- As has been said, it starts on July 19th. I cannot remember offhand the date that it ends.

- Trade any 2 games, get any preorder for $29.99. I forgot to check if XBox 360 games are included in the deal, but as most people have already stated, I highly doubt it.

- The two games that are traded in for the deal must retail for at least $7.99 each (preowned price).

- The credit can still be applied towards the $29.99.

Preorder Lists (Dates are subject to change and when those changes happen up date us in the thread and I will try my best to update here in OP so people won't have to read through the thread to find them)- Credit to io for supplying these lists.

GAMERUSH WEBSITE

This should have alot of stuff so please just search around the website before asking questions. Website updates happen but most deals are in effect way before they are updated on gamerush.com so check in the thread for the newest deals.

In our district at least, people that traded over $10,000 in games had their trade accounts closed. However, I was around the $8000 mark still had my accounts closed. So not really sure how they're calculating this right now...
IO, if you haven't crossed that point by now, I would be absolutely amazed. I suspect they are going district by district, with the DM's doing the research.

Good news for all you people banned in Orange County, the DM Mark is gone. Time to ask for a reinstatement, the new DM's name is I think Linda.
I am not anywhere close to the numbers that Drfrielgood posted, thank you very much :D. If they stick to that cut-off ($10,000) I will be perfectly happy. Though I am definitely beyond what that guy in the "letter" thread claims he was banned for (trading 10-15 games since Spring - and I assume just about everyone who posts and lurks in this thread has traded more games than that into GR!). I have a feeling there's more to that story than he let on (or someone used his account, or they have him mixed up with someone else).

And besides, just about ALL my credit has gone into preorders - I think I have about $150 beyond that, and I'm sure I'll chew that up in preorders soon enough - or in a PS3 deposit. They OUGHT to be happy with all the preorders I've provided, but if there's one thing we've learned about the way Blockbuster treats game traders, it is that there isn't much consistency or logic to their enforcement/punishment, ESPECIALLY given that most of the people banned have not violated any posted or even unspoken common-sense trade-in rules (2 of a title per day, 10 trades per day, flipping between stores).

I just wish that (and we've been through this discussion before) instead of reacting the way they do with bans and suspensions, that they would just clarify their trade-in rules and make it so that if you follow a clear, concise, list of restrictions, then you have no fear of banning - much like EB does! I've never heard of EB banning people even when they take full advantage of their trade-in deals. Remember the $10 bonus for 2 games with no restrictions back in Feb during the TRU 90% green-tag sale? I'm sure MANY people got $1000's out of that deal (I was new to CAG then and only got half my DS paid for that way :D), yet we never heard one story of EB banning anyone from trading as a result.

If there is a problem trading 26 copies of Zoocube (as Drfrielgood says he did -over some large time period I presume) then they need to change their restrictions from 2 per day of a title to 2 of a title EVER - or SOMETHING that makes it so that they don't come back and accuse employees and customers of stealing/scamming/ripping them off, or whatever. End rant...

Well went in today with a stack of games hoping to get at least a preorder with call of duty and mortal kombat:deception- KE. The manager working said any 2 games would work on the restriction and to pick the 4 from the stack since I wanted to do 2 preorders. So here is what I ended up trading in.

Catwoman(Xbox), State of Emergency, GTA III, GTA III Vice City

Total $12 in credit ordered Socom 3 and SW Battlefront II. Used the credit and ended up paying $48 for both.

Since I walked out with my COD and MK:Deception KE what game should I go back to get next...

Resident Evil 4 (PS2) or Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (GC). Those are the 2 preorders I'm waiting on getting this month, and I'm going to go preorder Socom 3 on Tuesday most likely. :D

Well, I can see why a red flag would go up with trading in 26 copies of a game. Now, it's not WRONG or violating rules, but I can see BB side of it. I've traded in my fair share of games....maybe 2 Drakes and couple other cheap games. I have enough credit for an XBOX360 and a few games. However, I can see my credit start to go away once I pay that off. I never really flipped....I did trade games back in though that I didn't like the next week, but that is because they were not my style.

Sorry you got banned....it sucks. I just hope I can get a few more pre-orders in and some more 360 games on pre-order :) Who knows, maybe I'll build my credit back up eventually and get myself enough credit for a PS3 in a year....I didn't really want one, but I'll take one.

How can you not want a PS3? The most powerful system of next-gen, games like MGS, GTA, and Final Fantasy, along with the dozens of sleeper hits like Katamari Damacy and great SRPGs! I'm getting one on launch day along with my Xbox 360 that I'm getting on launch day. The Revolution can kiss my ass, plus my brother is getting one so I'll just play his. :/

Most powerful is kind of a relative term, plus the final specs havent even been released yet for the PS3. Some things xbox 360 will be better at and some things PS3 will be better at, end the end the devs will determine what looks best.

Depending on how much it launches at (i.e. $400 or under) I may grab a ps3 at release. The revolution? who knows probably as a second or third system awaays down the line...

