GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Hey goomba, I hope you get your PC working soon.
Can you order from gamestop.com? If you can, how much is shipping?
I've sent you an email describing a little problem I've encountered while trying to register on GFC.
Oh, and I'm happy as hell to finally be able to participate in your lowball sale :p

Setite, yes I can order from Gamestop. Most of the time I can get free shipping for games with the SAVER code (takes up to a week to get to me, but it's free shipping). Just keep in mind they do charge 6% tax for CT residents there. Also, you're absolutely right with the registration link. The link on the lowball page was pointing to the wrong registration page (the old one) and I'm going to fix that. I'm also going to be designing the lowball system to fit the new look of the GFC pages as well. I'll get it all worked out once my computer is working again :) Thanks again buddy. Good luck with the lowball!

Oh and one more thing about the lowball sales guys. The more of you that participate, the more items I'll be adding. If it's just a few people that are going to be doing it then I'm better off throwing them on eBay to get money quick, but I'd much rather have you guys get some great games at some unbelievable prices and move them out that way.

Just remember the Lowball is in Super-Beta form as it's only the second time I'm using this system, but this is how we will grow and perfect the system. Only way to know if it all works properly is to use it. I keep track via my server for all bids (it logs timestamps and all that) so if anything glitchy comes up with the updates to the pages, no worries. I'll be able to manually fix them if I have to. Hopefully it'll work smooth as silk though :) thanks!

** GFC Lowball Update **

I'm well aware there are some login/registration issues with the Lowball system. These should be worked out by the end of the day, tomorrow at latest *Crosses Fingers*. The problem here is that the Lowball system was relying on our old login/logout system before the 2.0 update and I'm working hard to get it up to speed. Nothing crazy difficult, but I want to make sure I do it right the first time so I don't run into this problem in the future. Eventually the Lowball system will blend in better with the GFC page as a whole, but for now it looks a bit different. This will change ^_^

telepathy, as for a preview of what I'm holding back I should have more information around Tueday or so. I'll post some pictures of the many games I haven't listed. I'm still debating how many will be lowball and which ones will be eBay. As a rule of thumb I think anything $30-$40 or more in value will go to eBay, and anything $1-$30 will be Lowball. We'll see :) I'll definitely keep you posted!

At least let ppl here know beforehand. You might get some reasonable offers, which would mean less hastle from ebay & no/less fees. If you have been watching Saetia's lowball thread, you can see people are willing to pony up the money for stuff.

Well honestly eBay isn't so much a hassle as I have been selling on there for nearly 13 years now :) I have all my systems set up with Auctiva and my various web programs that I can list eBay items super easily. And traditionally I get almost two times more for my eBay items than I do Lowball. I like saving you guys money with Lowball items ^_^ But for rare games or new games, I tend to do better with eBay or with the GFC store. Nothing personal :) I just want to be realistic to let you know I'm not going to throw a Demon's Souls Deluxe Edition sealed on a lowball for the fear that it'll end at $30 and I'll lose a bundle.

If I wasn't broke or if I didn't need the money for my wife's trip to China so much I may be more willing to take risks :) But for now I'll probably still list more valuable games on eBay and the lower level games on Lowball. But by all means you guys are free to make offers. I'll be taking photos of all the games I plan to sell this week so that'll give you a little heads up :) Thanks!

Well, I mean, just listen to offers (also I doubt Demon's Souls DE would go for $30 lol). Sometimes you might get one that maybe worthwhile, you never know. And if you feel it's too low, you can always just double check ebay & counter-offer if you want.

Do you have a lot of sealed games goomba?
Can you give us a preview of some of the stuff you are holding back for reference?

