- As has been said, it starts on July 19th. I cannot remember offhand the date that it ends.

- Trade any 2 games, get any preorder for $29.99. I forgot to check if XBox 360 games are included in the deal, but as most people have already stated, I highly doubt it.

- The two games that are traded in for the deal must retail for at least $7.99 each (preowned price).

- The credit can still be applied towards the $29.99.

Preorder Lists (Dates are subject to change and when those changes happen up date us in the thread and I will try my best to update here in OP so people won't have to read through the thread to find them)- Credit to io for supplying these lists.

anyone know if they have mario party 7 in their preorder system yet? that's probably the last game for cube I want to order, though may preorder another one of the DDR just to get an extra mat... thanx

Hey guys, does anyone know the trade value of these 2 titles?

Burnout 3:Takedown

Rainbow Six{Lockdown}

Thx in advance.

Not as of Saturday - I asked then. They are being particularly stubborn about this one as they have added such strange titles as DDR Mario Mix a while back.

For the person asking about the trade-in value of Burnout 3 - I would assume it is $8 (in fact it was a few weeks back when I asked). Basically, any game that is $20 new, and they sell for $16.99 used, will give $8 in trade - particularly if it is a relatively new game like that (or recently added to GH/PH/PC status).
Is Animal Crossing for the DS in the pre-order system yet?
Yes, it has been in for a while now (at least a month).

Anybody know if the new Kirby game is in the system yet? I've been bugging my Gamerush for about 4 weeks and stopped asking 2 weeks ago becuase I felt like I was being a pain in the ass. So, I thought I'd come here and be a pain in the ass !
Hey guys, does anyone know the trade value of these 2 titles?

Rainbow Six{Lockdown}
The sign in the store said $32 for Lockdown last night.

Traded:
Galleon (XBX): $20
SC:pT (XBX): $6
BG&E (PS2): $3
MAdden PSP should be in this week, right?
i am wondering the same, with nary a single review out yet

I am going to trade in Burnout Revenge and cancel some games that I have paid off at different GRs/GS (Have $5 down on CoD2, GoW, GR3, and $9 down on PD0) I will cancel all of those and put the money on Kameo, which I now want a lot after watching the 40 minute video on GameStop. There are some very minor spoilers, but anyone that is not sure on this one, watch it.

Well I went there a week ago and traded 34 items in. These were the top sales:

Gamecube System: $25
Pokemon Saphire: $15
Dodgeball Advance: approx $10
SSBM Approx $11
Mario Kart Advance: Approx $9

10 items were PS2 games: and I got crap for those, but hey, they were just clutter in my room.

I got more for teh 4 GBA games that I traded in than all 10 PS2 games. Isn't that sad?
anyone know how much shadow hearts covenant at gamerush is?
Do you mean trade-in value or price (and if so, new or used)?
It trades for $10, or at least on Sept. 8th it did... I posted this at the time.
I think I saw a used copy tagged at $19.99 there the other day.

Does anyone know how Gamerush Preorders work??

i wanted to change a pre-order to a new release game but
they only refunded $30 saying thats how much i paid for.

This is bull because the only reason i would ever traded in GR is because of the promotion.

Only changing pre-orders to pre-orders are allowed they say.

Any experiences or thoughtS??

Why would you be able to trade in 2 games and get a new game for $29.99? That's not the deal. I's trade 2 games get a preorder for $29.99. They were right in denying you! GAWSH!

Well, what they did for you was the way they SHOULD do it, but it has been highly variable for people here. They would have let you switch to another preorder without paying more or trading 2 games again, right? If so, then that is the way it is supposed to work. Some people have had luck cancelling preorders and getting the full MSRP back. Others have been on the opposite end and told they only get $30 back and need to trade 2 more to get another preorder.

You'd probably be better off trying to return the game after it comes out to get the full price back though - but YMMV on that as well. Or just switch it to another preorder - there's got to be SOMETHING coming out soon that you want :D. Most CAG's would be glad to be able to pick up Battalion Wars or Madden PSP or Fire Emblem or Ultimate Spiderman or Ratchet or Jak X or Star Wars Battlefront II for $29.99 in credit!

