- As has been said, it starts on July 19th. I cannot remember offhand the date that it ends.

- Trade any 2 games, get any preorder for $29.99. I forgot to check if XBox 360 games are included in the deal, but as most people have already stated, I highly doubt it.

- The two games that are traded in for the deal must retail for at least $7.99 each (preowned price).

- The credit can still be applied towards the $29.99.

$21.99 for 1 Game

http://www.gamerush.com/rules_gamepass.php click this link to find out about gamepass at Gamerush.

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).
GR called me today about Mario Party 7 in case anyone cares.
Yeah, me too... Oh wait, of course they didn't. I wasn't even expecting that today. Guess I'll call tomorrow to see if it is in.

I was wondering the same thing. Haven't heard anything differnet than ten units per store. If any GR employees have any info let us know!

my GR told me they were doing a midnight launch

I was told that they would be staying open until 1:00 AM. Not really a midnight launch, just keeping the store open for a couple extra hours. Anyone get word on whether or not they will get their 10 units in? It seems all the other stores keep reducing their numbers.

You mind asking if they got Operation Flashpoint: Elite in as well?

I asked about Operation Flashpoint Elite at my gamerush and they didn't know if they'd be getting it in this week or next.

Thanks, the funny thing about Gamerush, they never know until they have it in hand (and even then they may not be sure)

Yeah i hope GR gets their initial 10 per store pacakage. I would hate for it to drop to like 5 and then people are pissed thinking they would receive one and didnt.
Kind of off-topic, but Blockbuster is in serious trouble.

Yeah, that's been reported a few months ago. I know most of my credit will go towards the 360 anyways....I'm not worried. I don't see them disappearing overnight either.

On topic....I'll have to check my store for the 360 launch info

i was afraid to lose credit last year so i went and bought pstwo and xbox units to sell for cash. ended up selling for .85 on the dollar, which is not bad for credit to cash. i cant really see gamerush going under since they are doing pretty well in sales (as told to me by store manager) but truth be told, their numbers may be skewed.

Thanks for the post! BB would most likely declare chapter 11, much like Kmart did a few years ago. I went back and looked and they still honored store credit and gift cards, so I am not worrried.

Good to know. Most of my credit will be taken up by the 360, but I got a little bit nervous having paid off Oblivion and GR:AW.

Has anyone heard of possible 360 deals? I doubt it since their games will sell anyway.

I just hope that they will keep GR running until the Revolution comes out. I still have like $500 in credit as well as a ton of games pre-ordered. So I really hope that BB gets that funding.

Well, I would worry a little about the preorders that were postponed until next year. They may honor credit and gift cards, but if they, for whatever reason, shut down the game section, they won't be getting those preorders in, and you'll probably be stuck with $30 credit. Besides, what is there to buy with that credit at Blockbuster without Gamerush?

There may be some gamerushes doing good business, but I doubt it. The ones around me have a ton of traffic, but are still stuck with piles and piles of pretty worthless used games that I'm almost certain they paid more to buy used then they make selling. And how many people really go to Gamerush to buy their new games without taking advantage of one of their money-losing deals? I'm sure their preorder numbers are good, but I'm also pretty sure that they lose money or maybe barely break even on each preorder trade-in deal they do.

Not to be all doom and gloom. I hope they stick around, because I enjoy shopping there.

I dunno - my GR is pretty devoid of used titles right now. They seem to sell quite a few. Sure, there are a couple of titles (like Druaga) that they have way too many of, but other than that they seem to go through quite a bit of inventory. I buy most of my $20-$30 games at GR as well (without any deal of course) since the credit makes those half priced basically. In fact, I'm hoping they have the GC Lego Star Wars when I go in tomorrow. I will trade in my PS2 version (hopefully for $19) and spend $30 on the GC one. They will make money off that.

I too, would worry about the preorders if they shut down GR (and you are right, at best we'd get $30 back). But I have been buying new release DVDs at my local Blockbuster. Sure, they cost $22 but with the credit I'm paying $11, which beats $15 cash at Fry's... I guess I could continue to use my credit on those for the next few years :D.

