- As has been said, it starts on July 19th. I cannot remember offhand the date that it ends.

- Trade any 2 games, get any preorder for $29.99. I forgot to check if XBox 360 games are included in the deal, but as most people have already stated, I highly doubt it.

- The two games that are traded in for the deal must retail for at least $7.99 each (preowned price).

- The credit can still be applied towards the $29.99.
Did you double dip and preorder a game for $29.99?
No, the guy "James" said I could only do one or the other.

Can anybody confirm a trade in price for the GB Micro? I asked today about it and she scanned it and said it was $70, but also was questioning something in the system about it, so she wasn't entirely sure.

I also just sold back Ultimate Spiderman for the Cube for $30. CAGers already know it's dropping in next week's ad.
No, the guy "James" said I could only do one or the other.
Damn that sucks. Sorry man. Its worked everytime with me, but they know me since im a regular.
Damn that sucks. Sorry man. Its worked everytime with me, but they know me since im a regular.
No problem, it would have been pretty annoying to try to pick up a preorder 1500 miles away anyway... thanks for the hookup though, dang that +25% is nice.

Trade values (one requested on previous page):
Star Wars:BF2 - $35 (XBOX)
Ape Escape - $19 (PSP)

Pre-Ordered Half-Life 2 for XBOX....

My last XBOX pre-order with the 360 coming (unless I pick some up for trade fodder later)

My store also said they were not sure what they were doing for the 360....I think they only said they were getting 9 systems (or she only had 9 pre-orders)....she said it wouldn't be pretty if they only had ONE to sell to the general public (I would actually buy it if that was the case)

Ehh, you think so, huh?
Is my preorder safe at GR for four or five days? I got the call on Tuesday that Mario Party was in, but I'll be lucky if I can even make it today, so it might be Friday or Saturday before I can drive out there.
Yeah, you have a week before they just credit your account. I wanted to know the same thing last time I went there and that's what one of the workers told me.

there is a list of people 20+ long at my GR in hopes of extra deliveries. i may have to put my name on there and take my chance on a launch system. (*full price = what am i thinking*) [hopefully the first gen doesnt die within the first year.]
[hopefully the first gen doesnt die within the first year.]
I know exactly what you mean! Is GR offering any kind of extended warranty for the 360? I remember way back when that someone on here mentioned one before the pre orders were taken.

No, they hold it up to a month

An employee told me they weren't offering extended warranties, which is why I never preordered from there. I'll take my chances at Best Buy on launch day, cause I need a warranty with a launch system.

I was afraid of that. Maybe Microsoft will offer one like they did in the past. If they don't, Best Buy here I come!!!

Doesn't CompUSA sell extended warranties for things sometimes...even if you buy it elsewhere? I thought they did that with the PSP. Also, my GAMERUSH is always dead, that is why I think the 10th 360 is not pre-ordered yet. I have mine on order....I wonder if she would've let me get the last one. I could make some decent EBAY cash...but I won't.

Thanks doubledown!! I'll look into that. I have one preordered at GR also. I've been burned by launch systems since the Playstation. At $400, a warranty will come in handy!

So is the trade in 2 get a pre-order for 29.99 still going on? If it is are any of the stores in southeast MI still doing it? I will call my main GR tomorrow to see whtas up.

You can pre-order Dragon Quest VIII right?

Seems like square-enix is a big enough publisher to get their game in the exclusive club that is gamerush. I'm not the biggest RPG fan, but I figured I would pre-order this for 30, try it out and if I don't like it trade it in for 35.

edit: woops I forgot about the first page of this thread.

Traded yesterday 11/9:

All with 25% extra

PSP: GTA - $33.75
XBOX: MK Shaolin Monks - $33.75
XBOX: Battlefield 2 - $33.75
GCUB: DDR Mario Mix - $33.75

I could have sworn that Battlefield got $35 but didnt pay attention till I left.
Some trade in values:

All xbox

Lego Star Wars: $19
007: Everything or nothing $2.50
Splinter Cell $2.50
PGR $1.50
Unless your trade values were from Monday, it looks like they have switched to changing prices on Weds now. That happened with DTR2 and Xenosaga II, and now, apparently, it has happened with Lego Star Wars. I was going to trade in my PS2 version and buy the GC version, but they only offered me $12 for the PS2. It could be that the Xbox one gets more, but it is more likely that they dropped both on Wednesday (or Tues if your trades were Mon).

Oh well... I'm too much of a cheap-ass to only get $12 for it and then buy the same game for $30 (yet I would have done it for $19 - fuinny how that works). I'll wait till it drops to $20 or I find it on clearance somewhere later. It was only for convenience sake that I wanted the GC version (easier for wife/kids to load, easier to use Wavebirds).

So I traded in Tron for Xbox (still $13.50) and NBA Street for PS2 (for a whopping $1.25). This is the third time I innocently brought in NBA Street for the trade 2 preorder deal. Both times before, I was told, as expected, that its value was too low so I couldn't use it. No problem today :D.

I only had time to check for a few games in the system - no Tales of Eternia or Suikoden for PSP, and no new Shadow Hearts for PS2. I just doubled up on another game and will switch it later when one fo those comes in. Also picked up Mario Party 7, LOTR Tactics, and Harry Potter.

I still have one more DTR2 to trade in but held off... Seems I'd probably be safe to go for one more though.

Next week is the HUGE preorder pickup week. I have all of the following to get: Mario Kart DS, Sonic Rush DS, B&W Creatures DS, Viewtiful Joe DS, Shadow the Hedgehog, Kingdom of Paradise, Dragonquest VIII, and Pac-Man World 3 (at EB Games). Wow... And besides Mario Kart, Dragonquest VIII, and Pac-Man World 3 I probably won't touch any of them the rest of this year :D. That will clear most of this year's preorders off the list. There isn't much to get after that (just Animal Crossing DS, Mario & Luigi DS, and Super Mario Strikers I think).

Edit: It seems unlikely that B&W Creatures DS is coming out next week - IGN says new info will be coming about this game in a few weeks. Sure I'd like to know how good the game will be, but I'd first like to know when the damn thing will actually be released :D. But it is a bit of a relief, anyway, that it isn't coming with the big pile of games next week.

i just picked up gun for xbox at my gr.. i even got the deck of cards which was really suprising since they never had the bonuses of my other preorders. i was also able to get battlefront 2 since they sold/never had my preoder of socom 3 and never got any new ones back in. and hopefully theyll get my matrix: pon soon.

and would any one know how much soul calibur 3 is trading in for? thanks in advance
and would any one know how much soul calibur 3 is trading in for? thanks in advance
It gets $30

I know io checked on the new Shadow Hearts being in the system and it wasn't but has anyone checked any other upcoming RPGs? I know Suikoden 5 isn't in there at least as of last week. Does anyone know if Wild Arms 4 or Grandia 3 are in the system?

Did anyone pre-order Magna Carta? I know they never got in DDS or any Atlus titles for that matter but I was hoping they cleaned up their act by now. edit: And checking Gamespot they've announced a sequel to it for the 360 in 2007, wow.