And AoLat - they USED to let you get new games with the deal as well - all through the Spring and into early summer in fact. Then they killed that deal along with any used game for $5 (with 3 trades) because people abused the latter deal. I wish they had kept the new release thing going though... I heard a rumor from an employee at my GR that they were bringing this back (the new games for $29.99 that is). But they don't know much more than we do here :D.
Star Wars Battlefron II! THAT'S what I need to preorder! Thanks io.
You're welcome. I've had it preordered since May :D.

One of the reasons I went a little nuts with the preorders the last few months was because they took the new game deal away. I'm not going to buy a game for full MSRP so if there's anything I have a slight interest in I have had to preorder it at GR. Now I just need them to add Mario Party 7 and Suikoden I/II for PSP...

On a complete tangent - what is the longest anyone has had a game preordered for? I think a few of us might be set to break some records with Twilight Princess and FF XII. Both have been pushed off till next Spring or later (esp. FF XII). They will have been well over a year on preorder before I get them. Hopefully GR will still be around then.

i have 2 copies of ffxii on preorder and the zelda tp game. i have had them on preorder since spring. i am thinking of asking to swap preorders since they are delayed for so long in hopes that i can get something now that i can trade back in upon completion using another preorder deal.

Yeah, they won't let me transfer pre-orders either. I wanted to change my Call Of Duty:BigRedOne to CAll of Duty2 for XBOX360, but they would only give me $30 also.

Any XBOX360 $50 games yet? Still waiting...hoping they drop them soon so I can HOPEFULLY pre-order with the current deal.

ya sorry, I was talking about the price. 19.99 is still a little steep for me though, even with the 25% off.
Don't trade in Burnout: Revenge! It's amazing!!!!
Burnout 3 was my favorite racing game this gen, and the Burnout Revenge demo was more fun than Burnout 3. However, I can't play it since I am lacking an xbox right now. I am going to sell Burnout Revenge and then just pay an extra $30 and get Burnout Revenge for XBOX 360, as long as it looks next gen, and hopefully they put in online modes with 12+ people.

Seems like all the stores around me have quit allowing pre-order changes. They will just credit the account $30. Most of the stores are starting not to allow returns for full credit as well :(
Anybody knows if GR got the shaolin monk in???
I called the one in L.A. They said that they would "maybe" have it in tommorrrow (sept 20).
I went to a new location to pricematch some trade in prices. They said they wouldn't pricematch because they would lose money even thou its credit, so i looked around and found their trade in price guarantee online. Im going to print this sucker out and bring it in. If they still refuse im going to call the corporate office and complain.

http://www.blockbuster.com/homepage...mes&channel2=Trade_In&nav=false&channel=Games
They only match trade-in prices if the trade-in value is less than what they sell it for used. So if you were trying to match some of those crazy FYE trade-in prices or something, they aren't going to do that.

Anyone know if any Gamerush got in X-men Legends 2 today? I wanted to head over there tomorrow on my way to the bank and trade in Fantastic 4 and get X-men Legends 2. If they don't have it yet though, then I may have to postpone my trip until Friday.

It would be highly doubtful that they would have it today and if they did it would be on a store by store basis. Just call your local store and find out if it came in.

I called mine last Wednesday about Burnout, and they told me it wouldn't be in until Friday. Later that day, I drove over there, and lo and behold, it was sitting on their counter. So no, it is not easier to call them.

They will always tell you Friday because that is what their computers say for every release. This has been discussed many times before and it just gets frustrating that this "deals" thread has turned into a thread of people just asking if games are in at GR yet. I can understand asking about games that they mysteriously never got in (like Moto GP or NASCAR), but asking on Tuesday if a game that shipped on that same day is at GR yet, is almost always going to give you an answer of no. GameRush will usually get your pre-ordered games in on Wednesday or Thursday, unless it is a game that they didn't end up ordering or the occasional game they get late. But for 95% of the games they actually get in, it's going to be Wednesday or Thursday. This gives them time to actually get the games and enter them into their system. So, when you call the store they are going to look up the game in their system and see if they have it entered into their inventory yet. If it hasn't been accepted yet, they are going to tell you Friday.

