My store got like 15 rental copies of Gun for Xbox alone!!!! :roll: I always thought the managers decided how many rental copies they got, I never asked just assumed. Looks like some big wigs fucked up though. How can you justify so many rental copies at all these stores? My store gets MAYBE 3 of a big Xbox title.




EDIT: Nevermind I read your post wrong Alan disregard what I said or change it to fit you however you wish. ;) I thought you'd payed another $50 the next day.
 
With the preorder deal just about over and since I burned through the rest of my credit I think my GR days are just about done. Especially since the releases will start there normal winter slowdown.

ya, my store got like 15 copies of GUN but only 1 rental copy of Resident Evil 4 for ps2. Now theres a smart move.

ya, I had it preordered too. My store said they didnt have any ordered so that means it will probably never come, same goes for wild arms
 
Went to a GR different from my regular and different from the one I am expecting pre-orders from... Picked up Mario Kart DS, Sonic Rush, and Condemned: Criminal Origins. I noticed they had Dragon Quest Viii, but of course, where I have mine pre-ordered/paid off, hasn't got it in yet. I need to play this game, asap!

If they do, it will be preowned. I guarantee it. They are about as likely to get an Atlus game, as they are likely to call anyone who pre-ordered a game, and call them within 3 hours of it arriving in their store.

Yeah, that was dissapointing. But with no xbox, and with it not being B/C on 360 at launch, I had to get rid of it. PGR3 will be more than enough to meet my racing needs.


Here is my big dillema:
Condemned and/or Kameo. I really don't want to get both, since 5 launch games is A LOT.
 
Condemned is a better game than Kameo, critically. However, it is very short. Some have said it takes 3 hours to finish. Kameo has received "good" reviews thus far and is $10 cheaper.

I chose Condemned because I am a Sega fanboy. :)

Condemned got an 8.5 in Xbox Magazine. I never said it was "acclaimed", just rated higher.

And the 3 hour length was said by Shawn Elliot, he works for EGM. Maybe you have heard of the magazine.

Ehh.... My mistake. I apologize. I thought you were just saying something stupid to be annoying. Again, my mistake.

Did the guy from EGM really say it was 3 hours???? I can't really believe that, but I guess we will see.
 
Yeah, that's what one dude said. Which is all I have to work w/. But I considered his job so figured there'd be some truth to it. I hope he's wrong. Either way, I am sure I will enjoy it.

My Gr called me today to let me know that Half life 2 was waiting for me. That was Wed. afternoon. I picked it up at 10:45 p.m. Ha! That showed them didn't it.

Skipping the xbox 360, but I played the Kameo demo in the store. It was a cool game. I would considered picking it up. Definitely a unique game compared to most of the launch lineup.

Condemned is SHORT! It went from my buy list to my rental list. They don't have the review up yet but they've got a Kameo review. Condemned I've heard MAXIMUM 12 hours if you do everything on hardest levels.

aaa it sounds like you should just keep both games, since neither game looks like it will take up alot of time. I've heard that both are pretty short, and neither look like they will have good incentives to replay them unless you simply like the gameplay of either. But if you are looking to cancel one because of money issues, I'd go with Condemned since I think it looks more fun.

Amped 3

They also had the silver face plates and headsets in.

And this location said they were only getting 6 premium systems and 2 core systems.

Did they get many copies of CoD 2 in? I'm wondering if I should make a trip over to GR on my lunch break, or just wait until tomorrow.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that. Unless someone pre-ordered a copy, they got exactly 1 of each of those games in. I'd suggest going to the store today if you didn't pre-order (or if you did and are afraid they'll sell your copy to someone else).

Traded my FIFA back in for Quake 4 b/c of IGN's bad review. Had already picked up PGR3. Has anyone gotten Kameo from a GR yet? Seems like that should have been in a long time ago.

Also, has anyone seen any preorder bonuses when they are picking up the 360 games? Noticed some places are giving away shirts with certain games like Call of Duty 2 and Quake.

How many preorders they took? If it is 10 like other stores, somebody will be pissed off. I hope my GR will get 10 as they promised.
 
I guess BB will close GR pretty soon. First, the new promotion to sell all new games @39.99. Second, no sale copies for most of xbox 360 games, only preorders in.

They had 10 premium systems pre-ordered at that location. And yes, 4 people are going to be pissed.

I would doubt they would. They are probably sending very similar numbers to all the stores. The computers should show how many systems they are getting in, so you could always give your location a call and see how many they are going to get.
 
I stopped at my gamerush today. Traded in 4 games:

God of War - $27
Darkstalker - $12.50 (PSP)
Battlefield - $35
Midway Arcade 1 - $6

Pre-ordered BULLY

I picked up Half-Life 2. I tried to get my 360 games and they would NOT give them to me yet. They said not until the 22nd and were strict on it. I can wait...but they just better have them. They had no clue what they were doing for the launch yet also. I guess I'll check back Monday, maybe someone different will be there.

I just got back from Gamerush. I spoke to the Gamerush manager, and he stated he never received any email from corporate not to sell them at midnight, and to come down at 12:00 to pick up my system.

He also said how they are only getting 6 systems, so himself and another employee are not getting one, along with 2 people who he already called.

Also, they seemed to have most games in except Kameo and PDZ, which they expected to get in Friday and Monday. I picked up PGR3, Condemned, and Tony Hawk.

Which city? Wow that will be lots of PPls pissed if it is national that every GR will only get 6 instead of 10 premium xbox 360 in.

I've read smilar stories in other forums so I'm preparing for the worst. My GR has been going down the drain the last few months so I'm used to it. I pre ordered they day they started taking orders so I should be OK. Good luck to everyone else!! :)

Yeah, I was #1 on the list also....now, I just hope they actually FOLLOW the list. They actually would NOT let me pay off my 360 today. I had enough credit to do it, but she said they couldn't do that.....

Fine, take my money later....no biggie.
 
Man, reading these posts makes me want a 360 SO bad. But I only have $106 right now, so I'm out of luck until Christmas... and then there will be none on sale! YESS!

The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago! I wanted to pay it off but the girl said I can't do that. With them recieving less units than anticipated, I don't want to see the 360s go to those who've paid it off before those who pre ordered it first.