Some trades as of today:

Call of Duty: Finest Hour $8
Bards Tale $8
Hunter: redeemer $7
$37.10 trade credit? What a weird number, o_O I'm going to my local GR today to rent a copy of Radiata Stories and...keep it forever using a certain 'something'. :D
$35+$2.10 tax, total credit on account $37.10. :D

Anyone else NOT get their Xbox Far Cry yet? I went to pick it up today and the guy looked all over the store and then said they hadn't gotten them in yet, and to try again on Thursday or Friday. Strangely I did get my Suffering : Ties that Bind though.

I always thought the Xbox 360 looked better than the MGS4 trailer AND the KillZone 2 trailer... BUT, the PS3 just looks...cleaner than the PS2 graphics, with a little more detail which bugs the hell out of me! I think the 360 games look phenomenal.

Yeah, I'll get the Revolution when it's down to $99.99 like I did with the GC. I bought a PS2 and Xbox launch day, and got the GC about 2 years later... I'm glad I did. :D
$35+$2.10 tax, total credit on account $37.10. :D
You're lucky, at my GR I would get $35 credit, so if I bought a $35 game it would cost me the tax money of $2.10! If you buy a $35 game it's just the credit no money out of pocket. I envy you and your GR! I could have saved about $20 right now in tax money if they gave credit + tax at my GR. :'(

Far cry for xbox and Battalion wars for GC have been at my Gr since last Thursday. Sounds like they finally got stuff a little bit ahead of some other GR's I've been reading about here. They also have DS Trace Memory and DS Lunar.

A few notes from my GR run yesterday...some interesting tidbits for ya ;-)

#1 - Chibi Robo is indeed now preorderable. Hoorah! Traded in Steel Battalion: LOC ($25) and a cart-only Aero the Acrobat ($9) to cover it. Thanks for the tip on these Drfrielgood!

#2 - The 75 cent N64 clearance is YMMV. I went to a different GR this week, and their copies of Mario 64 scanned at $9.99, not 99 cents. However, they had copies of Goldeneye, Diddy Kong Racing, Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Toy Story 2 [!], and Wave Race, all for 75 cents after discount. So it seems like each store has different 99 cent clearance games...maybe based on which N64 games they have the most of?

#3 - Overheard this from the GR clerk. He said something about there being an error in the GR system, and Fable is now trading in for $27! He said that he'd taken advantage of this mistake several times (it sells new for $20 I believe), and was allowing other customers to do so as well. If I had a copy of Fable, I would have tried to trade it in, but no dice. This could be a huge YMMV...can someone try to trade Fable in and see what price quote you get?

Damn, wish i wouldve known that when i went to GR last night.

anyone having luck getting the 25% bonus added when you trade in 3 games? I know it's expired but one of the GR's around here is still doing it.
i just got off the phone with the gamerush i work at and fable is $8 trade in.
$8 at the GR near me as well.

Is there a limit of the number of preorders you can have on your account. Is it better to go in there and do several at once or spread them out?
The preorder deal doesn't include 360 games does it?
Yes it does check out the first post in the thread and there is a list of the current xbox 360 games you can preorder.
Yes it does check out the first post in the thread and there is a list of the current xbox 360 games you can preorder.
Does it still bring it down to $30?
Some rumors that I got from a Blockbuster manager that I figured I'd pass along.

Rumor 1: They will now apparently be getting more than 10 X360's per store, but she didn't know the new exact number. This was how they handled the PSP launch as well, so this was to be expected. But if you were planning on pre-ordering a X360 at GR and they had already reached their limit of 10, check back in the next week or so to see if they have more available.
This may be true. I went in yesterday to pick up a game, and offhand asked if there was a 2nd list I could get on for the 360, and sure enough there was. I was 2nd or 3rd on the list, to which it was remarked that I should be in good shape, because they may get 5 more.
The preorder deal doesn't include 360 games does it?
YMMV to this because some areas of the country Gamerush won't let you pre-order Xbox 360 games yet the list was for those that have a Gamerush that lets them pre-order the games.

FYI, I played the Mario Strikers demo in TRU this weekend with my fiancee, we both loved it after about five minutes. Its just tackle, pass, and shoot, easy as always, Mario. Definitely next on my preorder list now.
Starts on Wednesday....I went to pick up my Far Cry pre-order and asked if they had the FREE RS:3. They looked and said nope, but gave me SC:pT. She said she would look for RS:3 and call me...yeah right I thought. However, today, she calls and says...we got the RS:3 promo copies in...you can come in and pick it up if you want. I was like SURE....and went down after work. So, I got TWO free games w/FarCry.
*grumble*

I specifically asked when I picked up Far Cry about Rainbow, and they denied getting any promotional items for the game. The only thing they had were the trading cards for Marvel Nemesis. Since I didn't get the cards when I got Nemesis, she gave me that.

Funny enough, I was trading that garbage game back in for $30 at the same time.