Also found out about gamestop.com's save 15% on 2 games that are $19.99+
http://www.gamestop.com/gs/stopwatch/SAVE15.aspx

So ppl who are thinking of picking up Blazblue can also maybe pick up something else as well & save? (or just pair up w/someone & get 2 copies of blazblue purchased maybe)
woooOOO that would be me :3

telepathy, I will absolutely listen to offers :) no problems! Actually, the next update in February will have a thing where you can actually make offers for all items in the GFC store. So if I list something as $50 in the GFC store, and you want to make an offer for $35, you can. It doesn't mean I'll always accept, but at least the option will be there. And this will make everyone happy I think as I can list a lot of items at once and sell as many as possible in the quickest time.

More on this in February!

wizic, I will check up on your order later :) That Gamestop coupon/sale does sound rather nice.

As for sealed games...I don't have a TON but I do have maybe 20 or so? A lot are slightly older titles, some are greatest hits and such but yeah I do have a good amount of them =)

RoganSarine, thanks for posting the link. Just so you know, that link will only be valid though for another 24 hours or so :) I am working on integrating the auctions into the actual site, so they won't be as much a separate entity as they were in the past.

I just have to work on some of the code before I hotlink it properly. The link is also on the main GFC site at the bottom. The GFC Auctions thingie. It's greyed out but the link still works. Once I update the site then I will change the link in my GFC template. Thanks again!

While I am transitioning the Lowball site I almost guarantee you guys will experience some login problems. Don't worry though, the initial items are going until 02/06/2010 so you have plenty of time. Should be working by tonight!

oh okay :) Any games in particular you're looking for telepathy? Let me know. I'll try to have photos for you guys of games I'm considering for the sale up by tomorrow. Thanks!

nobody can bid on anything at the moment. I'm working on it. I'm at my grandparent's house with my mom, stepfather, aunt and wife so it's kind of crazy :) I'm on it though!
Telepathy, yup I have a lot of great items. Almost 200 games from the last couple of years that I haven't sold. I still have leftovers from when I ran my service only as an eBay store if you'll believe it. The Mrs. still wants me to clear up space in our home office and I'm desperately trying to come up with money for her to visit China this March or April, so I'm going to need money :) Hope you guys will see things you like!

TKO, sounds good to me. I have all the consoles and would have no problem testing them for you. Besides, Amazon has a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all their marketplace items so we should be fine. Let me know!

emjaymj, I will be going to the UPS store again tomorrow. I did pick up about 5 boxes but haven't opened them because of my computer fiasco. I'm going to work at my University job tomorrow, pick up the boxes, come home and visit my grandparents/mom again before she flies out, list some eBay games (need money for my wife's trip) and Saturday will be an all-day GFC/eBay day as I have the day off.

Once I get my laptop fully equipped with all my business software/website programs I will keep you updated again via GYROS. Thanks!

jeffx, that's the spirit :) I'm debating whether or not to do the lowball on CAG and on GFC, but honestly I'd prefer GFC only as it's more streamlined, automatically updated and supports all the things I like. It's not 100% functional but maybe by the time I list all the items it will be. Keep an eye out the first week of February as I'll have a lot more info then. Thanks!
kk Goomba I'll try to see when I can get the stuff since I have my eyes on some other stuff and if I dont buy those I'll just do the Warehouse Deals offer

Oh and thanks for ordering that stuff for my Goomba, sorry about all the caps (hehehe) but urgency+coming home from work at 2AM will have that effect on a man looking for $10 games :D.

Goomba, I'm mainly collecting RPGs since they usually maintain the most value out of most genres. Also the main systems I collect for are the Playstation family & Super Nintendo. I'll take a look at whatever else you have on yon anyways.

That's definitely true about RPGs :) I don't have many sealed ones though. Anyhow, I'm still working on fixing the system. Apparently moving it to the new directory really screwed up all my old programming. The funny thing is I developed the page back when I didn't know much about PHP, and it worked, but nowadays I could probably have written a new system faster than it's taken me to patch the old one. Oh well :) That's how it goes.

goomba I can login on the lowball page, but when I press "Bid" it tells me to login again and after I login I go back to the lowball page, unlogged. I know you fixed my account yesterday so might be another bug?

