GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

magiic, keep in mind that the shipping price also includes the following: $2 first item fee / $1 additional item fee / Paypal 3% and packing materials.

If you want the same games without the added fees, just contact me directly :) Like I said, the website is something that's a WIP at the moment. Due to the fact that many non-CAGs want to order I need a website, but for CAGs and friends you can just contact me directly at:

[email protected]

Just let me know what games/items you want and it'll almost always be cheaper than the website :) Thanks!

Sincerely,
JJ Parks ^_^

Update 5/9/2008:

A LOT of you guys have been getting some great deals on eBay auctions. For those of you who don't know, I can put in eBay bids for you! The way this works is this:

1) You can go to the my direct request page on GamesForCanada.com found here:
http://www.gamesforcanada.com/direct-request.php

Tell me the MAXIMUM that you want to pay for the item, along with any other information about it. I'll put the max bid in for you and if you win, then you only pay the actual cost of the item/shipping + shipping to Canada + $2 service charge fee. Couldn't be simpler.

If you don't win the auction, then it's at no cost to you ^_^ This service works for both Buy-it-Now Auctions and regular auctions so be sure to check it out. So far I've sent out a ton of items this way and it seems to be the best way to get some killer deals for some buyers. Thanks guys!

PS: I can never guarantee that I'll win the item you want, but in most cases if your maximum bid is placed in time you'll win it as long as nobody outbids us ^_^ I use a combination of sniping programs and auto-bidding programs that are about 99% accurate and reliable. They do mess up occasionally, but I've only had this happen maybe twice in two years now. Thanks!

Thanks for all of the orders you guys have been putting in lately. It's funny that this week almost all the orders were eBay related, but I've been noticing a lot of new members on the site as well ^_^ I'm currently working around the clock on the behind-the-scenes stuff in regards to this new business venture, so I assure you things will continue to get better and better. Thanks again!

Just updating that I've received my GTA4 from goomba today. It's absolutely flawless and brand new, although I got too excited and ripped a bit of the map. :( Thanks a lot, goomba, it arrived here in 5 business days, which is pretty damn good. Will definitely do business with you again!

Constellation, that's wonderful that you got GTA IV...sorry you ripped part of the map, but at least you got a sealed copy ^_^ I originally listed an open-box version on the site, but wanted to reward you for business so I sent you a brand new copy instead. I appreciate all the feedback!

Median I'm also glad you got your Advance Wars: Days of Ruin! :) It would have been faster but you purchased it right around the time I was installing my customer shipping program so I had to wait about two or three days before shipping :) Luckily, now everything is in order and things are moving along smoothly. Enjoy the game, it's a great one!

Also, I don't really have any control over customs of course...sometimes they put things through right away and sometimes they hold onto things. Still, most of the time they go through quickly ^_^ Thanks again guys!

Excellent Azumangaman! I have four copies of Persona 3 FES left...they're going fast :) I can always re-order more if I need to though as it's available from Amazon Prime ^_^ Let me know what DS games you want as I have MANY that are not listed on the website.

In general, contacting me directly through the direct-request form on the site will be cheaper than using the automated web system. The web system is good for general gauges of prices though and for quickest use (and coupons). Thanks! I look forward to doing business with you.

I just had another 4 people sign up for my service :) I'm so happy you guys are using it! See you all soon ^_^

hey goomba ive been considering using your handy service, but the problem is I dont have a credit card, and dont have paypal. Would I still be able to get you to win ebay auctions and I sending the money through the mail? Or is it that too much of a hastle?

helluvagood, that's totally okay. I actually had a customer recently send a Money Order (make sure you get one in US dollars though) and it went through without any problem. Only takes 3-4 days usually to mail it here which gives me time to get your product ready for you.

No credit card is absolutely not a problem ^_^ Anyone else interested just let me know! Thanks guys =)

I can definitely win eBay auctions for you ... I've won about 20 this week alone for Canadians hehe. Great success rate so far!
Hmm geting it in US dollars will be the hard part, but thanks for the reply :)
I did a MO at the bank before, in USD so try there. :)

helluvagood, I think that is correct. It's not hard at all to get a Money Order in US dollars if you ask. I believe most banks and service places do this without any incident. Try it out and ask them :) I've received money orders in US dollars for years now one eBay ^_^

I can accept Canadian Dollars on Paypal but my local bank won't take them for Money Orders unfortunately.

Thanks!

Well obviously using Paypal would be preferred, but the Money Order route definitely does work. I will ask my bank about accepting Canadian currency to see how much it would cost. Chances are it'd be less than $5 so that may be an option :) I haven't done it for many years now so I'm not sure if their policies have changed or not. In any case, I can definitely work with you. I'm VERY flexible about payments ^_^ Thanks everyone!

Just in case you guys are interested, Chaos Wars for the PS2 has been pushed back until 6/3/2008. This game is going to be Gamestop exclusive and retails for $39.99 (+tax). I am already picking up two copies for CAGs...let me know if any of you are interested (or any other games of course). Thanks!