I saw the Matrix at Best Buy today (and they usually get the games about 3 days after my GameRush....so, I would ASSume they would have it.....but, you never know)

Also, does GR carry/have on the list True Crime (Collector's Edition)? I'm looking to pre-order one more before I get my 360.

Made a Gamerush pit stop today:

Picked up GUN
They didn't have my Karaoke Revolution Party yet

Traded:
SOCOM 3: US Navy Seals ($27)
NCAA Football 2006 ($27)
Ratchet and Clank: GC ($6)
Metal Gear Solid 3 ($9.50)

Preordered:
Okami (PS2)
MGS3:Subsistence (PS2)

$6 credit leftover

Picked up LOTR Rings tactics PSP today.

All the talk about BB/GR dying quickly is premature. They announced they will be closing/selling the smaller chains Movie Trading, Video King and Mr. Movie. Basically they will be streamlining, which they have needed to do for years. The huge lost report was mostly the result of a writedown from the spin off from Viacom. They have been losing money hand over fist for awhile now, but at this point worse case scenario probably be a chapter 11 early next year...

Maybe Blockbuster is filing for bankruptcy because of all them used copies of Drake, Dead to Rights 2, Gallon, and Powerdrome they have in stock?
The lamest is when I call GR and they have the rental copies (of Matrix), but no sale copies...
If it weren't for the good pre order deal there is no way I would ever do business with GR.

Quoted for truth!
Trade values for today:

D2R2- XB= $20
D2R2- PS2= $16.50
MGS2- PS2= $7.00
Unlimited Saga- PS2= $2.50
I can't believe that they still give the $20 for D2R2...

Picked up Gun today for XBOX. Also, to my surprise, I found a used Blitz: The League (XBOX) for $34.99 plus 25% off. I had had that stupid game preordered with them for weeks and finally gave up on it —$they never got a new copy in but had a used one today. WOOHOO!

I went to LinkinPrime's GR in SoCal and indeed the still do the +25% for tradeins. I got:

XBX Dead to Rights 2 $25.00
GCN Fire Emblem $33.75
GCN DDR Mario Mix $33.75

Also my local GR got Mario Party 7 in but not the Gamecube bundle with MP7. EB doesn't have it either, must have gotten delayed or something.

Yeah no luck with the Gamecube Bundle with MP7 at my GR today either. They have a sign up with a promotion going on, get any free gamecube game with the purchase of a gamecube. Figure I will use the credit on the MP7 bundle and try and get Fire Emblem for free. Not sure if they will do the promotion with the bundle though...

i believe that deal is only for select titles only, if you buy the prepacked Pokemon Xd Gcube or MP7 gcube, just ask one of the employees to check the map for you

Is my preorder safe at GR for four or five days? I got the call on Tuesday that Mario Party was in, but I'll be lucky if I can even make it today, so it might be Friday or Saturday before I can drive out there.

It should be safe because you preordered it, i know at some stores its sometimes supply and demand type of hold periords but you should just call and ask how many copies they have and that should answer your question.

Also, when i go into work today i'll look into the select titles only games for free with pokemon Gcube or MP7 gcube purchase

BTW The Darkness was added to the xbox 360 preorder list

Traded in : Madden 06 Xbox - $28.62 including tax credit :D

I noticed this store has used DS systems for $99.99 my normal store still has them marked at $119.99 or something similiar. Damn I'm tempted to grab one and get Mario Kart next week, i'm trying to resist the urge since the 360 hits next weekend.........

Sitting right beside of the stack of used DSs was a stack of used SPs with their own $99.99 sign on top of the stack.

No 360 stuff yet....

anybody know current trade prices on the following xbox games:

far cry
battlefield 2
battlefront 2
burnout revenge
devil may cry 3 ps2

Could you check the map for the Mario Kart DS bundle when you go in? Otherwise I'll just hope they can find mention of it whenever I can get over there.