Alright everyone, I'm happy to say that the new Lowball system is in place. Again, it's not perfect but it SHOULD load right. The confirmation screen and all that needs a little bit of a graphical pick-me-up but that's for another day. The fact is bidding should work now so if you have any problems logging in and bidding please let me know. I have set up a sample item for you to bid on.

http://www.gamesforcanada.com/lowball.php

Good night. More items to come tomorrow!

Icetron, please let me know any glitches (even the tiniest ones) because I'd like to get it perfect for all browsers. I still have some cleanup to do on the code, so the sooner you let me know the better. Thanks!

I will be adding in more test items to get people more familiar with the system as well to test my programs that will calculate the winners and such :) Thanks guys! Enjoy.

More items will be added each day throughout the week. I will upload pics of some of them today ^_^

I will change this, but one problem I've noticed for people having problems logging in: when you signed up you used a combination of Capital letters and lower case letters, and for the most part the scripts tend to be case sensitive. I can change this, and will, but for now try to use the same combination as when you signed up. If you can't remember what you signed up with let me know.

If that still doesn't work, consider allowing me to reset your password. In the near future (hopefully at the end of February) I will have all of these options worked out so you can do these sorts of things directly on the site. One thing at a time though.

If you are still having problems logging into the site, or the Lowball system please let me know. Thanks!

Adrianchan56, you have to register seperately. The GFC store uses ZenCart login system and the rest of the site (Direct Requests and Lowball is my own custom system I made). I can't yet use the same login system for both so you have to register seperately. That may be another confusing thing. I'll have to figure out a way to fix that in the future, but for now I have no way around it as ZenCart uses it's own system. Let me know if you still have problems after registering on the GFC site (not the store). Thanks!

With regards to your new and improved DR service, I think the Shipping Estimate should include examples for standard ordered items.

Ex: Weight of a DVD/PS3/360/PS2 game. Weight of a PSP/UMD game. Weight of a NDS game.

that way we can add them up and provide a much closer estimate. Right now I'm looking for standard DVD weight and am finding a bunch of different numbers. Nothing for PSP and NDS.

edit: nevermind, I just saw Amazon.COM has weights for pretty much all of its items. Still think you should include a quick table somewhere.

ONE MORE THING: when previewing the DR, you should provide an "Edit" button, because hitting the "back" button on the browser clears out the whole form.

Standard PSP or NDS game is 5 ounces. 6 ounces shipped just for the record. I will gladly do that for you jeffx. I'll put a little popup thing or a dropdown to show popular weights.

Oh and guys, I'm almost there with restoring my system at home. Have a few more files to backup then I'm going to reinstall Windows. Windows 7 is giving me problems with my old verison of Quickbooks so I have to restore Windows XP on my desktop or else buy the new quickbooks (nearly $200) so by tonight I should be up and running.

Sorry for the delay of GYROS updates and such. We're almost there!

Vhalyar, yeah I'm kind of surprised it's not here to be honest. I had chosen the same day delivery option. It'll be here Monday I assume. I'll get on Amazon's case if it's not. Sorry man. I'll keep you posted I promise!

** Goomba Computer Update ** My computer has been cleaned, defragged and is currently backing up. After that, cross your fingers for me. Hopefully we'll be back in business!

Alright, computer's still backing up so I'm going to go and make some dinner (Chicken Satay and some sandwiches for those of you wondering). I also had a good idea that will probably be the best thing going...

A few of you have asked me if I'd take offers for my lowball items outright, and more than a few of you have asked me for photos of what I'm listing. So...What I'm thinking is this.

I will take photos of all the games I have been considering to lowball/eBay and if you see any that strike your fancy I will let you make an offer. Rather than say yes or no to an offer I will do this: If I think your offer is reasonable, I will list it in the lowball auction for one week with the price you offered with you as the top bidder at the offer price. If nobody outbids you for the week, then you get the item for your offer price. If someone does outbid you, then you're free to re-bid and then I don't have to worry about selling a game for pennies on a dollar.