Oh well, at least you actually took the time to go to the store and see if they had it in yourself.

Yes, you SHOULD call. Different GR's seem to have different delivery dates. I'm going to check and see if they have my Madden PSP today or tomorrow.

Not to change the subject from the oh-so-fascinating topic of what day of the week GR gets their preorders in (which is starting to rival the Great Sales Tax On Trade-ins Debate of 2005 for sheer excitement), but has anyone seen the reviews for Virtua Tennis for PSP? I didn't even know this game was coming out (though apparently I typed it into those preorder lists on the front page :D). Some of the reviews are saying this is the best PSP game yet, a reason to get a PSP, etc...

Looks like maybe I'll take another trip to GR and do one more preorder. Of course I'd like to time that with picking up Battalion Wars, but since it doesn't come out till Friday according to GR :)D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D) I'll wait.

Seriously, though, since they most likely won't have BW today, I'll probably call 'em tomorrow (Weds) and see if I can get that and do my preorder.

The reason I'm bringing this up is the release date for Virtua Tennis is Oct 4th - so you have a couple weeks for preorders if interested... I really need a reason to turn on my PSP again. I got Burnout Legends but haven't opened it yet. My PSP hasn't been touched since May or June.

You should definitely open up Burnout Legends. From what I've heard it is very good, and if it is anything like Revenge at all for the consoles, you definitely need to buy it. I can't believe some of you guys don't open up your games right when you get them. I rarely ever get a new game the day it comes out, but when I do, I tear that scuker open like it owes me money! :D

Yeah, well, all the GR preorders are coming in by the truckload now (and especially over the next 3 months). I probably won't open half of them for 6 months or more. I actually sold my Burnout Revenge because I know I'll never get to it until a year from now and I can pick it up as a Greatest Hits. I just bought Burnout 3 the other day and haven't even opened that yet! I let WAY too many of the games I got at GR sit around for too long and become GH or clearance titles - Baten Kaitos and Jak 3, for example, and soon Psychonauts, NBA St Vol 3., and GT4 I'm sure.

I did open up and start Radiata Stories though so I am playing one new release. I plan on getting into Battalion Wars too. All of this is only when I can tear myself away from Advance Wars DS though :D.

I am tempted to play Legends though - even though I still need to get through Wipeout and Ridge Racer!

I've already torn myself away from AW:DS. But now I'm going to pick up Radiata Stories, RB6: Lockdown, and either Battalion Wars or Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, with the GS Buy 2 Preowned Games Get One Free. It lasts until October 31st so by then, all three of those games should be in stock used by the dozens. Does anyone know if Hulk or Radiata can be HD Loaded? In case I find Radiata to rent, I might Load it to my hard drive...of course AFTER purchasing it...what? .> :D Is Radiata Stories any good? I like action RPGs and the style of this one looks pretty cool. Also, is Lockdown fun online for the PS2? I don't have my Xbox anymore. :(

The only bad part about pre-ordering at GR is that some of the stores do not call when the pre-orders come in. My GR got MK: Shaolin Monks in, but they did not call, I had to call them and it only took five minutes for them to find it. At least I have a break between classes to drive up and get it. Hopefully they will get Battalion Wars as well.

And what is the deal with Ultimate Spiderman? None of the BB, CC, or Targets had ads saying that they would get it. On the commerial it says September 23, but has anyone recieved it from thier GR yet (or from EB or GS)?

They RARELY call...at least at my GR. I think they may have called twice for my 20+ pre-orders in the past year or so.

Also, Virtua Tennis for the PSP looks to be GREAT. $40 price tag though....so the pre-order deal only save you $10...but not bad with credit and all.

Why is everyone talking about MK: Shaolin Monks? Is it really THAT good? I need to drop a preorder on it, if it is, before it's toooo late!

It got a 7.5 at GameSpot and an 8.0 at IGN. Basically the reviews said that it is a pretty good game with a great co-op mode. If you can play co-op with someone, and you like the MK world, it might be worth it to pick up.
