working this Saturday and Monday at the Gamerush in Commerce Township on the corner of Richardson and Union Lake, probably 12-6 each day. If anyone's looking to double dip, I don't have a problem with it. I'll be leaving for Japan on May 8th and won't be back until after the extra $5 deal ends, so if you're looking to preorder a few more games while you can still double dip, please stop by within the next few weeks. Thanks to everyone who has dropped in the store!

Anyone seen Raze's Hell at GR? IGN gave it a 7 saying that the difficulty was insane. I've been wanting to check this out for a while and at $20 I figured what the hell!

Does anyone know if any of the stores in the Charlotte, NC area will allow double dipping? I may end up driving out from Chapel Hill and would love to know in advance. Thanks!

i live here in davidson, 20miles N of charlotte, and the 3 i've been to in huntersville and concord, don't allow it. I haven't tried any in charlotte proper, please tell me if you find any that do. Good Luck

I got $16 (with bonus) for Xbox Powerdrome on the 19th - so that should be the current trade-in value till next Tues at least.

I know CircuitCity.com has Powerdrome in stock for both systems now....you could load up on a few to get free shipping. I have the PS2 on the way....this was before the XBOX one was available. Oh well...no biggie. I have a few to trade in now....

I traded in a few more today to a regular BB:

Got $6.50 for Serious Sam PS2 after bonus - not really worth it as I got it for $5 at Target.

Constantine ($23) , Digimon Xbox ($19), and Room Zoom Xbox ($8) holding as normal...

The cool thing was that they had a Super Mario Sunshine figure pack for $4.99 (so, cost to me about $2.50). My kids are thrilled. It was nice to find something to spend the credit on!

Good day, I must say.
Haven't been to this topic in a while...what's the sitch on the echo night beyond trade in and price at ebgames.
EB raised the price to 22. Dunno if the pre-owned price has changed.

Todays trades, all with the $5 bonus included:

GBA Incredible Hulk $14 (1.99 from CC!)
GBA Virtua Tennis $10 ($1 from TRU 90% off sale)
Xbox Powerdrome $16 ($5 from CC)

I was able to double dip, so I pre-ordered Hitman Blood Money. Essentially then I'm getting Hitman for free, since I paid $8 for those games, which I turned into $40 credit. Hitman cost $32 including sales tax, so the $8 credit cancels out the $8 I initially spent. Gas, time, and effort not included :)

BTW their computer had an August release date for Hitman, I remember reading June a while back, but there you go.

PS2 Jak & Daxter $10
PS2 Socom: US Navy Seals $8
PS2 Powerdrome $12 ($5 from CC)
PS2 Test Drive $12
PS2 Midnight Club 1 $8
Xbox Powerdrome $16 ($5 from CC)

Also was able to double dip! :)
Haven't been to this topic in a while...what's the sitch on the echo night beyond trade in and price at ebgames.
Your like two weeks late on this deal but I will explain anyway. Echo Night Beyond was on sale at EB for $9.99 and the trade in value at GR/BB was like $25 bucks. So, if were able to pick up a few it would have been worthwhile.

Yeah I actually picked up two of them a few weeks ago, was just wondering if you could still do it.

Went today to two different Blockbusters to trade in several things before any more price drops (and before I go on travel next week). Everything is the same as it has been for a few weeks (WITH bonus):

Xbox and PS2 - Constantine $23
PS2 - NBA Live 2004: $10
PS2 - Robin Hood: $13
PS2 - Powerdrome: $12
Xbox - Room Zoom: $8
Xbox - Digimon Rumble Arena: $19
Gcube - FInal Fantasy CC: $16

Now I've got way more credit than I know what to do with. They need to add more to the preorder list soon! Plus I hope they start getting in good PSP and DS accessories. I can't take either on my trip because I don't have good cases/screen protectors for either. I should have waited on the 512MB memory stick I ordered from Newegg. It's going to be about $55 after rebate, but I could have done better at GR even if they priced it at $80 or so.

I did 3 more games today *all prices after the +5 dollars*
Oddworld : Strangers Wrath $31
X-Men Legends still @ $30
Kingdom Under Fire: Crusaders $13
------------------------------------------
Total of $74 + 169 from previous outing. Ended up cashing in my credit for a psp. I paid around $25 out of pocket for it.

How come so little people taking advantage of the Gamestop's current B2G1 free preown deal and return them to GR for +$5? I did this the last time these 2 deals overlapped and made out pretty good to buy the PSP. :)

I'd be doing it if the closest Gamerush wasn't a 40 minute drive.

well I started to, but AFAIK in my area the deal is buy 1 get 1 50% off, hard to profit on that one

Never mind, I was thinking Gamerush, but then again Gamestop doesn't have many cheap games anymore, everything seems to me $10 bucks or higher
sos how come you dont pass by the store anymore? what games do u usually get at gamestop?
I'm on a leash right now lol; I've had 2 tests back to back in the past 2 weeks and I have one more coming this Wednesday. So I told myself no games until I'm done w/ all the tests. I want to get MC3 though after I'm done.

Last time around I got RTCW, Tenchu, & DOA3, for XBox and Unreal Tournament & Hitman 2 for PS2. These games ran about $9 - $10 preowned at GS. With the 10% discount I was about to get them all for about ~$19 for 3 games (1 being free). They all had a trade-in value of $13 (w/ +$5) back a month or so ago, so I would get $39 for them. But since that was a month ago, I dunno if the prices changed at GS and if the trade in values changed at GR. I did this all before the Echo Night/Powerdrome/Constantine gold mine :)

Because I don't wanna spend that much real money getting dominated by Gamestop...but I'm going there today to check out if they have any cheap ass games. Credit at Gamestop is harder to get (i.e. more expensive since they don't give you a lot in trade and they don't have very good trade deals).
any1 know what sonic mega collection plus for xb gets? Thanks
I'd say $8 before bonus, like most $20 games get.

I just sold GR a couple more PS2 powerdromes and Iridion 3d for GBA. However I was able to get the $5+ bonus for the powerdromes though Iridion would not have a $5 bonus apply since they apparently dropped the selling price on that game. The trade in value was $1.50 w/out any bonus. I didn't care that much since I bought the game for $3 at EB.

I just was supprised that a game with a base buyback price of $1.50 no longer qualified for the $5 bonus. The powerdromes were still $12 after bonus though. So -$11 out of pocket at circuit city + -$3 at EB = -$14 outlay traded for $25.50 Blockbuster credit: +$11.50 net gain. Not terribly profitable and I think I'm going to scale way back on my puchasing to trade now that GR apparently is deviating more and more from their old stable buyback price charts.

Does anyone know if you can turn in more than 2 copies of the same game under the same account and still get the $5 bonus? The reason I ask is that I'm stuck with 2 Devil may cry that my friend didn't want to buy from me. But I had already turn in 2 DMC just last month. Sorry if this been mention before, but I tried looking in this thread, but didn't find it.
Is Far Cry: Intincts Xbox available as a preorder? If it is I will order it next time I trade.
I saw it on the list at my gamerush

I believe the limit is 2 copies of the same game per day.

Does anyone have a list of games that WON'T work with the $5 bonus since they sell them for too cheap? Today I couldn't do Virtua Fighter 4 (not EVO) or Stuntman which I picked up at Gamestop's buy 2 get 1 free used game deal. Wasn't a problem as I used them towards new game for $30 deal. Just curious if anyone knows of other games that I may see cheap at Gamestop that won't work at Gamerush.