In addition, I will list some games at starting prices higher than $0.00 to ensure that they don't end up with no bidders. This is a compromise because I want to list some on eBay but I'll give you guys the chance to get them first. Sound fair? I think it's the best of both worlds. Whatever doesn't sell, then it goes to eBay :) Simple as that. I will post a ton of the games photos here tonight. Thanks guys!

I'm glad you're happy with my idea telepathy :) You were the main person I had in mind. So I will go ahead and list a bunch of photos soon. Copying them from my computer now.

I will try to list the photos before midnight so yes technically today :) Have a few things to do (mostly Emails to reply to). This computer seems to be working again so I'm crossing my fingers and hope for no more blue screens =P I'll keep you guys posted.

Nothing like catching up on 3 days worth of Emails/requests =P

Looks like my desktop is still having problems. Since it's all backed up, I'm just going to leave it down for now and work exclusively on the laptop this week I guess. I'll have to do a clean install when I have more time, but there's just so much to do and I don't want to leave you guys waiting any longer. I'm uploading the pics now for the lowball items. I will be posting about it in my main CAG trading post as well. I'll link to there in a minute.

Goomba's Latest Lowball System - Lowball 3.0!

In the beginning there was dv8mad's Lowball system. Then came Lowball 2.0 which was a semi-automated web version. Finally, after nearly half a year since our last lowball sale, I introduce to you: Lowball 3.0!

Bid Here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/lowball.php

Here's how it works. My standard Lowball rules apply:

* You have to be registered on my GFC website in order to place bids on the actual items there (registration is free and takes only a minute). All bidding will be done on this website and bids placed in this thread will not be counted. Obviously you do not have to be Canadian to bid, but if you are then you are more than welcome. :)

* The system works similarly to eBay and other online auctions in that you place a bid on an item and if you bid the highest at the end of the auction you win it for that price, plus shipping.

* You must bid at least $0.50 higher than the previous bidder if you are to outbid them and unlike eBay we do not use proxy bidding. This means if an item is $1.00 currently and you bid $10.00, the price jumps up to $10.00 instantly and you are the highest bidder at that time.

Here's where it gets interesting:

* We are going to be posting a bunch of photos below of games that are not yet included in the Lowball Sale. The idea here is that you can make an offer for any item you see and we will consider it for the Lowball. Here's how it goes:

1) You see a game below that you are interested in (all games for the record are in excellent condition and complete with game, case and manual). Some are sealed as seen in plastic wrap and if there is anything wrong with a game it will be listed in detail in the auction itself.

2) You can make an offer in this thread (either the ongoing GFC thread on CAG in the Canada forums section or my personal trade thread). Example: "Hey Goomba, I'd like to offer $15.00 for Street Fighter IV (Xbox 360)". If your offer is somewhere in the range that I'm looking for a particular item, the item will be added into the lowball at your offer price and you will be listed as the highest bidder by default.

3) The item will be given a full week (7 days) from the time your offer is accepted and will be listed into the GFC Lowball system. Bidding will be open for the week that it is listed to give others a chance to outbid you, should they choose to. If nobody outbids you, then you will receive the item at that price you offered plus shipping. If you are outbid, you have the option to bid again to become the new highest bidder. This will keep offers reasonable and also allow for lowball bidding as well.

4) For any items listed below that do NOT end up as lowball auction items, they will go one of three places: eBay, GFC store or the GFC rewards site (which is launching late February 2010). I have the right to reserve first refusal on all offers and there is no guarantee that I will accept any offers. Feel free to send them though as I'm very fair and consider all offers.

Last but not least: This Lowball 3.0 auction is dedicated to my beautiful wife LanLan. I'm trying to raise nearly $3000.00 total in order to help her fly back to China and see her family this upcoming April. It has been a very hard year for us financially and while I know I won't raise enough money with lowballs alone, it is certainly a good start.

Best of luck guys and have fun~! :bouncy:
