Game Pass

Rent unlimited games for a month. You can have one game (or 2 depending on the pass) out at a time and can return it whenever you want and switch it out as many times as you want.

1 out = $14.99 the first month....$19.99 thereafter

2 out = $24.99 the first month...$29.99 thereafter

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

they should be, it seems to be a publisher offer since both bonus games are also included if you were to order direct from ubisoft == check out ubisoft.com

I already preordered farcry at GR, but no mention of R63. Would I get it at time of preorder or pick up?

Wow... I thought it was bad enough when EB didn't offer the Spliter Cell bonus for the GC version. But now that I see it's a publisher's bonus that doesn't get attached to all versions, that just sucks. You'd think that, even if they don't like the GC or expect it to do well, since they spent the money to build the game, that they would want ot encourage sales (i.e. have a bonus offer). But i guess not.

there are 3 possibilites

1. you get at time of pre-order
2. you get when gr receives item post-pre-order and pre-game delivery
3. you get at time of game delivery

obviously it varies depending on what the distributor does

in this particular circumstance, i would check ubisoft.com to see what they are doing and then contact gr and see what you can do

Hmm... I thought this went until October? Can anyone find a solid end date? Might have to find another cheap game and a good value game soon for one more preorder.
 
Thanks for the link and info andrew and aaa. I think GR would probably handle the bonuses similar to the Midway promotion, where you get the free game when you pick up the preorder. The free game also might have the "Not for resale" on the cover and disk.

Actually I would not be suprised if there is a shortage at Christmas. I was able to sell a new PSTwo system this last christmas for $245 + 20 shipping.

What is soon? Will it still be good next week? I wanted to get a few more in (hopefully after they fix Fire Emblem and add some more of those GC games).

Also, can someone ask if they have PSP PoPoLoCrois available for preorder? And at what price it will retail (EB doesn't have it)? I'll do that one if they don't add any of the GC games.

I decided not to go for Zelda and got Burnout 4 instead. While there I saw a sign that says the 2 4 $30 deal will END Sept. 1 It pisses me off beause now I gotta get 2 games to trade in (so I got to rush to beat them) so I can preorder Spartan.

Also, I swear youre always talking about making new preorders! How many damn games you got pre ordered so far? lol

I hope after this new deal someting better comes. Or it returns right before Zelda. Thats the only game I care about.

I just really want to preorder Super Mario Brothers DS and Mario and Luigi 2. Even if I only save $5, it is better than nothing. I have no interest in console games for this generation. Just PC and DS for the next 3 months.
 
Has anyone come across any of the $5 or $10 cheapies at various stores that qualify for the trade-in deals (retail for $7.99 used at GR)? I'm just looking for something I can throw in to get the extra 25%.

Hmm... better yet, anyone know about NCAA 2005 for GC? Picked that up for $5 at BB a while ago, still haven't played it yet. MIght rip it open this weekend to see if it's worth keeping.

Metal Arms is $5 at Best Buy with coupon, and gets you $3 after bonus. There are probably better choices, but I just did this one this past weekend.

GC Rocky at TRU for $5 I think trades for $5. Midway Arcade Treasures 1 for PS2 is a better Best Buy candidate than Metal Arms - it trades for $7. Beyond Good & Evil (also $5 at Best Buy with coupon) got $5 a while back, anyway.

NCAA 2005 for GC used to get $12.50, but when I traded it in about 2 weeks ago, it only got $7.50. But it might be one of those ones from the CC clearance (since it was also part of that in addition to being $5 at Best Buy) that jumped back up last week.

Oh great, now you've reminded me I want to preorder these as well! I did not ask about these 2 when I was there, so if someone else could do that (and also PoPoLoCrois as I asked before) it would be much appreciated (drfrielgood, do you know about these?).

Don't ask :D. I have WAY too many (though not nearly as many as some on here have professed in the past). It is just too tempting with this $29.99 deal and their great trade-in values not to preorder anything that I might think there's a chance I'll like. ESPECIALLY, now that the $29.99 deal does not apply to already released games (thus can't wait for reviews). I'm sure I will end up either returning or simply trading back in at least a few of the preorders I have made. In fact, I'm considering doing this with Death Jr when I pick it up next week. Don't like the reviews on that one, and I don't have time to play it anyway. The good news is I'm catching up on some of my DS games while on my current trip!

I also want to start putting down at least $5 preorders on any DS games ($29.99 ones that is) I might be interested in because otherwise they might not get any in! They are very stingy with their DS stock for the store so I hope in making preorders that they are getting copies just for me at least.

Just the 2 DS games you wanted to know about and PoPoLoCrois for PSP. It's not worth asking about all the GC games just yet since I just asked about them a few days ago. I can check those again next week. Though while you have them pull up DS games you might as well ask about Black & White Creatures, Electroplankton, and Dig Dug Digging Strike (should be a $29.99 game but I might want to do a $5 preorder to guarantee a copy). I checked Metroid Pinball already (not there). Thanks!

Good, cause I was gonna have to find Galleon somewhere (soldout at my TRU) to do another trade-in. Hopefully I have a few weeks to find some other quality titles.

Pre-ordered Xbox The Matrix : Path of Neo, on their pre-order list there were 2 versions, the regular one and a limited edition, so I asked for the limited and they said it was ok. The receipt shows the price of that is supposed to be $59.99 so they took $30 off to make it $29.99. Cool deal. (As long as the game doesn't suck!)

Both the 25% and the preorder deals are available at the Riverside store, but you can;t use them both with the same trade, you gotta choose.
 
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (GC) is still not in the computer for pre-order. This kind of sucks because I really need to switch my pre-order form LoZ: TP (GC) over to it, since Zelda is delayed until March 2006 or later. By that time I will already have played FFXII and gotten an XBOX 360 for about 5 months. What is Nintendo doing? :(

I picked up a flier the other day that had the extra 25% deal on it.

Edit: whoops, I'm in Los Angeles too.
 
Went in today and lo and behold, Rainbow Six: Lockdown for GC is in the system. Preordered that with (before 25%):

Midway Arcade Treasures (PS2): $7
NCAA Football 2005 (GC): $7
Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life (GC): $15
Max Payne 2 (PS2): $1.50 (yeah, this one didn't actually qualify, but I just wanted to dump it at this point, the extra 25% took care of any loss)

Total: $30.50 (= $37.75 after 25%)

With my excess credit, I'll probably think about one more trade-in, or just wait for another game I really want to pop in the system.

I greatly apologize to you guys. I made a list of games, but with my terrible short term memory, I left it at home. I will either stop in at GR tomorrow or just call a few GRs and ask them about what is in the system. I'll let you know tomorrow.
 
OK...i just read some very serious (and scary?) information about "reselling" items for profit. Apparently, you are supposed to report the profit you made from reselling the items on your tax report. IE if you sell a game for more than its retail price on ebay (MvC2 anyone?).

My question is, for us who has raked in hundreds of dollars in Gamerush Credits, are we supposed to report that as income??

unless gamerush credit becomes cash i don't think you have to worry.
being credit to buy games at their store you're just using their deals they provide, you're not actually getting any cash, even though you're getting games for "Free" or cheap through credit.

i think technically money you make selling things for profit on ebay and such should be reported though.
 
The Xbox 360 is now in GameRush's system. According to the clerks at the one I went to, they only have a sku for the $399 version. I pre-ordered mine with $50 down over lunch. Have the employees look up "Xbox 360 Wirless Version" (that's what's on my receipt).

Been reading back a ton of pages, didnt see a mention. For teh +25%, are systems included? I'm ready to get rid of my PSP and if they add it that would break me over 300 bucks including the 3 games to trade.

I really doubt the call lists mean jack. If you go in and put your money down today, I can almost guarantee that you would get it prior to (or at the same time as) the people that have their names on those lists. My fifty dollars in their register drawer means a lot more than my name written on one of those lists.

Heading to Gamerush soon, and I don't want to waste the 15 minute drive down there just for them to say it's too late.

I know you can preorder stuff at EB / Gamestop right until the ship date, not sure if Gamerush closes it off early (since they seem to do things in a different, odd way than everyone else).