Sheesh. Now I've missed promos for X-Men, Ulitimate Spidey and Far Cry.

And yeah, still no love for 360 games under the deal around here.

i asked what the promo items were for xmen legends 2, mk sm, burnout revenge, and they told me there were none. i thought there was a free shirt for xmen? i was just making sure there were no other promos for the games (didnt think they had anything anyway.) thinking of preorder RE4 for PS2 for the mini ada figure. anyone know when spartan for PS2 comes out? no go for me on switching my ff12, zelda, or kingdom hearts 2 preorders due to delays to something coming out earlier. 2 year wait on ff12 (at least it feels that way when I preordered back in fall 04.)

Yeah...no 360 games on the pre-order deal yet. However, I was able to transfer a few of my XBOX pre-orders for $10 more. I may pre-order a few more XBOX games, just so I can switch them, but they may get suspicious. So, I don't want to ruin a good thing.

I thought everyone knew about this. My GR originally said they were going to get 10. A week after the presales sold out (about a month 1/2 ago), they had a sign up stating that they had 20 more to pre-sell.
suff 2 -- 30 bucks
suff 2 = The Suffering : Ties That Bind? That blows that it is already only getting $30.

Uh, so is there a new trade 2 get a PPG for $5 deal starting this week? I would be very surprised if they brought this back - but someone in the "GR letter" thread said this:

"To prove this he showed me their new Trade 2 get a PPG for $5 sign that stated no items with a selling price of >$7.99 would be accepted. He says this is a change from previous policy that allowed you to trade almost anything."

Now, maybe he mixed it up with the preorder deal (since that restriction has been in place for a while). But he does say "new" sign and specifically "PPG for $5"... Interesting...

No way is that a deal. Gamerush cant be that stupid anymore. If that promo is legit, I'm pretty sure GR will be out of business before X360 comes out.

Yeah, now the guy isn't sure if he mixed up the deals or not. It's just that he thought the $7.99 limit was some new thing, and we all know it has been around for a while. Anyway, don't get your hopes up. But there WILL most likely be some new deals coming up soon. At my GR they told me the current preorder deals ends Oct 31st. At a minimum they might bring back the new (already released) games to the preorder deal.

You're right - if they do a trade 2 get a PPG for $5 they are dead... The $7.99 limit would help a *bit*. They could do a deal like this, but make it $10 or $20 instead of $5...
Anyone know the Trade value for these titles?

Katamari(Ps2)

Trivial Pursuit(Ps2)
Far as I know, TP gets $8.

Was going to return MoH: Rising Sun for GC (got it for 4.99 at BB, decided I spent too much this month, gonna pare down some of the crap), but does anyone know how much it gets at GR? Sells for $13 used at GS, figure it might still get more than $5 at GR. Might as well turn it into a Super Mario Strikers preorder instead if so.

Some more trades all are for Xbox

Harry POtter Prison of Azakban- $6
Ty the Tiger 2- $6
Scooby Doo and 100 Frights- $4.25
NCAA Football 2006- $27.00

Medal of Honor: Rising Sun (GC) gets $4.25. If I can find one (or three) things at TRU worthwhile in the next week, I'll probably trade that in for a preorder instead of returning it for $5.36.

I really need to get out to a Target soon to get 4 clearanced games to trade in to preorder BF2: MC and Socom 3 both for PS2. After those 2 games added to Lunar: DS, RB6: Lockdown, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (GC), Persona 2: EP (PS1), I'll have about $14-$17 left of my birthday money. Hey, 6 games for $155 is good to me! Especially 6 new games. I've also already got FE: PoR (GC) and RE4 (PS2) preordered at GR. Yay! :D 8 games to tide me over until Christmas, plus my backlog of games. I can handle this long 2 month strain. :D
Is this game really short or something?
if you are talking to me about ult spid, i wouldn't say that it is short, i am just making a conscious effort not to keep games that i don't love for long so i can get the full trade-in value now (especially with x360 coming) -- i have a ton of games from last year that are much better games that i haven't even made a dent in like re4, god of war, dmc3, mgs3, sc:ct etc.

it is a change in attitude towards video game collecting

a bit out of the topic..
haven't been to Gamerush for awhile.. how are their price/selection for the DS games? with 25% off is it worth or should i just wait for their buy 2 get 1 free? thanx

traded xmen legends 2 and burnout revenge for PS2 - 1 was $30, the other $27 (cant remember which)
preordered RE4. sucks that these newer games arent getting $35 any longer, even though their website claims $35 trade in for most newer games. Do they have to match their own website? Also, how does the price match on trade in work?

Did Madden PSP trade value go up? I really want to unload it, but i have nothing to pre-order....I only have interest in 360 games.

They have a few at my GR, but nothing recent. As far as I know (from the bar codes for the promo) the 25% off deal runs until Jan 31st, so you may have a while to wait for Buy 2 Get 1 to come back :D.