Hi Goomba,

How do you handle things like pre-order bonuses? I would really like to snag a preorder of Lego Indiana Jones (X360 version) to get the free T-Shirt, but unless I can get the free T-Shirt I don't want to order in from the U.S. since I will be able to get it here for a similar retail price. Are you able to place a preorder at your local EBGames/GameStop and cancel it if the T-Shirts are already gone since supplies are limited? Thanks!

Hey Monica, I already emailed you about the Indiana Jones T-Shirt :) I pre-ordered it for you and sent you an invoice as well. Did you not get those? Please let me know ^_^ Thanks! Check your Email that you originally sent to me... I sent it there.

I definitely can get it for you =)

PS: I'm going to pay for your item in full (to ensure I get the pre-order bonus) so please pay as soon as possible. If you need me to send your invoice to another Email address, feel free to PM me here on CAG or contact me at: [email protected]

Is anyone here interested in Ar Tonelico for the PS2? They are selling copies of it reprinted (brand new) as well as a bonus soundtrack for the game for only $19.99 on Rosenqueen.com...please let me know as I want to order a copy for myself and can order one for you as well. Not sure how long it will be available. Game typically sells for 50-60 so this is a real steal, especially for a new copy!

Can you hook me up with two copies of Ar Tonelico. I'd love a copy for $20 and I've got a friend from school who would also love a copy at that price. :D

Weird. AFAIK, it never came with the soundtrack in first print. It was preorder bonus only. Instead, it had an artbook in a box.

I don't know if I want to order this yet. If anyone does not want the soundtrack, I'll buy it from you. If I can't find a seller, I might have to order this.....

Ar Tonelico for $20 is a steal, great game. Definitely worth it, especially at that price. :D

Yeah, the first run didn't come with the soundtrack. :/ I may be interested too if someone doesn't want their soundtrack.

a) 20$ is amazing for an exceptional RPG. lots of text though, visual novel-like at times.
b) the first run had soundtracks ONLY for those who preordered from rosenqueen
c) this repress does not include the art booklet

Okay guys, for everyone that said they want a copy I'll do my best to get you one :) I don't know if they are limiting the number of games per buyer, but today I'll try to order a total of 10 of them to make sure everyone is covered.

Yes, you guys are correct. The original came with an art book that is no longer included, but the soundtrack was a pre-order bonus. Now, it is including the soundtrack which I think is totally awesome of them. Thanks guys :) I will send invoices out to you as soon as I confirm that I can get you a copy. I just got home at 5AM so excuse me while I get some sleep ;) Busy day as the casino I work for is opening their latest casino (MGM at Foxwoods). It's going to be a loooong day haha.

I should also point out the first run soundtrack came in a proper jewel case, and this one is coming in a paper sleeve.

Oh, and Rosequeen already says they're sold out of pre-orders. Thanks Goomba, I totally would have missed this if not for you

retisentry, I went ahead and ordered the PCB for you ^_^ It was $24.95 including shipping. I'll figure out how much it costs to ship to you when I receive it, repackage it and weight it ;) Thanks! I will try to order you a copy of Ar Tonelico as well. Thanks again.

About Ar Tonelico:

Unfortunately, I tried to put in an order for 11 copies to cover everyone and it backfired on me and it now says out of stock :( So it seems like I won’t get any copies now. What a major bummer…I hope they get more in, because after all it was a pre-order item. I hate when that happens. I didn’t want to go ahead and just buy a ton without asking people though because last time a lot of CAGs told me they wanted a game, I was left with 20 copies and nobody bought it…and I ended up losing a LOT of money. So I’m just trying to play it safe. I’m sorry though, if it comes back in stock I’ll definitely order some since so many people are interested.

=JJ=

Haha I've ordered 20 copies of several games in the past :) The worst was probably Beowulf last year when it first dropped to $19.99 .. I thought it was a temporary price drop, so I went crazy haha. Big mistake.

More recently I bought 25 copies of "Advance Wars: Days of Ruin" for the DS. Not quite as much of a money-loser as Beowulf, but not exactly reaping in profits either ^_^ I've been eBaying them one at a time lately and at least getting my money back which is nice. I thought for sure the game would have a higher resell rate..but oh well. Shows what I know :) Guessing ahead of time is really hard sometimes on these CAG deals, which is why I prefer when you guys ask me to get a game that you fill out a custom direct-request form, so I know you want it for sure. Otherwise I'd be buying a ton of games and not having the money to do so ^_^

Thanks guys. Again, sorry about Ar Tonelico..if it comes back in stock when it's not a pre-order I'll definitely let you know. Thanks!

Maigoyume, yes I did get your PM(s) and I put in the bid for you :) I was at the Asian Supermarket with my wife so I wasn't home to respond to your message at first. I put in the proxy bid though so you should be all set as long as nobody outbids your highest bid. Thanks! I love doing these eBay auctions for you guys, it inspires me for all sorts of purchases I want to make (but cannot yet afford haha). Thanks!

