Well, after some overtime and a shower, I did some shopping on saturday and came up with some good stuff:
1. Went to a local gameshop and saw an RE4 collector's edition for 42 bucks. Everything was practically new looking, and the art cell was still sealed so I traded in my regular copy of RE 4 and 2 Xbox games and picked it up along with Darius Twin, the Paper Mario 2 Guide (couldn't get oen for a penny) and an Eternal Darkness guide (game iz teh sweet).
2. Went to Target and found a copy of Kirby: Nightmare in dreamland for 5 bucks (Clearance). Alas, it was already pennied out and they were ready to throw it away until I said "Oh, well, it was for my little sister" at which point their hearts were touched and they sold it to me. I haven't seen that game go for any less than 24.99 cart only around where I live, so I say a new copy for 5 isn't too bad
3. I went to Wal-Mart to pick up some lip-balm (medicinal side-effects mean terribly chapped lips) and check for any game deals. I went to the electronics department and saw no bargains (Go figure), but what did I see on the floor but a bag of Susan B. Anthony dollar coins(21)! I waited around the section for a good 35 minutes waiting for someone to show up looking for them(and digging through the giant bin of crap they refuse to clearance), but no one came, so I did the unethical and took them.
All in all, I think I got a good score for the night. That RE4 CE is sitting there on my shelf like the badass game it is, and kirby is waiting to be palyed on the go. I felt kind of bad for taking the coins, but the last time I turned in a lost item at the Wal-MArt front desk I saw the clerk pocket it (it was a money clip with about 36 bucks) so I figure I should give them to my nephew for his coin collection instead of the shifty CS rep.