I bet if you wait a year or so on DoR it will go up in price. The other advance wars game on the DS appreciated in value after it became really hard to find in stores.

You're kinda sorta right. Advance Wars: Dual Strike was up to almost $60 sealed/NIB for a while, but then again after DoR came out it dropped significantly again. It's hard to keep up with collectors and their crazy pricing mechanisms ^_^

I'm definitely going to keep some sealed copies on hand for now, but in the meantime I'll probably sell off most so I don't lose as much as I have in the past. Man it sucks having to sell 20+ games at a loss of $10-$15 per game. OUCH. Talk about lost opportunity :)

That's why I gotta really rethink my games reselling and stick to one order a time. Doing these custom orders for you guys has really opened my eyes to a lot of things ^_^ I appreciate the gained wisdom!

You're welcome retisentry :) Keep the order requests coming. I will do my best to fill them ^_^ I have to go to work now but I will have the next 4 days off thank God so I'll have a lot of shopping/ordering time. Cya soon guys! BTW I monitor this thread religiously on my iPhone so feel free to comment any time. Thanks!

Yeah, our market especially is gonna be hard to see as our deals are quite different from yours =P The custom order thing is amazing though. Do you want to a little more public with it anytime soon? I could tell the Canada topic on NeoGAF or create a new topic for it there if you're ready to go past the beta testing phase.

I meant to post the other day, and I almost forgot! The four games I ordered from Goomba (including Path of Radiance in great condition. and Paper Mario sealed) showed up the other day.

Thanks Goomba! I'll be watching the stateside deals much closer from here on in. :)

Okay lots of things to address here, so I'll do one at a time ^_^

1) Magiic...I wish the iPhone wasn't so expensive as well. I view it like I do a Next-Gen/New-Gen gaming system... you get what you pay for. It's easily the best phone on the market in my opinion, and I use it for everything from Email/Checking Bank Accounts/Updating eBay auctions/Checking CAG/Listening to Music in car/Watching TV shows/Movies/etc. There's just a million things it can do. For $440 roughly it's well worth it, considering I paid that much for simple Palms in the past. Chances are that the new 3G models will come out this year and the current models will drop, though I doubt by much if you follow Apple products closely. $100 tops...

Firestorm: I appreciate your question actually. The Direct Request form is of course the lifeblood of this project. The "store" is really just to list products I have in stock or to get people's imaginations flowing, but custom orders are really where it's at. I am waiting about one more month before "going public" because I still have a lot of things I have to figure out, and I want to continue adding to the site. Really, the more automated I can make the process, the better. I like doing custom orders though and I definitely would like to branch out. I also have to make sure that what I'm doing is totally legitimate (I believe it is but I don't want to get shut down for missing some minor rule or something). I expect by the end of June or July at the latest I'll start advertising more and such :) Thanks!

Dreganfyre: I'm so glad that you got your games! Finding Path of Radiance wasn't the easiest thing but I was happy to find you a complete copy for a lot less than eBay sellers wanted for it. You got lucky with that great Paper Mario price as well ^_^ Please put good feedback for me on CAG's iTrader system and I'll do the same for you. Thanks!

Thanks dreganfyre! Yup, yup that's the idea :) Obviously if I have a higher rating on CAG/eBay/elsewhere then people will be more likely to want to use my services. I appreciate all you guys are doing for me ^_^ You've given me a lot of little tasks lately and that's the kind of stuff I love most. I love deal shopping, shipping and trading games so you guys have given me a lot of fun lately hehe. Thanks again and keep the orders coming :) I have a few more of your packages going out now. Cya soon!

The other big problem with the iPhone up in Canada is the more "advanced" service plans are INSANELY expansive. Stuff like web browsing does not come cheap from wireless providers in Canada

Aaahhh Okay well that makes more sense. Fortunately we have a lot of cheap unlimited Data plans just hitting the market now in the US (Finally!). I hear rumors that Rogers will carry iPhones officially by the end of the year, so if they're smart they'll come out with some affordable unlimited plans as well. Time will tell. In the meantime sorry that Apple/Rogers/other cell carriers are playing hard to get. You guys will get them soon enough :)

Good News about Ar Tonelico (Sort of):

This is the message that Rosenqueen sent out to people asking if they were going to get more in stock:

Dear Valuable Fan,

Thank you very much for taking your time to contact us, RosenQueen.
We are sorry but right know we are stopping the preorder because we have a problem with the distributor but as soon as we resolve this problem we will restart the order. Again, we are sorry for the inconveniences.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Hope to see you soon at RosenQueen.com.

Thank you very much for your continuous support.

Sincerely,

Merchant Monkeys

This means there's a good chance that we may be getting them again soon :) I'll keep track of how many of you wanted them and order them if they come back in stock. Thanks guys!
